The ruins were expansive and high up. The 1.5 hour hike down from the ruins was one of the highlights of our trip. We ate at a Pizza place recommended by the hotel. It was great. Did not see a lot of other restaurant options. The town has some cool narrow cobble stone alleys and a nice plaza. We took a collectivo to Cusco on our way out of town. A great, cheap way to travel. Were looking for one up to the ruins but did not find one because we were at the wrong end of the bridge over the river. You need to walk across the bridge to catch the collectivos. One night in town was about right. Ended up in a slightly more expensive taxi for the ride up to the ruins. Would not recommend hiking up to the ruins, only down!

The walking through Pisac ruins is a fantastic experience - you should go by taxi to the upper entrance and walk down to the exit at the city center. The city itself is small, but very nice, with many good silver and crafts shops, and a fine botanic garden. The stay at the Florencio Casa Hacienda and dining at Cuchara de Palo restaurant were added delights

Pisac is a quiet and chilled out location, that has great little market for breakfast and lots of vegetarian to vegan restaurant's in the evening.
Hiking is a must, with easy to follow routes and easy access to the collectivo's to get to other towns.

Such a calm town after the hustle and bustle and traffic of Cusco. !! The archaeological site is the most complete and intact site in the country.
Eat at Osteria Antica, just a short walk from the hotel, on the same street. Wood fired oven pizza. The best pizza crust we have tasted. n Apparently, locals from as far away as Ollantaytambo and Urabamba make the trip to eat here.

Pisac has it's fair share of tourists which has positive and negative aspects. There are great restaurants and lots of shopping. Prices are inflated and sometimes requires haggling. A lady on the Sunday market charged us 3 times what she charged the local for a bowl of soup. It was 15 soles instead of 5. No big deal in principle doesn't feel nice. Ask for prices first!
The location was excellent, right at the main square in Pisac. There is a lovely rooftop where one can enjoy hot or cold drinks while appreciating the mountains.
The staff were outstanding, Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and gave us recommendations for what to do and where to eat in town.
Fran who also worked there, and is studying to become a guide, was great, he took us to the archeological site one day and explained the local customs and the history of the place.
I wish you both the best!
David is the best host that makes for sure you feel at home. The internet is very fast and the place has amazing views of the mountians. On the edge of town but very close to the center, this is a quiet and comfortable place that will have you wanting to stay longer! I will absolutely be staying here again on my next visit to Pisac. There is even a beautiful grassy yard, fire pit and kitties that come to say hi. Thank you so much David! I hope to see you again soon.
This is by far one of the most interesting hostels I've ever stayed in. The castle on the hill is magical and the view is unbeatable. The food is very good and there's alcohol and n/a beverages available. It's an amazing space to meet other travelers and socialize in the awesome surroundings of the Pisac mountains. Beds are comfortable and the showers have hot water. You can tell the owner and operator has worked hard to curate this experience.
Nelida and Daniel were so accommodating, kind and helpful they always made sure I was comfortable. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner which is authentic Peruvian food made in sanitary conditions and with good quality produce. The location of Wayqi Wasi is in very nice, quiet and peaceful area with views of mountains all around and next to the river.
I am so happy I chose to stay at Wayqi Wasi!
After staying in >85 hostels/hotels this year so far, this one truly stands out. As an engineer and innovation manager, I really appreciated the creative and robust design of this unique hostel and the attentive owner going out of his way to improve its creation continually. The place somehow enables meeting nice people quickly and easy. The dogs and views complete the Wolf Totem experience 🐕⛰
Amazing location! Almost Directly in center of Pisac, but still very quiet.
The stuff i.e Miss Marin was very nice to us. They have botanic garden which you can visit and she will show you everything there. Their botanic garden was our favorite part of our stay there.
Hacienda is few minutes walk from everything important in Pisac.
Breakfast are included in the price as well.
Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choices, freshly squeezed orange juice, egg choices brought to your table. The actual location of Melissa Wasi was much further away from town than the one pinpointed on the Booking.com website. It was 1/2 hour walking to the main square of Pisac. Otherwise the site was wonderfully quiet amidst Eucaliptus trees and gardens.
It was very relaxing and peaceful, the room was also very beautiful. Everything was clean and we had no problem with the shower, we always had warm water.
The mattress can be electrically warmed up.
The kitchen was fantastic, very well equipped, it was really nice to cook there everyday.
Pisac is 20 minutes on foot or a few minutes with tuk tuk (3 soles) away.
Best hotel i have stayed in, the host Janny was just beautiful, the cats came and kept me warm while sitting outside, the space was comfortable and lovely to be in, a safe place and tea was available when ever I wanted it. I'm so greatful, wish I was still there. A few places in the space you can relax and chill out even a garden.
I really liked the hotel. The room was clean and bright. It was very quiet in the room which came as a nice surprise, I couldn’t hear others moving through the hotel. The water was hot for showering. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even let me heat up water to drink in their kitchen. Also, great location.
It’s very well located, between the river and the main road, very near the market and all the Nichelle little streets that Pisac has to offer.
Enrique, the owner is really cool and friendly!
There is a beautiful garden in the center of the property filled with plants and trees, which makes it really relaxing.
Wonderful hotel! Everything was marvelous. They cater to all eating lifestyles for breakfast. Lots of beautiful painting through out both properties, the meditation yoga room and the Terrance overlooking the corn fields , Ling Ling and Pisac Ruins.
The hotel facilities were beautiful, the marble and the massage shower were very nice. The personnel was friendly (if incompetent, see below). Lovely view from the "view rooms" (the standard room tho is facing inwards, to the staircase).
Beautiful view over Plaza Constitucion and the surrounding mountains. The hotel is situated very close to the collectivo bus station. The room was new and comfortable. The manager, Frank was very friendly, helpful and eager to please..
The location is epic, its a bit of a hill to climb but once you get over that the view is incredible. No where really in Pisac is up the hill so don't be lazy and just book the place and enjoy the view from sun up to sundown!!
The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable! The view was epic. There is a nice trail to enjoy just behind the hotel and it was incredibly peaceful. It would have probably been better if I had not been alone.
