I absolutely loved the layout! You feel like you are staying in a villa, each room is positioned on different levels of the stairs. 3 pools! Each with a different vibe, one for social gatherings and a volleyball net, one for a more zen pool time with the occasional monkey/iguana visit, and one that is central to the private rooms. A rooftop terrace overlooking the jungle was a unique and perfect for social spaces to get to know people. The restaurant and bar are easily accessible, delicious food and great servers! The rooms are cleaned once a day which is refreshing after long days at the beach when you are covered in sand. Selina hosted a different activity every night that was welcoming, inclusive and tons of fun for everyone who joined! The staff were very approachable and very helpful! I recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Manuel Antonio! It gives you the opportunity to branch out and meet new people every day as a solo traveller!

Beautiful national park and the amenities in the surrounding...
Beautiful national park and the amenities in the surrounding town are plenty. It was easy to walk around, although take notice of the traffic on the main road. It got pretty busy and fast sometimes. We stayed near our resort for meals within walking distance- El Wagon was a good family spot for dinner's not spent at our resort. We had an excellent lunch and cup of coffee at Emelio's Café. The town has plenty of grocery stores for any daily needs.
We only tried two beaches. Playa Bisanz had tricky parking and the guys watching cars honestly looked a bit sus. We did not stay there for long. Playa Manuel Antonio was absolutely beautiful. The park fee/ reservations keep it low key and it's well worth the visit and admission fee. The water was warm and the beach clean. Watch your belongings as the capuchin monkeys that bounce around are more than happy to raid your bag, as we witnessed happening to one of our fellow beachgoers.
If you're driving yourself to the park, take notice of the official parking. The locals are harmless but a bit aggressive with trying to get you to park in their lots so they can charge you. We got forced into a lot by a gentleman jumping into the road, then kicked out when we told them we didn't want a guided tour with them. We laughed it off, as we could have easily just driven around him. If you book your adventures with a company, they all offer transpiration.
That said, a guided tour with a reputable company (We did Jade Tours) for the national park is a must. We saw WAAAAY more than we would have on our own, including a sloth fight. Well worth the fee.
We also did a kayak/mangrove tour with Narcacosta and a guided horseback/waterfall tour with Brisas del Nara- I cannot say enough good things about either one of these organizations. Top tier experience, knowledgeable guides, and beautiful facilities.

I forgot to mention before about the assistance I got from the customer service representative ELISABETH. She helped me since the very begin of my reservation to the very end with great knowledge, efficiency and patience. I am I little challenged with the internet but she was right there for me, did not matter the time. We are all lucky for having her.

Good beaches.
Good beaches. Espadilla, even when crowded, is large enough that you can walk a little and get a fairly empty beach if you prefer. A car is a must-have if you plan to explore the town, but you're not missing much if you stay in a resort with beach and jungle access the whole time. The most expensive restaurants are good, all others are nothing special and just okay to not be hungry. You'll get better treatment as a foreigner because people expect tips, so definitely take advantage of that if you are one.

