Genarro, was very accommodating and attentive. We arrived late at the train station and had trouble with google maps locating his place. He met us at the train station and we were able to walk to his place. Great location and quiet.

Posizione ottima e centrale tra Positano e Sorrento
It was a great place to stay for us. Quieter than Sorrento, with really good local restaurants and great access to bus and train.
The wider area was very busy at the time of our stay and I’d avoid early-mid September in future.
But Piano is a great place to stay for visiting other parts of Sorrento peninsula.

The public beach is one of the better ones on the peninsula...
The public beach is one of the better ones on the peninsula and not as croweded as the ones in Meta or in Sorrent, but lacks most facilities (no public showers, like in Spain or Portugal), yet offer impressive views. The Lido(Bagnia Tina) is also good, except for the loud music. Sadly, but typical fo the region, the city is not very walkable, due to the lack of pedestrian paths, except for the main alles connecting the train Station with the beach.
Ideal point if you want a beautiful landscape(Lemon plantations!) and affordable Restaurants(compared to Sorrent ~20 percent less, although there is not that much variety in Piano itself , mostly Pizza places)
Piano is a convenient location for day trips to Capri(Laser Capri offers great prices down in the harbour of Piano), the Amalfi coast and Pompeji&Herculaneum. The Airport is easily reached with the Cuerri Viaggio Transfer Service (extremly cheap but comfortable).
There are two super markets close to the shore and a small "strip mall" close to the train station&Corso Italiano and a pharmacy.

Piano do Sorento Is a small town just outside of Sorrento (...
Piano do Sorento Is a small town just outside of Sorrento (20 mins away by train). Piano di Sorento is accessible by train from Naples. The beach is a short walk from the main town and is accessible by a lift at certain times of the day for a small fee, or walking via a large steep road. There is a selection of restaurants and bars in the town which the local residents frequent and we enjoyed delicious food and wine here too, in particular the restaurant Osteria Palazzo Maresca, where the food and service was outstanding. Not all the people here are friendly and do not appear to like foreigners so be aware of this. Also the roads are busy and drivers of cars and scooters will not stop for you even at designated a crossings. It is helpful to learn some Italian words and phrases as not all the local people will speak basic English if any at all. I would recommend visiting the next town of Sant’Agnello as it is very beautiful and peaceful.

It really is the quieter option of the Amalfi coast and just as lovely as it's more touristy cousins. There is a great market on Mondays selling fruit and vegetables, olives and cheeses and breads to all sorts of clothing, shoes and house hold goods.
There are also a couple of beaches and waterside restaurants. Few were open on the Monday but the one we found in town was just perfect.
St Michael the archangel basilica was also very beautiful and had really interesting doors. The villa that is now a museum was also a nice place to go for an evening stroll overlooking the Marina and sea.

It was a lovely little area but be prepared for a lot of walking or using the local train to get to Sorrento town or other nearby places. Favorite restaurants were L'Approdo, Osteria Estoria, and Fracatell.

