I manage the guesthouse on a full time basis. Cleanliness and satisfying our guests by giving them a special homely and high quality environment is my greatest achievement. The area with all it's unique aspects such as the fauna of flora, especially the fynbos, is extremely important to us.

The botanical garden of Harold Porter, which stretches from the mountain-top down to the sea, is known as "little Kirstenbosch" and contains some of the best examples of local fynbos, including proteas, restios and over 50 species of ericas. Only an hour's drive from Cape Town, Betty's Bay is a picturesque seaside village situated along the most scenic Clarence Drive Route (R44) between Gordon's Bay and Kleinmond. The pretty town is positioned in a narrow strip of land sandwiched between the Kogelberg Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, and bordered by fresh water lakes and the Palmiet River. Visit Harold Porter National Botanical Garden, part of the Cape Floral Region which is a World Heritage Site. Guests can enjoy an excursion to one of only two jackass African penguin breeding colonies. Shop for local arts and crafts in Kleinmond’s famous Harbour Road and enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants. There are great hiking trails in the Overberg Mountains, some lovely beaches and nearby vineyards which offer wine tasting. Enjoy a range of activities including motorcycle riding, water skiing and wake boarding, sand boarding, cray fishing and fishing in season.
