The team at Garden Guesthouse was extremely accomodating to my team and I. At the last minute we needed a few more rooms and every need was met. Anyone passing through should stay at least a night to experience the local hospitality and kind hearted ownership of this beautiful spot. The value just simply cannot be overstated. Cool rooms, comfy beds, hot showers, good food, good people, calm environment.

Very fair price for a nice guesthouse! I stayed there three times and never had anything to complain about. The owners are helpful and flexible with Check-In/Check-Out times. They will help you find a moto for rent (that can be tricky in Kampong Chhnang) and allowed a short-notice additional guest in my room. The rooms are nice and clean, two out of my three rooms very nicely decorated as well. The third room was more basic but still had everything you need! Good location, and a lot of plants throughout the property!

We were two female guests. One American, one German. Our overall stay in Cambodia was 20 days. Pros: Garden Guesthouse was our only budget stay while in Cambodia. Garden Guesthouse is located within a beautiful/thoughtfully developed garden, which is a standout feature. The guesthouse is simple (with fan, or AC at additional cost). The bed was comfortable and the simple room safe. Nice that there is covered seating outside the room. There was a simple restaurant for breakfast and lunch on the block, and good coffee close by. The best part of the stay was the day spent with Channy the tuk tuk driver. Channy spoke excellent English, had much knowledge of the area, and gave us a completely enjoyable day. In the afternoon boat trip to floating villages, Channy made sure we were safe as a major storm approached. Garden Guesthouse provided water for refillable water bottles. There was a relaxing/comfortable seating area in the garden.

What a gorgeous environment Sophia has created. It certainly deserves the name ‘garden’ , an oasis in the unseasonal heat this year. Loads of lovely cabanas decked out with colourful cushions and hammocks. My favourite spot a top deck hideaway with relaxing rattan chairs and a fan. Great spot in the evenings. Room very simple and Uber clean. Great aircon. Sophia arranged some awesome little trips to visit places I was interested in (pottery, weaving etc). My lovely Tuktuk driver Vanny was helpful with explanations and translations my endless questions.

The place is quiet, not far from the center of Kampong Chhnang. The tuktuk waiting for us at the bus station without having booked anything is a must, that is a very good idea! Rooms are simple but for the price this is enough. Special mention to the private terrace for the bungalow which is very appreicated.
