Our room was clean every day. The bathrooms in the entire hotel were very, very clean. Breakfast was also good. The staff, especially the young guy the reception desk was wonderful and very helpful. All the guys at Breakfast were polite and welcoming. The beds are comfortable. A taxi from the plaza was only 7.80 soles with Uber, about 2 dollars. The pressure of the water at the bathroom was the best in all hotels. I stayed for seven nights and will stay again.

Although it's considered the oldest inhabited city of the Americas and Peru's historical capital, neither of these truly describes the magic enchantment and colorful people of Cuzco. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, its current shape is the colonial result of building on top of many Incan sites, a good example of which is the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.
Must-see places include the walled complex of Sacsayhuamán and the remains of the main temple of Coricancha, dedicated to the Sun God, Inti. For longer Cuzco stays, hotels nePlaza de Armas central square are ideal to fully enjoy the city. Due to its 11,150-foot altitude, some Cuzco hotels offer oxygen to help their guests.
Moray, supposedly an ancient experimental agricultural station, is 29 miles away, and Lake Titicaca is 240 miles away. The road to Machu Picchu is the famous Inca Trail or "Camino Inca," which encompasses settlements, different Andean environments, and many Incan ruins.

Getting around Cusco was easy.
Getting around Cusco was easy. We are walkers and we love to see the typical markets and amazing museums. Its people are friendly and helpful. Any question was answered when we just ask anyone around. Restaurants? Mother of God! Delicious, too many options to choose from. From simple restaurants to fancy ones and the best: beautiful women in the street with cooked corn and pineapple slices to sale.

Cusco is one of my favorite cities in Peru.
Cusco is one of my favorite cities in Peru. It is a photographers dream, almost every you look there is a chance to take a wonderful travel photo while walking around, the old city is an absolute joy. No mater how long I have stayed in Cusco it has been too short and I always want to return to see things I have missed. However, it is a good idea to book a hotel which offers heat in the rooms as it can get rather chilly at night in the cold season.

It´s one of the most beatiful cities I've visited. I love the landscape view, people is very kind and it has a lot of activities to do. I stay in Cusco a very short time, but I enjoy it as much as I could. I visited San Blas viewpoint, the Church and Rainbow Mountain, but my favorite place without no doubt was Machu Picchu.

