Hacienda Inn, hotel in Mérida

With easy access to Mérida's main roads, this hacienda-style hotel is just a 3-minute drive from Mérida Airport and 10 minutes from the center of town.

Their customer service was exceptional! Very personable and helpful, very familiar with the airport, taxis, and time frames. The concierge spoke English, which was so helpful, and he seemed to love his job helping everyone. Very much 5 star hotel service. The pool and surroundings were lovely. It was quiet even though it was in town, a short Uber to the parks and plazas. Yes, older style, but very clean. Felt so relaxed. Perfect place to stay as a first or last -2 nights when flying in and out. I will recommend it to my friends for sure! A little more detail: They also helped us with a car rental situation (had to drop luggage off fast before even checking in, to meet a car rental return deadline. They helped us with that too.) Like having a good friend who lives there!

We stayed in this Hotel 27 years ago and wanted to return. We still think that this hotel still has its charm even though it's a little run down and needs some TLC. The location is great and the staff was very friendly. There is a Starbucks inside the hotel so the WIFI connection is very good when you take the Starbucks signal.

    We really liked the city.

We really liked the city. You need to understand the bus situation and we tried, bought bus passes, tried using them but they were not coded the way our phone was displaying so we ended up using taxi service for all of our visitations to museums, central, restaurants, etc. It wasn't expensive but much more than the simple bus or combi travel would have been. Merida has lots to offer, especially with tours outside of the city, a bus trip to the beach in Progresso for 25 pesos each way, very cheap, cenotes, pyramids, on and on!

Merida is a big, historic, busy city surrounded by Mayan ruins, historic haciendas and beautiful cenotes. The Merida restaurant scene has everything from chef owned culinary gems to family run taco shops. There are many excellent tour guides available for in-depth exploration of the city and surroundings or one can do so on their own using public transportation or with a rental car.

The rooms are big and the balcony too. The roof terrace bar just opened when I arrived and the view is amazing, on top of that you are allowed to smoke there, which is a huge plus in a country like Mexico where smokers are usually banned even from open-air spaces. The Star Medica hospital is just across the street, which was the reason for my visit to this area. And a nice mall is also very close, as well as a convenience store just next to the hotel. Internet was great! So everything you need for remote work or just in general.

Casa Tres Colibríes probably ranks as my top stay in all Mexico and top in Merida! Giovanna and staff member Daniel were absolutely amazing. My family felt as if we were staying with our own family. Giovanna checked in with us prior to our stay and ensured we were comfortable in her home. The details of the home are stunning, the property is super clean and maintained, and it’s super close to all the centro spots. Thank you so much Giovanna and Daniel for your special hospitality, care, and support.

Literally everything was outstanding: the staff (super responsive via WhatsApp, before, during, and after our stay), the place itself with spotless clean and spacious rooms in the middle of this tropical paradise of a hacienda, to the food, and the excellent location if you want to visit Uxmal, Chizen Itza, and Merida. The hotel will also organize local travel and sightseeing trips for you if you want. If you are in Yucatan, this is THE place to stay at.

This was one of my favorite hostel in my 8 months travels and for sure yet in Mexico. The place is super cosy, small scaled, lots of storage and lockers with keys. There are events everyday. I met some really nice people there and it just felt like home for a few days. The breakfast is ok, fully vegetarian. The volunteers mix up with the guests and create a good vibe. Beds are super comfy.

Property was quiet, away from town center so you can sleep without cars honking all night. Big room. Adults only, so no screaming children waking me up. Refillable water and small fridge in room. Merida is safe so don’t feel worried walking around. You can take blue bus from airport for 45mxn to second stop and walk 2-3 blocks to hotel, it’s just as nice or nicer than taxi.
