The room was very nice but too expensive for the size of it. It was very small that when we had to set the two suitcases on the ground it was very difficult to walk around them. The views were exceptional from the room. The breakfast was very good. The selection of pastries was delicious and I asked for an omelette they provided.

Amazing resort, love everything about it the food was incredible the atmosphere the rooms the views everything was amazing i saw the northern lights from my bed im planning to go back during the fall

Large rooms with nice shower (hot water and great pressure). The hotel is on a lake with an awesome barrel sauna and cold plunge in the lake. Very nice set up! The hotel is away from lights and on a lake so we could easily see the Northern Lights. We had a rental car so super easy to get back and forth from the city.

the room was spacious and well organized. The breakfast was luxurious, plentiful and every dish was delicious. The location is very central and lots of walkable activities nearby. the staff were welcoming, accommodating and on top of their game.

    We stayed 4 nights in Scandinavia Pilar hotel and thoroughly enjoy it. There was a great selection at the breakfast buffet. Rooms were comfortable and clean and the lication was perfect

    Although our accommodation proved to be very poor value for...

    Although our accommodation proved to be very poor value for money, Rovaniemi itself was great. We did all the activities you'd expect to do and loved them all - husky dogs sledging, snowmobiling, reindeer sleighing, wilderness hiking etc. Three or four days is enough though.

    We loved Rovaniemi! Wished we have spent more time there. It's a beautiful place. Do visit the Santa Claus Village, do the husky ride & Ranua Wildlife Park. We managed to catch the aurora on a tour from Rovaniemi with Artic GM tour. David was our guide. He drove us up north on route 75 towards Saariselka and witnessed the aurora near Ivalo. David was an excellent guide cum driver. We had an amazing time with him.

    tours were fun. Loved the restaurant "Bull" below the hotel.

    tours were fun. Loved the restaurant "Bull" below the hotel. We did dog sledding and survival suit (at night) and went to Santa's Village. All super fun and we were dressed right. Invest in Kamik boots! (ok - only a bit over $100 on Amazon)

    its a great city, but a little bit difficult to explore on public transport/ on foot. Especially if you stay up north, renting a car is recommended. The snowmobile safari tours and the northern lights really is the highlight of my trip

    Do not stay your entire time in Lapland here and do not bother staying in the Santa Claus village - it is very commercialised and expensive. Go there for a day to do some activities, but go farther north for a much more authentic experience both for accommodations and winter activities.

    What a fun place to explore and enjoy nature, visit Santa Claus and take part in multiple activities! A lot of great restaurants in the city center and also very clean shopping centre! Everything easily accessible by foot but bolt is also accessible if you want to explore outside of the center!

    This was a very new home apartment. Everything was working and the apartment was very clean. The apartment stayed very warm inside even though it was -32 C outside in February. No loud noises or anything weird or disturbing going on in the neighbourhood. The shower hot water was perfect and the washing machine and the dishwasher were very good. Very good value for money and a cheaper alternative for very expensive Rovaniemi hotels.The staff was super super nice, kind and helpful.

    Lovely hotel outside of Rovaniemi. Great location to just walk out to the edge of the frozen river and see the Northern Lights. There is a tour company that operates out of the hotel too which means no additional driving / pick ups to go on tours. However having a car is a good idea if you want to spend time in and around the city given the cost of taxis