I've been to Cusco several times over the past 25 years and...
I've been to Cusco several times over the past 25 years and also lived here for longer periods and for work. It's always been a hub as there is so much to see and do in and around town. Plan a week there, and you won't be bored. It's a buzzing place, there is such an abundance to choose from (tours, trips, hikes, walks, ruins, accommodation, markets, souvenirs and of course destinations like Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail), it's almost too much. You can do parties and clubs, or enjoy the quiet places, walk the ruins up the hills in nature with stunning views of high cordilleras the beautiful Andean scenery and enjoy the peacefulness in the company of some lamas and alpacas. I found that post-Covid the locals are still struggling with the lack of tourism. Nowadays the markets are better organised and have mainly been moved to indoor facilities over the past decades, tourists often don't know about them, e.g. in Pisac, and the locals suffer from few clients and low business. The regulations around Machu Picchu are ridiculous and overpriced; while it's good some rules are in place to deal with the amount of tourism, it has taken all the joy out of visiting the ruins. There are plenty of equally great alternatives though, if you find MP too expensive, don't want to plan half a year in advance or simply don't enjoy the crowds, go to Pisac instead, walk the full hike, or Choquequirao if you want a multi-day experience. For long timei travellers: if you have time, you can easily stay here for a month exploring the Valle Sagrado, get fit in the altitude, learn about local crafts, food, culture, history, Spanish etc.. After a while, it always feels healthy to leave Cusco again. Safe travels!
Huge and interesting room overlooking the garden and a fantastic view of the city and the iconic "Viva Peru" sign on the hill. Set in the boho San Blas area, you can reach the hotel with bags via taxi and easily walk to and from the city within minutes whilst enjoying the independent shops, restaurants, bars and cafe's. The hotel is in a quiet and safe area (I found the whole city a safe place). The breakfast is a continental buffet that has cereal, eggs, ham, fruit, pancakes and excellent coffee.
This hostel was great! We booked a private room and it was the standard of a good hotel but with all of the fun and social life of the hostel.
The activities were a great way to meet people and find things to do in Cusco. The food was also really delicious and reasonably priced along with the drinks.
The location was very central and easy short walk to the main plaza. The hostel felt very safe with security on the door at all times.
A must stay!
The hotel is very modern. Well equipped. The room was nice and even had a bathtub. The heater really helped me during cold nights. The breakfasts they serve are the best ones I had through all my trip in Peru and Bolivia. Really, really good. The location it's good. Walking distance to the center but not in a crowded area. The windows look inside the inner patio so it's not noisy. Rooms have good sound isolation. I couldn't here my neighbors.
The locations is excellent, close to the nice area of San Blas. The rooms are very comfortable and views from the restaurant are stunning. However, the absolute best thing about the hotel was the owner, Daniel. He went out of his way to help us with many things during our trip, he also helped us plan different excursions around Cusco. His kind personality and helpfulness definitely made our stay in Cusco memorable and very smooth.
Amazing location in San Blas, walking distance to the best of Cusco! The outdoor patio space was perfect for a cozy tea at night. The rustic vibe of the hotel was very clean, chic and comfortable. The turndown service with hot water bottles and fresh tea was a highlight for the chilly evenings! The breakfast menu and buffet was wonderful with lots of variety, fresh fruit, and coffee! The staff were attentive and helpful.
Large room with furniture to unpack your things and a bedside table with lamp. Christian is very friendly and helpful and stored our luggage while we did the Choquequirao trek. There's a kettle for making tea and coffee during the day. The laundry service was good and very reasonably priced. The hotel is located in San Blas, a great part of Cusco, on a pretty street with lots of good restaurants nearby.
Hotel and staff were absolutely perfect great location and bed very comfortable . Special thanks to Angel who did everything he possibly could to make my stay enjoyable .. only 1 little thing and I mean little some mornings there was no meat option on breakfast but that's really been picky. I intend to return again to cousco and will definitely stay here again for me 5 star 🌟
The hotel is beautiful and in an excellent spot located in the more quiet San Blas neighborhood. All of the staff members are very friendly and help in any way they can. We stayed a total of 7 nights and they were willing to store our luggage for free while we visited Machu Picchu. I can't recommend this hotel enough!
Beautiful hotel and great neighborhood! San Blas has picturesque streets, amazing coffee shops with great views, and cute little boutiques, but be prepared for many hills and steps (like most of Cusco)! Good breakfast, super clean rooms, and nice staff-- the bell hop was so kind and friendly!
The included breakfast (fruits, bread with jam, and eggs) was fantastic. The hotel is perfectly located at the base of San Blas neighborhood and one block from the main plaza. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and price was reasonable. Would recommend to anyone staying in Cusco!
It was the best hotel during our whole trip in Peru. The rooms were very modern and spacious, with exceptional cleanliness. The hotel's location was perfect, and the staff even offered to prepare breakfast boxes for our early tour departures, which were arranged accordingly.
The best way how to explore the city. The owners were really helpfull and kind. We had so many specials wishes and nothing wasnt a problem. I can highly recommend Estancia San Blas. We will recommend to our friends and everyone who we will meet to use this hotel. 5 stars
This was a 5 star hotel under a 3 star rating. The rooms were stunning and with the Inca walls I felt it was an added star or 2. The location was right in the center square and the room was a great size. They had a bath also so a good soak was welcomed.
The reception Luis and his partners are really friendly and helpful. The location of hotel is really great. it is only 2 blocks, 100m to Wanchaq station, if you choose Perurail and its Bimodal Service from Cusco. It is the perfect location.
Amazing location, wonderful breakfast, peaceful atmosphere. We booked this hotel after a bad experience during the first nights of our stay in Cusco. We regreted not booking Quinta San Blas from the start
Staff were amazing, and extremely helpful. Also, the views from the hotel in San Blas were incredible too. Lovely rooms with wonderful views and openable windows for fresh air at super high altitudes.
Lovely small hotel in San Blas right in the heart of the historic centre of Cusco.
Great room with an absolutely excellent shower! Great breakfast too and the staff were really friendly and helpful!
