PA is a gated community requiring showing ID every time you enter. It is boating/yatching community predominantly consisting of condominiums. Numerous restaurants and gift shops around the central dolphin lagoon area as well as two money exchanges. Central golf club and some tennis courts. Limited public beach access.

I'm not sure if Puerto Adventuras is a real town or just plays one on tv. Outside of the hotel, there are cafes and restaurants and a marina, but everything is only reachable by first entering the "town" through a gate which gave it a weird exclusive vibe. Great Italian cafe with real espresso and fresh basked pastries and bread, and a couple of restaurants. A kitchy bar with an Elvis impersonator, which was a lot of fun. Sadly, a dolphin pen is on-site as well. Kids playing, and scootering everyhwhere, so this seems a really safe spot for families.

The fact that the resort is in a gated community was fun to venture out during the day. We walked to the dolphin area and window-shopped at the market. Some of the souvenirs were more expensive than the airport. I know there is a supermarket not far that would probably have better prices pending on what you are looking for. People were friendly and we felt safe walking to and from the resort down to the marina. Golf carts were available for rent but we didn't see a need.

The restaurant area around the dolphin enclosure is nice.
The restaurant area around the dolphin enclosure is nice. Not a good beach destination if you like the ocean close by. You have to walk a lot to get to the beach, unless you are on one of the ocean-front hotels.
This is a gated community with several gated communities inside.

It does not feel like you're in Mexico at all, but rather somewhere in Florida. The worst of it all, when you go out in the Marina at night to have dinner and listen to concerts ... There are dolphins trapped in a pool in the middle of it who after have swam all day with tourists have to bear with the noise they are making at night leaving them no chance to properly rest, it's a shame in 2023!

The location was perfect, 5 to 10 minute walk to everything that you will need. Interesting layout, it looks like it was 3 hotel room converted to a condo. Entry level there is one room with double beds and a bathroom (shower) with washer and dryer. Second level has one room as the kitchen and living area and a bathroom (bathtub/shower). The second room is a king bedroom with it's own bathroom (shower). Every room has a balcony. Keypad entry system. Communication with owner was very good and fast response.
I loved everything about this location and my hosts.
A complete studio apartment and felt like home on arrival.
I had a couple of unusual requests and Sonia was amazing in helping grant my wishes.
The pool outside was quiet and just the right size to take a dip.
I met others staying at the Picalu Studios and felt a wonderful warmth over the facilities.
Walking distance to shops and food was perfect.
This is my new get away to Mexico.
A Real feel of Mexico and the wonderful people there.
We looooved the Condo Size, the Host Carlos, it was clean, had Airconditioner in living room AND bedroom. Everything was clean and tidy and nice looking. Facilities were all working, massive fridge. Shops not too far away. We totally loved the location (next to Golf course), in a safe and complex (controlled gate at the entrance to Puerto Aventuras Village). The large pool was the highlight, especially for the kids but also myself. It was quiet and peaceful. Response from host, prompt and very helpful.
The entertainment staff is so much fun. They knew us by name and became friends over our trip. Taught people salsa dancing, got us playing basketball with other guests in the pool. Tons of fun. The room was a true Oasis with a modern beach decor. Cruz our housekeeper kept it immaculately clean. The Moana show was so impressive. The actors/dancers are highly skilled and the choreography was very well done. Hotel well located for day trips to cenotes 4 km away. Super happy with our stay.
I really loved our stay in Mom's House. Mary Jo made us feel extremely comfortable and safe. It is like staying at your friend's place. Mary Jo is a very friendly and gentle person. She also has a catering company so her cupcakes and fresh bread every morning were so tasty. She has two cuddly and friendly who absolutely love your stroking. I would recommend everyone to stay with Mary Jo in Mom's house if you need place to stay in Puerto Aventuras. Thank you so much for your hospitality
This place was just perfect for our needs. It is a beautiful place. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. The location is great as just a few steps from the entrance is a row of restaurants and shops along a walkway that is across from a dolphin park. The hotel's beach and swimming pool are also wonderful. It was a perfect getaway for us.
The hotel is very nice and Cosy. It is totally worth to buy a priviliged room It comes with a lot of advantages.
The a la carte restaurants are very tasty and variable.
The coctails are good quaility you can taste many different tequila and meczal.
The staff is really nice and helpful and the daily cleaning is amazingly thorough.
The view is great, ocean view; however, there is no beach access from the property...all the beaches around are private property or hotels' property...the closest public beach with white sand is a 20 min walk by the Marina, so if you want to enjoy the classic Riviera Maya white sand beaches - you need to walk or drive to Marina.
The hotel has been recently renovated and was beautifully decorated. The room was stunning with a huge bed and stunning beach views. We decided to take up the offer of a room upgrade emailed to us a few days beforehand. The pool was lovely, the staff very attentive, and the food and drinks were excellent!
Hotel is located in the dead end street in expat town. Ritch and clean comunity. Hotel faces marina has a natural and small regular pools. Wafle house down stairs for breakfast. Beach is basically accross the street. Dolphins in the central square was super exciting for kids. Good value over all.
The location of the hotel is really the best and main thing: beach front, clear calm waters, surronding nature and animals; close to the Marina with plenty of food options and groceries
Next I would say the swimming pool, spacious and great to bring a baby along
Very peaceful, modern and beautiful villa.
Only a couple of rooms.
Spacious room with a huge, comfy bed.
Nice bedroom.
A/C works strongly.
There is a well equipped kitchenette.
Agutis come to the garden :)
Puerto Aventuras is gated and safe location.
The Whole stay was really amazing. The Hospitality was simply insane and Chan was always reachable for us. She was really supportive and we can highly recommend this accommodation. It was the best part of our Journey threw Mexico.
A hidden jem: the french restaurant. Umo also great; avoid Zen. The staff is wonderful. I find the "Heaven" section far more interesting than the "Hacienda" section where I stayed. Definitely will get back to the hotel.
Perfect location. Beautiful views. Peaceful - perfect to rest and recharge. Puerto aventuras is such a sweet little safe haven. Got an upgrade to a stunning 2 bed apartment which was amazing. I could have lived there.
