This hotel was amazing. Small, welcoming, personal and very well thought out. The staff was helpful at every turn, greeting us each day asking what coffee or tea they could make us. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. Dinner was excellent as well and it was so nice being able to eat right there in the hotel. They also made me the best Aperol Spritz I had during our entire 3 weeks in Italy. It was perfect to have sitting on our balcony enjoying the view! Additionally, just down the road is a mini-mart where you can buy bus tickets and other food items to enjoy. There was a nice fridge in the room to store drinks. It was perfect.

People. Reliable. Beauty. Removed. How the took care of us. We, collectively, all ask the same repetitive When/What/How type questions and everyone seemed genuinely in tune with this give & take. The raisin filled tiny pastries

We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the sea and a direct view of Positano. The hotel restaurant is highly rated, and the food is amazing. The daily breakfast buffet offers a good variety. Most importantly, the staff, Rosa and Edwardo, were amazing! They met us upon arrival, assisted with bags, coordinated water taxi transportation, and offered wonderful, authentic local recommendations. The staff was kind and caring and made us feel so special! You will not be disappointed staying here!!

We love Priania we have been there several times and it never disappoints. It’s a small town but everything you need is there the bus service to Positano and Amalfi is very handy. We were disappointed that the ferries weren’t operating yet so we didn’t get to Capri but all the more reason to come back again.

There's not a lot to do in Praiano itself but it's a great place to stay for day trips to Positano and Amalfi with frequent buses stopping in the village. It was good to be away from the crowds in the evenings and whilst small the choice and standard of restaurants was good

Buses to and from neighbouring Amalfi and positano are cheap but don't necessarily arrive on time !! Tickets must be purchased in advance at little shops. The locals are very friendly and happy to point you in the right direction and if you need help with the steep stairs take the little local
Bus for one euro that runs exactly in time and to listen to the locals is a joy. Such a community feel and a great feel good boost !!

The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite.
The Sentieri degli Dei was my favorite. We walked from Praiano to Positano and had lunch in Nochelle. The walk up the to the church and the views were wonderful. The little town on the hillside was clean and bright and wonderful for anyone who does not mind walking up and down many steps. I would recommend that future travellers not spend much time in either Positano or Amalfi. Both were crowded and very touristy.

A great value to stay as "home base".
A great value to stay as "home base". We did day trips to Positano and Amalfi each day via water taxi. The bus would have been much more economical but we wanted to see each town from the water and the taxis provided a mini tour of the coast with each trip. We did want to take the city bus to the beach on a Sunday AM, but after waiting about 20 minutes it passed our stop by b/c it was packed full. We decided to do the 30 minute walk to Il Gavitella beach and discovered some nice small shops and the San Gennaro church.
The town itself has great restaurant options including Il Pirata, Franchino and La Moressa.

