From the villa it is easy to visit the rest of the island. The area of Calheta has the most sun hours of Madeira. At the centre of the village of Fajã da Ovelha there are one small grocery store (10 minutes walk) where you can purchase essential products and 2 restaurants within 20 minutes walk (3 mins drive). From the house, around 10 minutes drive to the nearest fishing villages (Paúl do Mar and Jardim do Mar); Ponta do Pargo is another village further west of the island. Around 20 minutes drive, in the village of Calheta, you find a complete supermarket “Pingo Doce”, a artificial yellow sand beach and the Marina of Calheta. Where you can go for a swim or on a boat trip to watch dolphins and Whales, Bottom fishing or Big game fishing, etc. Around 40 minutes to Funchal and 55 minutes to the Airport.
