Wonderfully restored old style motel. Decorated throughout with 50s and 60s memorabukkua, /breajfast sekectuibs were unique and quite pleasant. Overall one of our best lodging experiences.

This is a sleepy town without any real attractions where everything closes early even on weekend nights. However, I can strongly recommend the WildEdge brew pub, both for its beers and the live music (though also closing at 9 pm).
The Canyons of the Ancients and adjacent pueblo ruins North of Cortes are well worth visiting.

A very nice town of about 9000 people, a very clean town with some awesome eateries. Lounging Lizard I highly recommend as well as Beny's Diner for breakfast. Wish I had more time to explore this little gem of a town. Very easy to get around.

Cortez is a cute little town.
Cortez is a cute little town. Friendly people and a variety of restaurants and fast food facilities. Not sure I would avoid any part of Cortez. Close to the 4 Corners attraction as well as Mesa Verde.

Cortez is a convenient location.
Cortez is a convenient location. We went to Mesa Verde National Park, Monument Valley, Canyonlands and Arches National Park, and Telluride from there.
Arches National Park closes for a few hours if too crowded so it's recommended to get there early.

My hubby picked up tacos at a local Mexican restaurant in Cortez and they were quite good. Cortez is a small town, so navigating around town is very easy. Next time, I would most likely look for a cabin in the mountains for lodging.

They put on a great fireworks display!
They put on a great fireworks display! It was awesome to see the locals very appreciative of the display, also.
This town is less than 20 minutes from Mesa Verde National Park.
Not sure if it was the area or the fact that it was the 4th of July but there was more drug & police activity than we are used to(we are from Northern Colorado).
If you need ice for your cooler, don't waste your time going anywhere but to the Safeway and they have very nice cashiers to boot!
It is a cool 60’s style motel. We rode from NW Arkansas to Yosemite and back. This was the only place we stayed going both ways. We stayed in several motels bc I prefer them over hotels. You can park right in front of the door making unloading, loading super easy and be confident your motorcycle or vehicle is safe and secure. When I’m back in Cortez I’ll definitely stay here again.
The past reviews indicated negative things that I did not find. This motel is an older, budget-friendly motel but the room was clean, bed was comfy, and the shower water pressure and temperature was amazing! No drizzle shower at this location!!! I would definitely stay here again when I come through Cortez!
This was a clean and comfortable place to stay and a very good value motel. The desk clerk was very friendly and the owner was super nice, even offering me a free breakfast at her other hotel just up the road. I would definitely stay there again.
We chose the hotel since it was close to Mesa Verde (since the park hotel was full). It is very convenient to the park and of course to Cortez and the amenities of a small town (food, shopping, etc). It was quiet and the bed was comfortable.
We had a lovely stay! The location was quiet and private, with a big yard and acess to a creek nearby. The house was well equipped, clean and spacious. Tammy was lovely, communicative and very helpful. Would definitely recommend!
Rooms were fine with fridge and microwave,. Clean and spacious. good restaurant/brewery down road for evening meal.
Hotel has swimming pool. Slept very well. Good breakfast, Would definitely stay there again
Was unable to stay. The property was sold and all reservations canceled.
The (former) manager had arranged a room for us at a different motel down the road and they honored our arranged hotel cost.
A nice looking place. Some rooms have a beautiful view to the mountains. Beds were very comfy. Breakfast was good, a bigger choice than usual (more fruit and veg would have been nice for my taste).
…but this property has been outstanding. Clean, good value for money, good location. Super friendly stuff and the hotel is designed with such heart and attention to detail. We loved it!
If every hotel had a manager like Latrisha it would be 5 star.
She was wonderful is solving a very complicated problem.
Very good location for food and to visit the surrounding sites.
Location was near to town but quiet. Exterior lounging area was inviting. Desk staff were friendly, helpful and inviting. This was why I like to stay in classic motels in the West.
Decent rooms, and there is decent food nearby.
They used the newest-standard WPA3 security for their WiFi. I have never seen this new standard in use anywhere else before.
The breakfast offers a lot of different choices and it's all you can eat buffet.
There is a fridge in the room to keep your food fresh and a microwave to cook.