Praiano is beautiful and definitely has more of a residential/local vibe as compared to the more touristy towns along the Amalfi Coast. We stayed here, as it is conveniently situated between Positano and Amalfi, and you can take the bus from town to town. The accommodation options in Praiano were also slightly cheaper than some of the other towns along the coast. Although Praiano is beautiful and great for a day trip, I would not likely stay here again, as there is not much nightlife and we found ourselves commuting to Positano and Amalfi quite a lot.
First of all, location! Beachfront, great restaurant, and hotel room was very new and comfortable. Praiano was definitely a highlight on our trip to Italy. Not only is the restaurant at the hotel amazing, but there were 5 other restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed a water taxi to Positano for a day trip (which was great- but we were thrilled we made the decision to stay in Praiano over Positano). Breakfast was great, staff were so friendly, and the view was simply the best. We will be back for sure, hopefully sooner than later!
The hotel Alfonso was great! The staff were very friendly, the rooms were nice, the food for breakfast had a lot of variety. They also offered you a discounted price for the sun loungers on the beach which is great. The only thing I could fault is the location… There was a bus stop not far from the hotel. But if you come to Praiano to go to the beach and relax, the locations perfect how ever if you want to go into the main part of Praiano it’s quite a big walk uphill if you don’t take the bus.
Immaculately clean, beautiful hotel, very kind staff, and incredibly helpful. More than what you need and the location was great for us. Local transportation or buses and taxes are readily available (buses much cheaper and take you all the way to Positano) and walking distance to local piazza, church, mini market, and restaurants. If you want to get to the Praiano center, it’s about a 20-25 min walk down/uphill but with a scooter or car, it’s like 5-10.
The property was nestled into the beautiful coastline of Amalfi, in the quaint town of Praino. The hotel staff made us feel so welcome from the moment we got there until the moment we left. They went out of their way to make doing and going places easy for us. The bar and restaurant and the view were outstanding. The rooms were comfortable, clean and uniquely decorated and showers and bathtub the best we had in Italy.
we absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Onda Verde! The facilities were impeccably clean, staff very friendly and helpful, restaurant was excellent and delicious. Our best meal in in Italy. Wewere able to take a water taxi to Positano, arranged easily by the front desk and also booked a semi-private day trip to Capri, highly recommend! If we return to Amalfi coast we will definitely stay at Onda Verde again
This boutique hotel is the perfect place to stay in Praiano. Its rooms have a beautiful view to the ocean, the staff are wonderful, helpful and extremely welcoming! Breakfast was delicious and generous. It’s 10 minutes away from a beach, you have 3 nearby restaurants and a bus stop right outside the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. We loved staying at Hotel Holiday and would definitely come back!
The rooftop view was absolutely breathtaking! The breakfast was lovely. The hotel lies right in front of a bus stop that takes you to the neighboring towns (Positano and Amalfi). The location is very convenient and the room was clean with a balcony and beautiful view. I would recommend to all of my friends planning to travel to the south coast of Italy.
Excellent staff, very welcoming and accommodating. Hotel offered us a beer and wine on arrival, and showed us the breakfast area with access to clean drinking water (still and sparkling) 24 hours a day.
The room itself is excellent, we loved the private balcony area, and enjoyed the skylights in the room.
Perfect place to stay in Praiano.
-Roberto provided his WhatsApp details and helped arrange every aspect of our stay (restaurant reservations, transportation, etc… this was better service than any 5* hotel we’ve stayed at. FYI fun golf cart taxi to positano was 30 euros, car to Naples airport was 110 euros)
-super clean
-amazing view
-gigantic terrace with outdoor shower.
We had a large deck with room for 2 loungers and table and chairs
The view was stunning and hotel situated partly in lemon grove
We enjoyed the romantic back ground music played in afternoon and evenings
The room was Italian 60’s era
Praiano is a good place to stay as it is much smaller and less touristy than Amalfi or Positano
luxury in keeping with its surroundings. really well run hotel with exception staff . really good breakfast and the best coffee I had all week. the children loved the swimming pool. Giulio really looks after the place really well. All the other guests were really nice also. we were really lucky to find such a beautiful place
Magical, this place is spectacular. The view is insanely beautiful and the private beach is amazing. Two pools and both have the best views. The restaurant is delicious and everything is amazing here as everywhere you look is another stunning view. Close drive to Positano as well.
Nice little hotel on the narrow roadside, very helpful, kind receptionists, spectacular view, the best swimming pool of the area. The cosy rocky beach down there is must visit, however 458 steps down and up :)
Amazing Praiano, amazing place, nice breakfast and food, good stuff helpful, very beautiful view and hotel. The location is great in the middle of everything, in Italy you need to walk so it’s good place.
Incredible views, comfortable room with everything we needed, and the best breakfast we had in Italy. Perfect location out of the hustle and bustle of the rest of Amalfi Coast. Highly recommend.
View is breathtaking, breakfast is mainly sweet options but that was the case in most places in Italy. There aren’t many places to eat in the area so you need to rent a scooter.
The views from the hotel were so beautiful and Praiano was exactly what I needed, quiet and peaceful.
All the hotel staff were lovely and helpful, it was a great stay.
Praiano is a real jewel on The Amalfi Coast. Hotel Bellavista has views to die for, friendly staff who really looked after us, good food all in a great location.
