The hotel is located amongst other accommodations. It is a good location to places and airport. It is though old room but clean and sufficient. I liked the 'pavillion' style. Unfortunately we did not get to stay in one of the pavillions but in the main builing. But that's fine.

I spent 4 months in NZ and for various reasons and at different times, stayed about 9 nights/days in Christchurch, alone and also with my husband. We loved the vibe of the city. It felt a happy place, offering everything a city has to offer but in an intimate way. It felt safe, clean and it was lovely to see families enjoying the public bbqs and spaces. Lots of greenery and parks. A place that felt traditional yet new. Great places to eat, drink and watch the world go by. Really loved this place and I am not a city person! Riccarton House and gardens was a highlight. There are plenty of places around to explore for day trips too and the second hand bookshops in Ferry Road area are the least expensive I have come across in NZ! Could definitely keep going back there, even just for the hospitality and genuine friendliness of the locals.

A great place that is still slowly recovering, but what has been achieved to date is to their credit. Albeit, there remains many good options for eating out & sightseeing. Take the tram for a quick overview!!

Our visit was shorter than we would of liked but I fully recommend the International Antarctic Centre - children loved it and we could of stayed longer, informational, fun, interactive and lots to do, husky puppy was gorgeous and Matua who greeted us was informative and korero was refreshing. The cafe was great and again even the children found food they liked.
We went to Build-a-Bear to create a keepsake of our trip and that was a fun activity - Mall was open to 9pm so we were able to pop down and not rush.
The Outlet Store for new Crocs - a must for Croc addicted children.
Christchurch Tram Tour - Is a must-do. (We have done this tour previously and were disappointed to not be able to go this visit)
Christchurch Library (Tūranga) - Interactive and fun, friendly people.
We had hired a Campervan to travel in and there was a lot of areas that you could park a Camper so that was great for us to pull over and walk around.
We didn't do as much sightseeing as we would have liked but we have decided to book again for a few more days there as we spent more time in Dunedin then we expected.
We did miss going to Cookie Time as traffic was horrendous so that needs to be planned better for our next time down there.

We only had half a day in Christchurch (arrived at night, then flew out at 5pm next day) but even that was too much time to spend here! I wouldn't want to come back again. There wasn't anything interesting to see or do, apart from the "Quake City" exhibit which was good. Walked thru the botanic gardens and around the "city centre" but it was pretty much a ghost town, with hardly any people or tourists around and not really any good shops. We kept Googling for things to do, but ended up just sitting in the cafe at a Mitre 10 hardware store to fill in time til we had to go to the airport. I guess this city is more of a base for flying into (more flights than Queenstown) and for exploring further away sites.
We had a double bed room near the top of the building, so I can only say about that. Which was a very nice apartment, kitchen and living area all very clean and comfortable as were the beds. Nice views from a higher up room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was close enough to the centre with the shops and restaurants that it was an enjoyable walk. They offer a cheaper shuttle bus service to the airport which is helpful if travelling on a budget. But they were also able to order us a taxi. Hotel great.
Bruce was a fantastic host. He upgraded us to the best room which happened to be empty that night so that we wouldn't have to share a bathroom with other guests. The bed was probably the most comfortable we've slept on in any hotel, and the little garden terrace was lovely. Highly recommended any visitors to Christchurch stay here. The bus stop isn't far away and goes straight to the CBD in 30 minutes or so.
Loved that it was right next to Hagley Park. Walking to CBD was pleasant through the Park. The bus stop to the city is just a couple of minutes away, and it is also on the route for the bus to the Airport (number 3). Monster Chicken is just downstairs and highly recommended for those who love fried chicken. There are a number of restaurants nearby too. We'd book there again next time we are in Christchurch.
The City Central apartments were in a great location being a 10 minute walk to the Christchurch CBD and all its attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room assigned to us was clean and very roomy. The motel is located close to both take away food and restaurants. I would recommend City Central Apartments for an affordable stay in beautiful Christchurch,
This was an excellent hotel right next to the airport terminal, car rentals and bus stops so could not have been handier. The rooms and facilities were also excellent and we had a very comfortable stay the night before our flight out of Christchurch. The Antarctic Centre and some shops/restaurants are nearby (walkable) and it is easy to get a bus from/to Christchurch.
Tidy, you get what you paid for, cheap. Showers good presure, unit spacious, pets ok. Close to shops. Staff friendly, but ignored long term tenant issues in night which is rude when your a paying customer and traveled far and want a good night's rest, was quite frightening, tempted to call cops it was that bad.
Lena and Peter always make me feel like I am coming home. They keep a very clean, well run motel. Location is great, I take the bus from the airport to a stop around the corner. I have stayed here for over twenty years under two different managements. Only place I will stay in Christchurch.
So clean, cheap, close to the airport, warm and friendly. Such a good place, I wish all capsule hotels were like Jucy. Very secure, great air con in the actual capsule and the size was huge compared to some I've stayed in. 100% will be back.
Location is good, near to restaurants, supermarket and mall. Near Botanic garden and city center, Short drive to Christchurch Airport. Hotel room is clean and spacious but is dated. Kitchen well equip and meet our need. Good parking space.
It is located centrally in the Christchuch CBD, close to every attractions within the city such as the Riverside Market Place, Botanical Garden etc. Also, it is the biggest hotel in the Christchurch CBD. Highly recommended!
Location of the hotel is perfect - literally right beside Christchurch Airport. Perfect for travelers who have early flights out of town. The hotel restaurant is a life-saver as all the shops in the airport close early.
The location was great for UC, Riccarton and Christchurch, and the airport. The manager was really friendly welcoming and helpful. Plenty of food options around.
