It was an absolutely lovely apartment! It is located a bit more uphill instead of right at the beach of the lake, but getting to the lake took only a walk of about 10 minutes! (Uphill is steep though, so keep that in mind) The host was very friendly and very welcoming. He was even so nice as to print out all available ferries and their departing times, as well as the nicest places to visit around the lake. He also lets you know through Whatsapp which trash bags you should take out on which days, very helpful! The apartment is of the smaller kind, but it has everything you need, and most of all: IT HAS AIRCO. THANK THE GODS. Because you're gonna need it if you visit during summer. I would happily return if I ever visit again!

Location is perfect, I love the town. It was a good choice to go for this location instead of the more crowed side of the lake. The apartment was very well equipped, has everything you need and sharp clean. + has a great view.

Our hosts, Mohammed and his wife, Dina are AWESOME!!! We were traveling with 2 small dogs and had A LOT of luggage. We got off at the wrong train station (a 15 minute drive from the house) and Mohammed picked us up!! Then, to top it off, by the time we arrived and got settled the only grocery store in town was closed. Mohammed picked up food and wine and he and his wife dropped it off for us so we could have dinner!! I mean, talk about service!! Location was beautiful and quiet, however you need some mode of transportation to get up the hill. Going down is fine (although steep) but it was so HOT during the last week in August, so walking back up was not an option (especially with the dogs). We rented E-Bikes at the grocery store which was perfect. Awesome view from bedroom window, and the patio was really nice, complete with a tomato plant and flowers. The bed was comfortable (more on the firm side - like a tempurpedicish). We loved Lierna, and I'm so glad I decided not to rent in Bellagio or Varenna which are the "hot spots". We rented a boat at the suggestion of Mohammed (the apartment is stocked with pamphlets for things to do). We went out on Lake Como for 3 hours, after getting sandwiches and fruit at Il Buono (specialty food store in town across from the market). It was perfection!