Beautiful apartment with everything you’ll need for your stay. The showers were hot, the balcony was a nice place to eat breakfast, and we appreciated having the washing machine. It’s a big apartment!
Felice was very attentive and communicative via WhatsApp.
Piano di Sorrento is a quieter town 2 train stops away from Sorrento, it was easy once we figured out the transport and also nice to have a cheaper place to eat dinners. We used this as our home base for day trips to Caprì, Pompeii, Sorrento, and Amalfi.
Would 100% recommend!
Emilia was a wonderful host and was really great to deal with. The room was extremely spacious and very clean with a nice outdoor space. Breakfast was available every day and we were able to sit outside on a pretty patio. The part of Sorrento where this hotel is located is two quick train stops from the downtown. We enjoyed the fact that it is removed from the really congested part of Sorrento and provided a quiet, relaxed resting place after busy days of site seeing. The restaurant on property is outstanding and the staff was great!
We had the pleasure of staying at the Caluga house in April. The hotel's location is very central, a 5-6 mins walk to the train station and a few mins walk to the beach. The hotel was very clean with an aesthetically pleasing environment and decor. The wifi works brilliantly. The room had a great view of the garden. The host was very hospitable and supportive, she even offered us fresh oranges from the garden. Overall, we felt great during our stay and we hope to come back to Caluga House again sometime in the future.
The comfort and tranquility of the Maresca are exceptional. I did read the reviews before choosing this place for one day stay at Piano, and the place was more than I expected.
The room was spacious, with big comfy bed, and then there was the garden with lemon, cedro and orange trees, and birds thinking, and the family running the hotel treat with so much care. It made my stay very special. And yes, as every review mention, the breakfast amazing, I would give it 11 out of 10.
Lovely apartment in a peaceful location, away from the chaos of Sorrento. Fully equipped with everything you could need. We were especially grateful to have use of the washing machine.
The recommendations for local restaurants were spot on, the pizzas at Cupano by the marina we a particular highlight.
Thank you to Alessia & Fabio for being so welcoming and your homemade Limoncello was delicious!
We would definitely use your apartment again if we return to the area.
The staff has been very nice and understanding of the situation. They handled the whole check-in and check-out without a hassle.
The way down to the beach is nearby, which is great if you like to have a swim and there are nice food places nearby. While the city center and train station are a little bit further, everything you need is well within walkable distance.
The bed was very comfy and you'll be provided with plenty of pillows!
The room No.2 has a balcony with fish port view. When we arrive it was the sunset hours so stunning! And there’s a beach right next to the hotel, also ferry to Capri. I can imagine if walking to the hotel could be a bit far from public transport specially with luggage, but we rent a Vespa make our stay 100% perfect! Even have scooter parking right in front of our room! Can’t ask anything more! We love it so much!
It was bright and clean with good bathroom facilities. The location was very convenient for restaurants and shops in Piano di Sorrento; also, very close to a bus stop for the 6-8 minute ride to Sorrento station. The aircon worked very well as did the TV. Also had a well-working fridge. I would give a higher rating if they fixed the lights in the elevator.
Francesco was exceptional!! he helped us with information around sorrento and got us all comfortable in our room!! answered all our questions and was so professional and helpful! excellent customer service
all the staff was really nice too
the breakfast was great fresh croissants and coffee n fruit n nice lady
clean and modern hotel! would come back
Very attentive and friendly staff. Extremely clean hotel/room. Safe spot with private parking for $10 per day or meter parking in front of hotel. Awesome food market & amazing restaurant across the street. I would definitely rebook. Love Sorrento and hotel is close to the main center and ferry dock to Capri!
The place was clean, spacious and the host was lovely. She helped in any way possible and also recommended things to do. The accomodation was well situated with good restaurants nearby as well as the train station. Would stay here again!
Great value for money with a really sweet owner. She picked us up from train station when we couldn't find the bus stop and provided us with all the necessary information to travel from piano di Sorrento to positano/amalfi ❤️
Photos same as in person. Host was readily available to answer phone calls and messages. Also provided us with food and supermarket recommendations. Big room, clean and even have kitchen to cook.
very good hotel, clean, good breakfast, location is best, bus stop is front off it, positano is 20 minutes by bus. near is very good restaurant, markets, you can buy sita bus tikets near hotel.
Quiet location but near enough to walk to a few local restaurants and had good transport links into Sorrento via train (just 2 stops) and then bus services to Positano & Amalfi.
Excellent location. Quite.lifts to the sea.near supermarket. Stunning view.no transportation you have to walk alot. Most of breakfast is sweet things no eggs or sausage
the location of this hotel is perfect. two train stops away from downtown Sorrento so it’s quiet and relaxed.
the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating.
Lovely, small hotel with a good breakfast and staff. Near train station and beach. Only few tourists and lovely restaurants nearby. The location was perfect.
