Peak season will definitely make this town more lively with more shops open. We came during early April, and the beaches are empty (which could be great if you prefer to keep the beach to yourself). The drive around the island is interesting as most roads are narrow with hills. Recommend to go with the full insurance option if it's not expensive as precocious. There are water taxi options to transport to another beaches, and I recommend that over driving if driving is not your forte, and you want to party.

It is not on the main street of Mykonos so I had to walk always to get to the downtown but it took only 10 min and it gave me really calm and silent nights.
