Capri is beautiful but being destroyed by greed. Over-development and far too many people descending on the island from cruise ships. And allowing tour groups of twenty or more people to crowd such tiny streets is ridiculous. It starting to feel like an outdoor shopping mall. A real shame, as, geographically, it is stunning.

For archeology lovers, Villa Jovis is the biggest imperial roman palace remaining on the island, with a beautiful hike through the outskirts of Capri town up to the Villa Jovis, and a gorgeous park next to it, Parco Astarita, with breath-taking views of the sea.
For hikers, you can hike along the western coast of the island from a lighthouse in the southwest (Faro) to Grotto Azzuro in the northwest, through diverse terrain of mediterranean forests, rocks and cliffs above the sea (sometimes scary), and ruins of old forts along the way.
Chair lift at Monte Solaro brings you to a great almost full circle view of the island.
Anacapri, the second town on this little island, has more diverse restaurant options relative to the chic Capri, with a short bus ride between the two.

We went in November so the weather was not great and many restaurants were closed. There were a couple options in Capri and a couple in Anacapri. Otherwise it was very pretty and a magical experience.

One more day would have been great.
One more day would have been great. We loved walking and exploring the island. We walked over to the other side and down to the water. The walk back up was not easy, but the weather was perfect. We took a taxi over to Anacapri to see the Villa San Michele and experience that side and really loved it. Restaurants are fantastic, people are great and the sights and sounds are so unique.

I absolutely loved Capri.
I absolutely loved Capri. There is so much to do both leisurely and adventure. There are plenty of hiking trails and ways to get “lost” around the tiny island if you want. And there are also several beaches, shops, tours and such that you could do for a week long. The restaurant scene is fantastic and the views from just about any part of the island are breath taking. The only downside is Capri is very pricy. You could easily spend € 70-100 on 2 drinks and a snack.
I stayed in Weber Hotel with my family! We got three rooms. The location of the Hotel is excellent. The views from the rooms and restaurant are supreme!
The hotel shuttle from marina Grande is great! They do it on check-in and check-out! The road is tight and needs skillful drivers! We had a very skilled one! There is a free shuttle till late afternoon from the hotel to Capri centre!
The rooms are tired but clean!
We haven’t tried the pool!
Overall with some little improvement they are a good hotel!
This was my second time at Villa Silia. This lovely hotel is in a beautiful location in Capri. Fabio, our host, was hospitable and welcoming as the last time. Our room was palatial with Italian marble floors, antiques, and artwork. We had a small garden patio with seating. Breakfast was served on the upper patio with a breathtaking view of the sea. Fresh fruit, croissants, and cappuccinos were arranged on a tray and served on the spacious patio. Another fabulous stay at this romantic getaway! 🥰
If you want more for your Money, this charming, little hotel is the way to go. It’s operated by its owner Jacobo who greeted us at check in and provided us with useful information for our trip. He upgraded us to a bigger room which was a nice surprise.
The hotel was just what we were looking for. Inexpensive, well located, clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom were spacious and extremely clean. We did not spend much time inside the property because our plan was to explore Capri.
You feel like you are at home. I have never felt like this in a hotel. The host is just so friendly and genuine. She is also super helpful. Suggestions/ taxi scheduling/ breakfast choices etc.
Our room was so big like a little apartment. Very clean. A lot of details in the room, very well thought!
Super close to the marina and the center of Capri.
My mom and I enjoyed it very much!
I will definitely come back to this place!
Our stay at Hotel Canasta far exceeded our expectations. Our stay was perfect. From the beautiful clean spacious room, to the wonderful staff at reception at breakfast and cleaning everything was wonderful. The pool was wonderful along with the scrumptious breakfast served on white linen tablecloths. It was a five minute walk from the centre of Capri. Thanks to everyone at Hotel Canasta for welcoming us to your home.
I visited Capri alone without much of a plan, and the mother/son staff at the front desk were INCREDIBLE. They helped me out so much with recommending good food, booking my reservations, handling my travel logistics, and just being sweet overall. I really liked the location of this hotel too; it's within walking distance from downtown Capri, but not in the center. It's also close to some great little hikes.
After a very hot afternoon, having a pool to come back to and relax beside was amazing. The room was clean and quiet. It was also the best breakfast buffet we had whilst in Italy. The team were really helpful with booking restaurant reservations for us in advance also. The hotel can only be accessed by walking up a steep incline, but for us the walk was a great way to end our nights after dinner.
Check-in was easy, the hotel was walkable from the ferry at Marina Grande and very acessible, the bus also stops right near the hotel from ana capri. The accommodations were beautiful. The pool was very well-kept and quiet, the hotel room was so spacious and very cool with AC. Breakfast every morning was delicious! I will stay again if I'm ever back in Capri 🇮🇹
the property is perfect, it’s clean, it’s in the BEST location and a very simple walk to the main shopping area. and the staff is so friendly and helpful! the food is delicious.. the pool is perfect, just everything about this hotel is amazing. this is my second time visiting Capri - i went in 2019 as well, and i stayed here also and couldn’t wait to come back!
The staff service was excellent and Leah was wonderful. The rooms have elegant decor and the view and amenities were lovely. Breakfast was incredible, dinner at the rooftop was a special experience, and all the cocktails and dishes were an extremely high calibre - the hotel is a true international contender in the heart of Capri.
View is beautiful and some of staff are helpful lady serving at pool very nice and friendly, Antonio is lovely and helpful too.. quick taxis to get out, capri is amazing but this hotel may ruin your experience, get out to Capri town, Anacapri and go see blue caves to make up for a horrible stay.
We were absolutely amazed at this beautiful hotel.
The views were absolutely stunning, book the upper room with double opening out windows to the seaview and Capri.
The hosts were very helpful. Breakfast was lovely, on the balcony over looking Capri , plenty to choose from.
The hotel is and Spa are truly 5 star. Food was fantastic and all the staff were so friendly and helpful especially Chaminda who was always there to take us to and from the center of Capri. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you are considering staying in Capri 👍🏼
Hotel was very central to Capri town but very quiet. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of space to sit and relax. Breakfast was good. We spent a lovely couple of days here on Capri.
Beautiful views. Nice location. Very comfortable room with cute little kitchen. Highly recommended little boutique hotel. Will stay again if ever get to go back to Capri!
The breakfast was the standout fresh baked pastries, fruit, cereal etc with a lovely aspect out over Capri. Also the communication from the hotel was fast and precise.