Mid-February is very hot and humid for this area - 90...
Mid-February is very hot and humid for this area - 90 degrees Fahrenheit everyday. We really enjoyed visiting the park and seeing rainforest wildlife, swimming at the beaches (watch out for strong rip tides!), and familiarizing ourselves with an area we had never been to before. Be ready to pay tourist prices (you are in a high tourism area - and it is so for a good reason), but if you can get an apartment with a kitchen, visiting the Quepos farmer's market and being able to make some of your own meals make this area more affordable. Glen's on the beach has the best chairs and his whole family is so kind and helpful. Going into the park for the first time with a guide is highly recommended, but so is going a second time on your own at your own pace. Get there first thing in the morning, because it heats up and gets busy after 9 AM. Eat at the Falafel Bar, like everyone says, because it is delicious (the smoothies are really refreshing). The public busy is easy to navigate, so use it and explore! Favorite activity in the area, other than the national park, was by far the Night Damas Mangrove Tour with Iguana Tours. Explore and have fun!
Breakfast was served next door at Buru restaurant and was very good. The pineapple juice is so delicious!! The rooms were comfortable with good air conditioning and the location is close to the beach and the Manuel Park entrance. The pool was nice and well kept and the coffee was great to wake up to each morning at reception. The staff was very helpful for suggesting and booking excursions. There are several friendly cats that reside around the hotel and are fun to visit with. Overall it was a very pleasant place to stay.
The hotel is quaint and close to Manuel Antonio National Park as well as beaches, shops, restaurants, marina, and bus. It has a lovely pool surrounded by beautiful plants and flowers. There’s an open air restaurant/bar and breakfast space. Our food and drinks (they have 2 for 1 happy hour every day) were delicious. The room has plenty of room and the bathroom was a great size. Our beds were so comfortable. Finally, the staff was AMAZING and so friendly. They will help you with anything. We will definitely be back!
The staff at this hotel were wonderful, lots of youth on volunteer exchanges that were very helpful. The setting of this hotel is lovely, the pool is nice and the breakfast is very good. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. We also tried the restaurant for dinner and the food was fresh and tasty. It's a short walk to the main road to access the bus that takes you up to the Espadilla beach in Manuel Antonio and the Manuel Antonio National Park.
This stay was far beyond our expectations. It’s right on the mountain road that goes to Manuel Antonio national park and beach. Easy parking and check-in. A great bar, restaurant and perfect staff. They even have hiking routes in the forest that starts at the hotel!
The only downside for us was the quality of the room and bathroom. It wasn’t perfectly clean but it was a good value for the money anyway. I’m sure there are some better room options.
Swimming pool was amazing, kids loved it - great views and the best place to see lots of monkeys:) We saw a lot of animals: rockoons, cappuccino monkeys, squirrel monkeys, iguanas, sloths, hummingbirds, lizards. On the beach we saw toucans :)
Our experience in Manuel Antonio national park was very disappointing (looked overhyped) and de la Selva hotel saved us, it was amazing to see soo many animals at hotel !
Excellent location if going to the park. Not far from beach- walking distance. Lots of bar & restaurant options nearby. Nothing fancy but adequate & a good price for Manuel Antonio. The hotel staff was helpful- especially with parking. Be aware that the park is closed on Tuesday & services are limited in hotel. For example bar & restaurant closed at dinner time & no access to ice for your room.
best location at a reasonable price - right across the street from the beach and up against the walkway to the entrance of Manuel Antonio national park - nice towels for use at the beach, sand shower available, good water pressure, good toilet flush pressure (put tp in the trash), nice deck to view the beach, probably can see sunset at certain times of the year, close to great restaurants
The staff of this hotel is extremely friendly and exceptionally kind! I also loved the views from our room and the size of our suite was incredible! Breakfast was nice, but the produce used was not always the freshest, compared to other same-priced locations we stayed at in Costa Rica. Wifi was stable and the parking was comfortable enough. Overall a good stay to visit Manuel Antonio.
The views were wonderful. With morning coffee or sunset cocktails, it was a perfect place to hang out. The location was a 5 minute walk to the prettiest beach in Manuel Antonio. Good restaurants were short walks away. The pool was great after a day on the beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable and having a kitchen was a big plus. Only 1 mile from the National Park.
Friendly staff. Great little hotel on walking distance (aprox. 800 m) from entrance gate national park Manuel Antonio. Cross the main road, walk 2 min and you'll find a lovely beach with rental chairs and a bar/restaurant. Busstop in front of the hotel makes Quepos easily accessible. Every morning and late afternoon monkeys visit the pool area :-)
If you are looking for a clean, quiet and affordable hotel right next to Manuel Antonio Park then this hotel is for you.
The beach is less than 2 minutes away, same for the national park. The delicious buffet breakfast is served in another hotel across the street. I wished I had stayed longer. Thanks again to the team working there.
Breakfast and Dinner was excellent. Some of the best food we had in Costa Rica. I absolutely loved the Curry Red Snapper for dinner.
Great place to see wildlife. We saw more animals in birds at the hotel than we did at Manuel Antonio. Two toed sloth, macaws that arrive every evening around 5 pm. Toucans seen daily.
Very friendly and helpful staff
Nice and quiet rooms(we stayed in 2 rooms)
There’s a stove or a hotplate in the room, so you can cook
You can see monkeys running around😅
LOVED our stay!✨
Manuel Antonio’s nature and beach are very beautiful as well, my fav place from our trip in Costa Rica
The location is perfect, very close to Manuel Antonio National Park and the beach. The room was big and the complementary breakfast and the nearby restaurants was a very pleasant surprise! The owner was friendly and the cleaning done everyday was impeccable.
Perfect! By far the best hotel we stayed at in Costa Rica. There are wild animals (sloths, monkeys, toucan,..) on the hotel property and we loved it!
Spacious rooms and nice staff. The private beach that you can reach by golf cart is a big plus
great location at the entrance f the national park. Beach access is not that direct and not the nicest as it's public, but you can walk on the beach.
The food at the hotel was really good and with very good prices. Breakfast was very good
This hotel is all about the location. Right on an amazing beach. Walking distance to everything you need, including the national park. Perfect. The staff were amazing as well. Best value for money in Manuel antonio..
Excellent hotel with breathtaking views of the sea. Excellent location and close to local restaurants major attractions such as Manuel Antonio national park, mangroves and nearby beaches.
The hotel's natural surroundings make stay great and relaxing. Room spacious, comfortable beds, large terrace, walking distance to city/beach/Manuel Antonio national park.
