Property is dated but historic. An insanely delicious restaurant on side. The staff were phenomenal. No parking on site but there is free street parking roughly 2 min walk away
Located in the Tuscan countryside, just outside Montopoli in Val d'Arno, B&B Il Moscondoro is surrounded by medieval villages. It provides cozy rooms, some with a fireplace.

The appartment is in a quiet, dead end street with private parking in a well protected area right next to the stairs to the apartment.
The place is very clean with a well equipped kitchen. Extra bed linens and towels are provided as well as shampoo, soap and cleaning supplies of all sorts.
The AC is a life saver for those extra hot days/nights so you can get a decent sleep.
The mattresses in both bedrooms were very comfortable. The single bed is not very big though. It was perfectly fine for our 13 year old but for an adult it might be a bit small.
Il Gelso features air-conditioned accommodations in Montopoli in Val dʼArno. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are accessible at the farm stay free of charge.

Very nice and welcoming stay, nothing to complain about. Swimming pool and large parking also available, plus the proximity to nature. Amazing host, insisted to welcome us, despite our late arrival. Apartment was also clean and nice.

Montopoli in Val d'Arno is a cute little hillside town, and the perfect place to stay to explore the surrounding areas...There is an amazing steakhouse in the village as well... We stayed here to go to the White Truffle festival in San Miniato, which was brilliant... We also ate in Pontedero at a brilliant Pizza restaurant Grano Vivo, with a very imaginative pizza menu, that didn't disappoint... You cant go wrong staying in this area...We had a lovely time...

Seemed like a sleepy little Italian village and it was a nice break from other places that we were recently in that seemed to be so heavily geared for the tourist trade.
The upper village stretches up and around the edge of a steep little valley with sweeping views off towards Pisa and is just lovely.
We were there on a Wednesday in early May and there were not places open to eat for dinner in town and we had to travel about 10 minutes away to a place.

Lovely small, quiet and relaxed village.
Lovely small, quiet and relaxed village. There isn’t much around other than a nice stroll around to see the beautiful scenery and small town but we appreciated this. Away from the hustle and bustle but in between of Florence (1 hour 10 away) and Pisa (40 mins away).

The hotel was charming with lots of fun little nooks and crannies to hang out and enjoy the view. Our room had a nice little balcony overlooking the valley, and there were orange trees & wisteria in bloom, wafting incredible scents into our room all night. The night we stayed there the restaurant was closed but the hostess made reservations for us at another place that was lovely.
The hotel is under new management and being upgraded. One of the new owners told us we had new mattresses, which were great. Our bathroom was yet to be modernised but was functional. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent restaurant showcasing innovative dishes and a terrace with great Tuscan views for breakfast and dinner. A great stay. We wish the new owners well!
The location was stunning - amazing view. Our room looked out over the valley and was beautiful. The hotel was quaint and quirky with amazing style. The hostess was super helpful and friendly. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was superb! Highly recommend staying here.
Very friendly staff! Excellent introduction to hotel and very warm welcome.
The view from the balcony as well as from the terrace is outstanding.
Rooms in tuscanian style with historical background - we loved it and did a conscious decission for this hotel.
The Hotel is lovely and grand, though a little tired in places...The staff were all marvellous and the restaurant and views are amazing... it was such a lovely find...a big step back in time ....and situated in a pretty town,...
The hotel is adorable with lovely original features and art. The view is spectacular! Big comfortable rooms and the pool was perfect for a quick dip. The restaurant was amazing! The staff were very helpful and friendly too.
