Mersing is not a town to visit. It is simply the starting point to get to Tioman island and other islands.Do Not stay in the town….it is run down with nothing to do.I stayed at the best hotel and it was disgusting…..see my trip advisor review under Blighty.

The main reason to stay in Mersing is to catch the ferry to Tioman Island the next day. For a couple fo hours there's are enough possibilites to have a snack or a meal, get money from an ATM (you'll need cash on Tioman) and do last minute shopping.

A small fishing village where you can easily access by foot to the local foods, nearby beaches, river, etc.
We have also visited the Bt Selantai, Pulau Mawar, The Green Lake, by hired private cars.
A must try roti bakar & their nasik dagang is a bonus !
The fried carrot cake & noodles is fanstastic with reasonable price.

Mersing is a good town by itself.
Mersing is a good town by itself. Town that use by traveler to stop by especially for those going for fishing trip or going to Tioman Island.
No much sea food served by the shop, since the place is popular for deep sea fishermen.
Should promote more of eating outlet for sea food favourite.

It is a typical small Malaysian seaside town.
It is a typical small Malaysian seaside town. Clean and quaint with a wide variety of cafes, restaurants and other eateries. The beaches are clean and the cost of accommodations is reasonable. A nice place to rest and relax. The seafood is fresh and delicious and do Google for place to eat. I worked of an internet list and was surprised at the accuracy of the reviews. Reasonably priced delicious meals are to be had here.

Hotel was the worst hotel i stayed before.
Hotel was the worst hotel i stayed before. Hotel Manager Mr Ben was totally arrogant and not open to any feedback. I am not sure about other hotels, but definetely Bayu Lestarinis a disaster. I saw many European people were complaining but hotel manager does not care
The house is 5 - 10 mins drive to the beach and mersing town. The property itself was very comfortable and user friendly. Even senior citizens can come and have a good stay. About 12 people can stay in this house. They even have an induction stove, dining table, kitchen utensils, BBQ place, plenty of parking, washing machine, and comfy beds. It was indeed a splendid stay!
Good hotel for a family. The beds were set up for two adults and two kids which can be tough to find. 24-Hour reception with English speaking employees was a big bonus. Felt like a safe neighborhood. They even give us a free shuttle ride to the boat docks in the morning. Hotel room was simple but clean and comfortable. It was exactly what we needed, definitely recommend.
It is a budget hotel and not really much to expect. But it is located at the end lot of a row of shophouses and has extra parking space at the adjacent lot (although is paid public parking). Nearby restaurant and shops mean that it is convenient to find cooked food or other stuff. Walking distance to the public bus terminal.
Very near to the main city. About 15 min to Air Papan & 25 min to Penyabong. House is so clean, towel, wifi, & mineral water provided. Owner really helpful and friendly. Recommended for those who want to visit with big family. I brought 11 of my family members and its still feel spacious.
Comfortable budget hotel, room very clean, spacious, value for money. Near to the jetty Mersing. We have a good rest after back from tioman. Easy to access, have a self service laundry, restaurant 24hour and 7eleven. Staff also very friendy.. just ask for the hairdryer at the reception.
The room is spotless, bedsheet is new. toilet is clean. Wifi is very strong. Ample private parking space and they provide free shuttle to Mersing jetty if you are the hotel guest. TV has good selection of channels for a budget hotel.
Great location. Yummy prata stall right next to hotel. Basic facilities, good enough for a nights rest. Beds are comfortable. Cleanliness is acceptable. Will stay again if heading that area
Clean and spacious house and parking space for more than 1 car. Very suitable for big family. Located very near to the Mersing town centre. The owner was very quick to respond to my query.
Location in the centre of city.near fast food restaurants such kfc, pizza ,subway ,easy to enjoy seafood near the beach just walk to the Speedmart 99,DIY and other store to get essential.
This is absolutely the best homestay in Mersing. My family and I don't want to stay anywhere else. The property is immaculate. Communication is outstanding. The location is perfect.
