Amazing location! Short walk down the hill to the Village. Condo was very clean, plenty of blankets, pillows, etc. Surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful. Heating unit worked great and the bed was comfortable.

The city of Truckee is very charming. You have the old Truckee down town, with restaurants, museums and all kinds of store to buy souvenirs and merchandise. Then you have the new Truckee down town that have grocery stores, banks, pet hospitals and more restaurants. The bike path along the river is vantastic, you can ride a long distance or short distance. Beautiful pine trees with the river running thru it. Alpine bliss.

We loved Truckee much more than the busy areas around Lake Tahoe. Truckee is a charming little village. We had really good brunch in town followed by quite an amazing hike around the Donner Summit and the Mount Judah Loop trail. Absolutely loved the Donner lake and all the little rivers and mountains around town.

If you want to get away from the city, but you aren't sure you want the touristy crowds of Lake Tahoe, then come to Truckee and Donner Lake. A great downtown area with restaurants and shops, but not overdone. Endless hiking trails and running streams/rivers everywhere (this was early June). I will be headed back to Truckee every year to breathe and relax and watch both the sunsets and the stars.

Very understaffed no one at the front desk for most of the time we were there. We arrive for breakfast at 9 AM and they said eggs would be done in a few minutes, we waited 20 no eggs were ever made we had very little food for breakfast and they were screaming kids everywhere. There were crumbs and rainbow sprinkles all over the floor and the place was dirty. Sadly I can’t say I would ever recommend this to anyone anyone because there are simply not enough staff to accommodate all of the gas that showed up and paid for a service that they did not get.

We go to Truckee usually a couple of times a year and really enjoy the small town feel. The shops are of good quality clothes and home decor. We have had great times shopping there and look forward to finding cool items. There are several cafes, bars/restaurants, and cantinas to choose from within a 4 block stretch as well.
Nice property. Good location. Rooms are nice, but the inability to control lights individually was an issue. My husband was in Truckee for a medical procedure. The lighting in the room cannot be controlled individually, so if the lights are on in the sitting room they are also nice and bright in the sleeping area. Bathroom the same. We had a pet room and the carpets were very dirty. Good breakfast, depending on staff shift, most were helpful. Expensive for what it was and $100 pet deposit. Probably wouldn’t choose again.
Location is great. Beds were comfy. Pool and hot tub were excellent! An easy walk to some good restaurants (5050 Brewing Company, a Thai place) and the bike trail. Close to both Truckee and Lake Tahoe by car, and the TART bus stop. The welcome cookie was a nice treat after a long day on the road. Hotel has a library with lots of fun books to borrow, lovely landscaping, and a great pool/hot tub area. The area smelled lovely, like vanilla pines, and the bear decor was charming.
Beautiful location by Donner Lake. We were surprised to discover a nice little sauna as part of the hotel. Room is standard and clean; the mini kitchenette is stocked with plates, bowls, utensils, etc, and a fridge and microwave. Don't miss the Little Truckee Ice Creamery. Great location for various ski resorts in the Donner Summit area, including Royal Gorge (cross country skiing).
A modern mix of rustic and industrial feel that is so in vouge now. We selected the executive studio and was amazed at the size and accommodations over all - more than any couple would ever need. Truckee is a 5 mile distance so a vehicle would be needed to fully experience all that the area offers - which is quite a lot. Great jump point for Lake Tahoe as well.
Cedar House is an architectural beauty tucked onto the rocky and lush hills of the quaint town of Truckee. It’s best features are: it’s staff, free bike usage with the most picturesque trails right outside its doors, Stella’s restaurant just a walk away from any room, it’s outdoor seating area and mini bar in lobby.
The two Villa we had was amazing in terms of space and cleanliness. Location was also good, very close to different beaches.
We didn’t use the other facilities like spa, fitness center etc so I don’t know if they were good or not but I suppose yes. They have the gondola literally inside the hotel.
Our stay at Gravity Haus Truckee-Tahoe was fantastic! The accommodations were clean and cozy, the bed was super comfy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Plus, the hot tub added the perfect touch of relaxation. Highly recommend it for a great time in the area!
Close to Tahoe Donner ski slopes and Truckee downtown and the restaurants. I think this hotel is underrated. It had all that we could ask for and was a bit cheaper than other options around here. Wifi was good, breakfast is the standard basic fare but works for us.
Location near Truckee center and skiing. Clean and spacious. Visually pleasant. Good place for the family to congregate during the holidays with nice fireplace and easy cooking area.
Homely place with friendly and very helpful hosts. It’s a long way from home for us but if we come back to this area then we would definitely stay here again. First class.
