Hotel Bruman Salerno, hotel in Salerno

Located in Salerno, Hotel Bruman offers free WiFi throughout and rooms with air conditioning and a satellite flat-screen TV. Vietri sul Mare can be reached in 10 minutes by car.

The hotel exceeded my expectation: located literally right by the train station, minutes of walk to the ferry to the Amalfi Coast, rooms are very spacious, well maintained and spotless clean (can walk barefoot on the floor type of clean!), free breakfast is decent and very friendly staff (big thanks to Filomina who gave me the most beautifully displayed platter when I asked for a kettle to make tea, and Marika who made extra ham when I was almost late for breakfast). The only minor downside is that it doesn't have a lift so if you have luggage, better ask for a ground floor room although even female staff will offer to help you (thanks again Filomina).

Lovely big town with an old town, cobbled streets and lots...

Lovely big town with an old town, cobbled streets and lots of restaurants and bars. There is a large area of restricted traffic and parking is horrendous, even though it was April every single space along the streets and public car parks were taken. Luckily our apartment owner suggested she book us a space in a private garage and although it cost €25 per night it was well worth it. The port was within walking distance and we took a ferry to Amalfi Coast. Don’t even think about driving along the Amalfi coast as the traffic was horrendous and absolutely nowhere to park. A very busy over crowded coastline.

Lovely Lungomare with views of the mountains of the Sorrento...

Lovely Lungomare with views of the mountains of the Sorrento penisular. Railway station (from where you can travel to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum, Naples and many other places - local and further afield e.g. Rome or further south). Many buses operating all over the Salerno area and Amalfi Coast. Ferry terminal for travelling to Amalfi Coast towns and Capri. Old Town with narrow streets thronging with shops, places to eat and drink. The Duomo with its magnificent Crypt, Villa Comunale park with the turtles, Castle Arrechi - a steep climb but a great castle and fabulous views. Not a place for a beach holiday but I'd definitely recommend Salerno for exploring the Amalfi coast, Naples, Pompeii and the surrounding area without breaking the bank!

    Great experience.

Great experience. Town small enough to walk easily to interesting sites. Lovely old town. Close to Pompeii and Amalfi without being a major tourist hub. Staff of Burger at greated us on the street the next day. Great personal service. The Grand Hotel was excellent. Great location near the train station and friendly helpfull staff.

1 day in Salerno was too long.

1 day in Salerno was too long. There were a lot of homeless and sketchy people. It was like the Newark of Italy...filthy. It didn't even feel like we were in Italy until we got to the old part of town. But, we didn't feel safe here either.

Wonderful! The room was beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable! Host was so kind and welcoming. The room was big and felt like a suite. We were thankful for the air conditioner as it was so hot outside! The traditional Italian breakfast displayed in the dining room was a very nice touch. The vibe here is true to the buildings' history; quiet, relaxing old world Italian villa.Just what we wanted while visiting Italy for the first time. Also, it was easy to find from the train station and just steps away from shopping and restraunts.

Spacious , clean , easy access , safe , good value for money , everything you need is in there , feels like you’re in your own holiday home . Better than a hotel and the host is brilliant, helpful , accommodating. She even recommended best restaurant and places to visit locally around Salerno . Salerno is underrated part of amalfi coast . We highly recommend staying in Salerno as your base going around amalfi coast and can come back to rest in a lovely place like Gaia14 . You won’t regret it .

Great place, great host. Very central in Salerno. All great eating places are 5-10 minutes walking. The seafront is 3 minutes walking. The port to take ferrys is 15 min. So location is super! Very quite rooms. Super comfortable beds. Clean. Nice bathroom. Best part is they have AC and an elevator! Which most places in Italy don't. So it was great. Host was really helpful for suggesting places to eat, booking a taxi etc. Was really safe for single women alone.

Front desk staff and breakfast staff so friendly and went out of their way to help us with a ferry to Amalfi. Location of the hotel is perfect. It is very safe, located on a walking plaza filled with shopping, restaurants, cafe's, etc. It is across from the train station which was ideal for getting back to Rome to fly home. Ferries to the Amalfi coast were easily accessible and a few minute walk. I would much rather stay in Salerno than fighting the crowds and cost of the Amalfi coast. Breakfast was excellent.

Thank you for making my stay an enjoyable experience! The staff were amazing and easy to reach via whatsapp. This hotel was very clean and spacious. The location is perfect, it took me a five minute walk to get to the beach front. I would definitely stay here again. I read a few reviews regarding the slow internet but my experience was very positive. The internet was fast and the connection was strong.

We absolutely loved Salerno! The accommodation was ideally located to catch trains, taxis, the ferry as well as to access one of the main shopping and eating districts. We were delighted to take part in the nightly passegiata, found our favorite place for cappuccino and cornetto each morning. This lovely town is a place I would go back to, and the communication for accessing the unit was very good.

The hotel is located in a pedestrian street in the center of Salerno, a 10-minute walk from the train station, 10 minutes from the cathedral and 5 minutes from the coast. Lot of shops around. I had a room with a terrace and there was a kettle with tea and coffee. The room was clean and tidy. There is a bidet in the bathroom. The breakfast was good.

The perfect location, the property is a couple streets away from the train station and just a short walk to Molo Concordia/Port of Salerno. The room was tidy, hotel-like in its presentation - simple, clean and ample storage. There are a few dining options on the ground floor, the restaurant and bar were quite busy. All round, a winner in Salerno!
