Wow! Wow! Wow! What a beautiful family owned boutique hotel. I had the river view (lower room), and it was amazing. I had a stunning view, a very comfortable large bed, a large shower, and plenty of room! The hotel is just a couple minute walk from the fountain/central location. The Wifi was good, I had several Zoom meetings during my stay. There were a couple of unstable wifi moments, but wifi never dropped the video meetings. But, what makes this place amazing is the hospitality the family provided. They went out of their way to assist with anything I needed, and they were so kind. There is no need to look further. This hotel is definitely the place to stay in Kutaisi!

To be honest-it' just for hardcore travellers or backpackers yet. It's not an easy destination, they still need to improve in many ways. The people are very kind - but they are poor. There is rubbish everywhere - Sad to see it. But they are working on it, more and more attracions open every year for you to discover. The mountains are beautyful. If you don't expect too much, please support Georgia with your travel and money.

Great place especially the bridge & restaurants by the river .. 160 km away Uplistsikhe Cave Town is a must if travelling between TBILISI & KUTAISI. Food and restaurants are excellent in both. Ambience is great.
The flat is new and very well equipped with spacious lounge. Very secure with courtyard and gate and quiet. Lovely people.
Very good place to chill out in. We were a couple and a Lady friend. Thank you. We were only there 2 days but will return.

The city is nice, but to be honest after time I regret that we did not went first to Batumi or Tibilisi. For me personally, this city is good but for 1 or max. 2 days of sightseeing, after more time I would get bored. The city is very old, sometimes you can feel that it is still not so adapted to the tourism. Nice place for people that are facinated about history and old buildings. Maybe in the summer it has more to offer. We went in March when there was nothing much to do.

To see:
To see:
Prometheus Cave (it is not as touristy as the negative reviews I read, and most of the caves are lit by white light with some colored lights so you see the natural rock colors - it is awesome, the size and formations)
Motsameta Monastery (beautiful, small, on a mountain with a frescoed church and views of more of the Caucasus and river...I heard Gelati is great too but did not see it)
Bagrati's Cathedral and the surrounding ruins, including kvevrebi (clay wine jars in the ground)
Kutaisi Botanical Garden (Bagrati is on the way to this, depending on where you stay), 5 lari admission fee (bring small bills - I found out not everyone has change for 100 lari)...beautiful and with an Orthodox shrine in a tree!
Bukioti (small, colorful cafe with cacao and of course coffee, tea, hot chocolate, as well as achma (a type of khachapuri made with puff pastry) and the best desserts (lava cake, apple dessert which is an air-fried apple filled with nuts and raisins, both topped with vanilla ice cream, and others)
El Paso restaurant - good khinkali
Kolkha Fountain that is in the city center (gold-toned animals with 2 horses on top and a lit in different colors at night)

Beautiful city. It was clean, friendly people.
Beautiful city. It was clean, friendly people. The food was amazing. We went during the winter so the snow was great and everything was running smoothly. Most of the places to visit are at most 1 hour away. Would recommend to go with the local tour guide rather than driving yourself just because the streets and signals are not clear for a foreigner. Food and ticket entries are very affordable. For a trip for a family of 5 people, we did not waste more than 1000 euros

