All of the properties on the island are Older and I have stayed in most of the hotels in the area. This hotel ranks in my opinion an overall 7 for not keeping up on maintenance.
The staff seems new and confused. I waited longer than expected for a table. The views are great.
Offering a sun terrace with free WiFi, Villa Flavia is just outside Ponza Island city center and a 10-minute walk from the beach. A shuttle to and from the harbor is available.

The host was so wonderful—she made us feel so welcome. Even made us eggs for breakfast!
Maridea - Les Suites Du Soleil features air-conditioned accommodations in Ponza. Ponza Harbor is within a 5-minute walk of the apartment. The apartment has private entrance.
Small island with a lot of secret history. We visited the Roman cisterns and the botanical Garden as well as taking a boat trip out to neighboring island--uninhabited-- of Zannone. Attractive little shops in Porto the main town and very good restaurants, as this place caters to Italians--very few foreign visitors. Very good bus service races up and down the island, depositing people above the best beaches, which are a long way down!
NB Mainly fish on offer.

Beautiful island with breathtaking views.
Beautiful island with breathtaking views. The sea is multicolor, the water was so clear and beautiful.
I recommend taking a hotel near the port, as most of the life was there, however it wasn't too crowded and it was so pleasant to walk around.
I recommend a cruise around the island (we took one with Cooperativa Barcaioli Ponzesi), we had really great time and there was lunch on board.
Just a couple of things to keep in mind:
1- The island is quite uphill from the port, therefore when booking a hotel, even though it says that it's only 10-15 minutes walk from the port, there good chances that it is uphill, so you must be quite fit. Of course the view from uphill is so beautiful, and totally worth it, but not the most comfortable option. As there are a lot of stairs to go up, taxis may not get you exactly where you need to go. If you have mobility problems or you are unfit, please speak with the hotel to ensure that it is the right one for you, otherwise you may choose a hotel in front of the port.
2- The island is quite pricey, definitely more expensive than average in Italy. A coke was 4€, and a small bottle of beer 7€. Average meal with one main course and a glass of wine was about 35€.

Beautiful views and since it was the end of the season (November) there was enough space to park your park, despite the small and steep roads. Do not visit this island with your own car during the summer. There is a good bus on the island.

Ponza is a beautiful island which in many ways feels quite untouched. The best way to experience Ponza is by boat and I highly recommend that you spend at least one day sailing around the island with a local.
Have been coming here regularly for 10 years. It is a very personal and charming small hotel, where you almost feel like a guest of the host couple Rita and Antonio, that will do their uttermost to make sure you have a good stay. All but one of the rooms have balcony/terrace and the view is amazing from here. Love breakfasts at the little terrace in front of the hotel. Attention paid to small details makes it feel nice, even if some details might start to feel a bit worn.
The staff was very nice, he really made us feel at home.
The view and the facility was incredible, we even had dinner there a few times since there was an open kitchen available with everything you’ll need.
The location is near to the most beautiful beaches in ponza.
The breakfast was really good mostly because everthing was fresh and made personally by the owner Luigi.
Everything was great and met our expectations.
We really recommend it!!
Carlo was meeting us at the harbour and took us kindly to the apartment. He also helped us to the harbour when we left the apartment. The situation of the apartment was perfect as well as the size for us two. You didn’t have to climb up the hills to reach shops or bars. The apartment even had a small terasse/yard where you could have your morning coffee. If we ever come back to beautiful the Ponza, we would love to stay in this apartment.
Fantastic location. Connected to the main town by a 15-20 min bus ride, it is right in front of the steps to access Cala Feola, one of the rare sandy beaches in Ponza, and it is contiguous to Le Piscine, which can be reached swimming from Cla Feola, or through dedicated steps at walking distance.
About 10 minutes walking distance from the small center La Forna, with groceries and several restaurants and cafeterias.
Highly recommended.
the family room was a nice days for us 4. the pool was small but large enough for multiple guests and to cool off durning the heat of the day. the view was spectacular from the pool area and worth the climb up the hill to the hotel. open area lobby brought in some great shade and breezes. staff was very friendly and welcoming, we found the breakfast to be plenty of choices and well stocked. AC was great too.
This is the best place to stay on Ponza - a unique spot that is right on the beach, and with a private pool. It’s a delight simply to stay on the property all day, but is also a great location to travel the island. We stayed here on our honeymoon, and loved every minute of our time here, and would love to come back. One major highlight was Elena, our incredible host, who cared for us like we were family.
What an amazing experience.
First I like to thank the team for been so kind and helpful.
The hotel is really well located with an amazing views of the port of Ponza.
The rooms are clean spacious with good facilities.
Close to the best bars and shops from the port of ponza. I definitely recommend this hotel and I’m personally definitely staying there next time in Ponza.
Thanks
Everything. Sadly we got taken by the island sooo much we didn't spend much time at the hotel but the Staff is top notch, the view INCREDIBLE,position excellent (less than 10mins walk from the center) Breakfast good. Would reccomend the restaurant as well for dinner, not the cheapest of options but lovely food and great service.
We will be back!
We absolutely loved it!!!
The apartment was outstanding!
It was so beautifully decorated, very very clean and the staff was so friendly and accommodating! This was hand down the best place we ever stayed in Ponza!!
The view was stunning and the area was very quiet and peaceful!
Cannot wait to go back again!!!
Grazie Lucia!!
The hotel is located just a few minutes walk from the Piscine Naturali which is wonderful. The view from the terrace is beautiful and it´s wonderful to have breakfast with a view before walking to the beach where you can rent boats and sail around the island. We loved staying at the Hotel and will hopefully return soon :)
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel especially welcomed. The room was immaculate, the staff were incredibly accommodating, and the location was perfect. The view from our room was spectacular. This will be where we stay every time we visit Ponza. This place is an absolute Gem!!!!
The owner is very welcoming and helpful. the apartment / small house is fantastically well positioned in Santa Maria which is a great suburb of Ponza. the house faces south west so the terrace gets plenty of sun and is very comfortable. The coffee machine was excellent too.
Nice and quiet location within walking distance from Chiaia di Luna.
Transfer to/from hotel on arrival and departure days included. Rosaria the owner is amazing and one could spend hours listening to her stories about Ponza and the Ponzesi.
Property had the most gorgeous view! Have to walk up a decent amount of stairs but very worth it. The people working there were so kind and accommodating. We loved our stay! Ponza is amazing.
