The property is located in a very quiet area, ideal for those who want to escape the chaos of the city but, at the same time, is looking for a strategic base to visit the natural beauty of the provinces of Sondrio, Lecco and Como or nearby Switzerland, with its renowned resorts such as Lugano or St. Moritz (by car or train, as far as Tirano and then taking the Bernina Express Train). Nearby you can rent bicycles and follow the cycle-pedestrian route "Sentiero Valtellina", which runs along the Adda river between Colico and Bormio, for a distance of 114 km. admiring the beautiful terraced vineyards, marked Unesco Heritage. For those who love walking, pleasant walks in the mountains are possible along paths of varying difficulty, to discover a unique territory. Those who want to go to the discovery of ancient villages and ancient noble palaces will not be disappointed by the beauty and uniqueness of some true jewels of art. Valtellina is also a place for gastronomic excellences, which you can enjoy in small trattorias, agritourisms or, for those who prefer it, in gourmet restaurants.
My name is Stefania and I usually take care of welcoming guests, making me useful to help tourists discover the beauties of the Valtellina area and the nearby Lake Como, providing information or advice to those who request it. Numerous tourist brochures, information on means of transport, and lists of local events are provided in the apartment to allow everyone to organize the visit to the places deemed most interesting, according to personal taste. During the stay, guests can enjoy the utmost privacy, with the peace of mind to be able to count on my mobile telephone availability h / 24, for any eventuality or need.
The apartment is located right along the road that leads to Val Lesina, a valley that is almost untouched and almost completely unknown to tourists, which opens up into a large natural amphitheater, with sceneries of unique natural beauty, so much so that right here, you two international canyoning meetings are held. At high altitude, Rifugio Monte Legnone (where you can have lunch during the summer months) is the starting point for the "Gran Via delle Orobie", which is the most important hiking trail in the Parco delle Orobie Valtellinesi. It is a crossing at high altitude (at an average height of 1800 meters above sea level) for a total of 130 kilometers, from Delebio to Aprica, for lovers of trekking on rather demanding routes. Delebio is about 10 minutes drive from Colico, on Lake Como, which can also be reached by train (a stop with local trains on the Milan-Sondrio-Tirano railway line). From Colico boats leave for navigation on the lake. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery and visit places such as Bellagio and Varenna, as well as visit the famous Villa Carlotta, Villa del Balbianello, Villa Melzo, Villa Cipressi and others
