Just lovely! Beautiful property, the owners are great, the room, the amenities, the drinks and snacks they have available (extra purchase), the location blocks away from restaurants, the breakfast well prepared! Don’t remember another place I stayed with such great cost benefit.
Lush, green gardens and comfortable accommodations await guests at this hotel, conveniently located halfway between Cape Town and the Garden Route, in the town of Montagu.
Located in the heart of Montagu, this lodge offers nonsmoking rooms and a gourmet restaurant serving game dishes. Free parking is available. Cape Town is a 2-hour drive away.

I appreciated the welcoming staff. We arrived before the check in time and was allowed to check in. The property was neat and clean. The pool was clean, hot enough. The family thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Beautiful location, perfect for a relaxing few days. Amazing views from the room's balcony and the restaurants. The food was excellent. The pool was a lovely escape from the heat.

A lovely clean little town located about a 2hr drive from Cape Town. Blown away with how well maintained the town is, with lots of little browsy type shops, coffee shops and restaurants. We didn't have time to hike but the trails looked great. Friendly locals. Located near to some wine farms as well.

Everything was lovely.
Everything was lovely. Excellent service, good facilities for kids. Children enjoyed the pools and play park. The astro turf for mini soccer and tennis courts are well maintained. The games room was not available for use due to a function, this was not ideal as it is part of the Montagu resort experience.and should always be open to its residents. The accommodation was reasonably comfortable and clean. The villa we stayed in is a bit dated. Generators should be used during loadshedding. All in all, a wonderful experience. I will definitely keep going back.

One of the most beautiful towns in South Africa, with mountains all round the views are beautiful throughout the year. The town has enough shops and restaurants for locals and tourists, but not so much that it becomes crowded (although I haven't been there during peak season). A good fusion between winelands and Karoo.

Montagu is a beautiful, clean and safe town.
Montagu is a beautiful, clean and safe town. We went for school rugby so did not get much time to spend sight seeing, but really enjoyed the natural beauty and friendliness of the towns' people. We had dinner at Mitchell's Pub and Grill....truly some of the most value for money and tasty rump steak I have had a very long time.

Beautiful old Cape town with many original buildings and points of interest. A walking tour around the town is pleasant as long as you steer clear of the main street and its surrounds, which are very shabby.
There are many choices of venue to have a meal if you are not fussy about food, but for fine dining you should try the Montagu Country Hotel's Charleston Restaurant.
Its really a beautiful setting. Surrounded on all sides by mountains. And on farm you feel very much in country. But montagu only 10 minutes out if you need something from shops.
Pool area is lovely and i like the idea of honesty bar and pizza oven, although we didn't use this time round. Also enjoyed the outdoor shower.
Really nice touch of getting bread on arrival and very nice home made cookies.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
A great surprise from the moment you arrived. Everything felt trendy, well maintained and intimate. Pauline was incredible. We arrived late and she was caring and wanted to ensure we ate. She immediately phoned restaurants and booked us a table at Montagu Country hotel. (Great food). The gardens and the reception/restaurant interior was trendy, fresh and clean. The room was great. Everything was clean and well thought through.
We stayed one night at Vineyard Montagu, we were lucky enough to meet the owner of the hotel who was very lovely and super friendly.
As we were there on a Sunday the owner had kindly prebooked us a table at the only restaurant open in town. Which was super thoughtful and greatly appreciated as we hadn’t even though about it!
The grounds, vines and gardens were lovely as was the out building for breakfast.
This is a stunning weekend getaway spot for those looking for a break from connectivity and a serene environment.
The units seem newly built or refurbished and the facilities are all you can expect for a self catering place and top class. Pieter the owner is very friendly and accommodating.
A 10 minute drive to Montagu means you are not too far from civilisation should you miss it.
the property is incredibly beautiful - the early XX century house and the well maintained garden make a peaceful atmosphere to rest and relax. the owners of this place are very friendly and helpful with their tips. the breakfast is amazing.
the location is perfect for discovering the Montagu town.
a true gem.
Everything. Beautiful location. Very exotic. The pools are beautiful and well maintained and clean. The staff are very friendly. It was really lovely returning to Montague Springs. My kids love the place and can’t wait for our next visit.
as a self catering cottage, it was great with an option of an outside or inside braai and a kitchen big enough to work in. rooms were nicely sized. I sadly didn't try out the hot tub this time round.
We loved everything about our stay. Wonderful, quaint cottage situated on a wine and olive farm in the heart of Montagu. Such friendly staff who made our stay so welcoming.
Such a nice place to stop while visiting Montagu! It is a must! Warm welcome, cozy and comfortable room, excellent breakfast! We didn’t want to leave… Highly recommended!
Wonderful hosts and excellent accommodation. The welcome messages from Genevieve put the icing on the cake. Close proximity to the Montagu Springs is a definite bonus!
Location, room, pool, staff, food. The staff were very accommodating. The beds were comfy. The hotel is the centre of the town. The hotel is also very modern.