The journey to Kutaisi is like a journey to the past.
The journey to Kutaisi is like a journey to the past. It is nice to see wild world, wild city like Kutaisi. Everything goes slow (apart from road traffic) and food smells and tastes so good.
Go to Kutaisi and feel it yourself!
Stayed here with two of my friends before flying out of Kutaisi. I wished we had spent more nights here as the view is very beautiful it is by the Rioni river. We had a balcony as well in our room so it was perfect to have coffee on it in the morning. Elsa was a very kind and communicative hostess. She helped us with anything we wanted. I also loved that the room we booked had plastic slippers for us to use. The location is also very near the city centre. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Kutaisi, definitely pick Gantiadi Hotel.
AIA is a nice apartment hidden in the suburbs of Kutaisi. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood, nevertheless only 20-minute walk from the centre. Online you can chat with the host in English but since he is not at the apartment, you can only talk in Georgian or Russian with the lady who handed over the keys. She was super nice and offered honey melon when we arrived. Normally, they can organise a taxi ride to the airport, but in our case they were busy so we booked a taxi through Booking. All in all, we had a great time!
Kutaisi inn is an excellent option to stay in kutaisi. Provides a neat and clean room with a very reasonable price . Good breakfast .
Good news for travellers not used to using tissue paper for cleaning after using the toilet ( for eg Indians / Arabs etc ) , this hotel has a hand shower ( shattaf ) in room toilets . This really highlights the willingness of the management to accommodate peoples needs and concerns they have towards their customers .
The hotel is easily reachable by foot from Kutaisi touristic centre. Close to restaurants. We stayed for one night before our morning flight and were very pleased with our stay. We stayed in room Nr 5. The bathroom was niccely newly renovated, the room was big and the bed was comfy. The hotel has its character. We have not tried the breakfast. We booked a convenient airport transfer at reasonable price. The hotel staff was friendly.
it exceeded my expectations. The price I paid was incredibly reasonable for the quality of service and comfort I experienced during my stay. The rooms were clean, and well-maintained. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the value I received for the price I paid. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kutaisi, as it truly offers great value for money.
Good location the owner is really helpful, the owner picked us up at the hotel for an additional fee which was very reasonable. Was able to assist us with exchanging cash and getting Sim cards. Very quick to reply if you have an enquiry. Met some lovely local people who live in the area too that we're able to give some history about the city. Will definitely stay again. It's walking distance to the old town of Kutaisi.
It's the best place to stay in Kutaisi if not the whole country! Amazing hosts, huge room with a comfortable bed. Location couldn't be more central. They provide airport pick up if needed, organize personalized and very flexible tours and make sure you enjoy your time. Breakfast is very delicious and their homemade products (wine, bread and other typical dishes) are amazing! Their dog is super cute!
I didn’t expect the hotel comparing with the price! First let us not say Hotel! It’s a motel!! It’s like you’re in relative’s home! If we come back late we need to wait till someone opens for us! They did not clean the room when we were out !! The breakfast is so poor! Only 2 staff and they don’t speak English !!! Rooms quite small !! I don’t recommend and won’t come back if I visit Kutaisi again
I and my family were in Kutaisi for one night and stayed in the excellent Hotel Goldenera. I am very happy that in our country is a Hotel like this with exceptional Hostess Nino. Clean, nice, and cozy rooms to stay in in Winter, but I think I will come back again. Recommend to all guests from Georgia and around the world.
Very friendly host, treated us with Georgian wine in the evening. For additional charge host also provided transportation service from Kutaisi airport to the guesthouse (our flight arrived in the night). Host also offers trips to prominent locations in Kutaisi neighborhood.
The host is very helpful and a nice person in all Georgia, he was very kind, offered us to park the car inside the hotel, we didn’t asked and he upgraded us to a better room without extra money, the breakfast was the BEST in Georgia and the stay was wonderful.
Good location of hotel if you have early flight from Kutaisi airport. Taxi to airport costs ~30 lari and it takes ~20 min.
Hotel is clean and comfortable. Good price / value ratio.
Nice garden with pool and tree house although we didn't try as it was winter.
Great location just on the marshrutka's bus stop. Good chooise when transfering from Kutaisi airport to other parts of Georgia. A lot of shops nearby and even McDonalds. Rooms were clean and tidy. Note - to get to hostel you shoud use elevator.
…good location, few minutes walk to the center
…Georgian breakfast experience
…great services, like airport transfer and car rental
…warm welcome by the hosts, always open for advice and tips what to see and do in and around Kutaisi
The hotel was in a quiet place and I could have good rest in the nights after being out all day. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful. They arranged for a taxi to transfer me to airport promptly.
property is only 15 mints away from the airport and it serves the purpose of transit .
Hotel can arrange airport transfer and it will cost 30 GEL.
we have been greeted by Nika and he was supper helpful.
I had a nice stay in Kutaisi. The hotel is on the hill and just walking distance to the city center. Parking is easy along the road nearby. The staff is friendly and speaks very good English.
Overall, I had a great experience with the Grand Opera Hotel. staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to stay in Kutaisi.
Pleasant, clean hotel with attentive staff. Very good value for money. Well situated hotel for travellers who just need to stay overnight before their departure from Kutaisi airport.
It is in the heart of Kutaisi, next to the Market. Everything is near to this hotel. The staff was friendly and they're organising airport transfer if you need.
