I was comfortable, the breakfast was wonderful. The cornettas were fresh! The view was amazing! For me, my great grandmother was from this town. It was a special visit. The church of St Tommas, one of the apostles is right around the corner. There are many wonderful restaurants. One of my favorite things to do here, is rent an electrical bike and ride along the ocean. There is no price you can put on this experience!
Le dimore Al Vecchio Teatro offers elegant suites. It is set in a historic building of year 1750, located in the center of Ortona. Palazzo Farnese and the Aragona Castle are a 2-minute walk away.

Everything was clean, elegant and nice. The breakfast was lovely, full of typical products. The host was very friendly and helpful.
Located in the Abruzzo countryside, 3.7 mi from Ortona, La Casa Del Palombaro is set in restored 19th-century buildings. It offers a peaceful garden and rustic-style rooms with a private bathroom.

The city itself is pretty and have a nice view of the port, but lacks attractions. People are weird and regard themselves too high, be prepared to be snubbed by waiters and attendants. There are beaches nearby, which require some hiking to get to. Aside from that, it's just an ordinary small Italian town with nothing special to show for.

Ortona has beautiful views on the coastline of Abruzzo, especially from the castle. There is also a nice seaside promenade. Shopping facilities and restaurants are ample, and yet it is not yet pestered with mass tourism, but offers the traveller an opportunity to enjoy real Italy.

The drive along the coast around Ortona is stunningly beautiful. Its beautiful blue sea and golden sands are so lovely. The sea itself is shallow and great for bathing and small children. Seafood is good and plentiful and the restaurants on the coast and in the town of Ortona itself are varied and good value. We always stop at Ortona on our way down the Via Adriatica on our way south to visit family in Puglia. Of course the Trabochi (wooden fishing platforms on stilts) are something to see and visit.

The town has tons of history.
The town has tons of history. I visited the Battle of Ortona museum and was very moved. I tried to find the local bus that would go near the Canadian military cemetery but someone offered me a ride. I caught the bus back.
Big comfortable apartment with 3 bedrooms with 2 double beds and one wide single.
We had snacks (sweets that were arranged by the owner before our arrival) and coffee (capsule machine) for breakfast.
Parking space. Calm. Huge kitchen area.
Comfortable access by car to go around. 20 minutes walking to Ortona center.
Very good communication with the owner.
It was not too cold the days we were ther but the heating is definitely well orginized in the apartment.
In general a new and well treated apartment.
I was accommodated in a suite with a large double and single bed. The large bed was extremely comfortable. The room was spacious and very clean. The property is very quiet and located within walking distance of many great restaurants and shopping. Parking spots were easy to find within 100 meters. I didn't use it, but there was a medium sized flat screen, small refrigerator and AC in the room. My stay was uneventful, pleasant and I would definitely recommend and re-book if I was to return to Ortona.
The apartment is very clean, spacious and modern, with a large balcony. It is ideal for two couples. The owner, Giorgia, is very helpful and welcoming. The location is central to the town, with nearby supermarket and several good, friendly restaurants. The coastal cycle and running path, Costa dei Trabocchi, is less than a km away and quite brilliant, whilst Ortona is a great base to explore the Abruzzo region.
Great location, comfortable rooms, friendly hosts, and amazing food! Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic, some of the best seafood we have had during our several years in Italy. The salt-crusted sea bass and carbonara al mare con bottarga were especially delicious. Would definitely stay here again!
what a wonderful place to stay! and the beautiful family that own the hotel make your stay even more enjoyable. thank you so much for looking after us and treating us like family! when we return to Italy we would love to come and stay with you again.
thank you from Tommy and Carla
This hotel was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. The location was convenient to downtown Ortona - everything was walkable. It was great that there was a parking garage, and the breakfast was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The apartment is well appointed and stocked. The hosts were very gracious and walked us through all the do’s and don’ts. It has a very homey feel to it. The location was good with an easy walking distance to the center of Ortona.
This was a very good place to overnight. Luisa recommended a local restaurant where we had our best meal in 10 days in Italy! Her place is very clean and well organized
The environment of the room is very nice, calm and beautiful. The position of the room in Ortona is quite nice, very close to the parking and to the sea
