If chilling and getting rid of big city stress is what you need, you have come to the right place! The apartment is on the first floor of a beachfront renovated fisherman's house. Forty years ago, the fisherman who lived here came out on his balcony every morning to see if the waves would allow him to go fishing. Today, surfers get up early every morning to check the quality and height of the surf. And the view is truly breathtaking! It cannot be described. It must be experienced. A large private roof terrace with sunbeds, BBQ, table and chairs and 180 degree ocean views tops off the experience.
My name is Jack, I am your host, and I am here to help! I live in the corner of the building on the ground floor, where you may see me paint, make sculptures of driftwood, and generally enjoy life. If there is anything I can do for you, just ask! I am happy if I can be of assistance in any way.
Famara is a small village situated in the biosphere in the north of Lanzarote. Everything is protected here - the land, the ocean, even the houses, which have to conform to the centuries old architecture. As a result, the village is wonderfully unspoilt, and the sometimes ugly developments in many other areas of the Canary Islands are not seen here. The old streets still have sand, not pavement, and there is a wonderful laid-back atmosphere, as if time has stood still. The sea is teeming with fish, and the fishermen still go fishing in their small boats. In combination with the surfers, who also go to sea every day, the ambience is one of unique harmony between man and nature.
