A Fairytale Place

Beautiful spot with plenty to occupy your time for several days. Must sees are the Bled Castle, visit to the Island and a walk around the lake. If walk is too much (around 6 km) there is electric train that will take you for the full or part of that scenic walk. Lake bled exceeded our expectations.
Lake bled exceeded our expectations. We flew into Trieste airport and stayed the first night in Ljubljana which was really beautiful and we took the local bus €8 for 4 of us out to lake bled where we stayed for a further 3 nights there was so much to do and see with amazk g scenery and plenty of walking trails. We did the lap of the lake, climbed to the castle, boat trip to the Island, tour out to vintgar gorge (amazing) we also visited Bohinj Lake again €10 for 4 by bus. There are lots of other activities. If there were direct flights to Ljubljana we would all love to go back.

There are several options to visit. The castle, the lake. So many opprtunities to ski sports, walk in the forests. Waterfall, beautiful lakes not only the Bled one. Wonderful, beautiful. But it was raining all the time, so we couldn´t see everything what we want. The small "island" on lake is perfect. Very recommended. And people are so friendly there....

Amazingly beautiful. So much to see. The boat trip was great. Walk up to castle was tough but so worth it. The blue color of the lake was breathtaking. One if the most beautiful places I have ever been to.

Breakfast was amazing, they legit had everything to choose from, we were so full. It is a lovely family run place, the whole family were lovely and provided recommendations and directions when needed, they also helped my partner when he was sick with food poisoning from the Bled cake at lake bled, they gave us tea and fresh mint, they were so kind. they also had free bike hire! The breakfast was the best we had in Slovenia, you could tell it was prepared with love! The staff was kind and very helpful. I loved that they provided bikes for the guests to use. Location was perfect for exploring Lake Bled, and was quick and easy to access the lake by walking or riding bikes. The breakfast was so good and reach! They took it in our room after our call. The staff was kind, helpful and friendly. The apartment is 5 minutes walking from the lake and have a convenient parking. We had half board and the dinner was 1 minute walk from the apartment. We highly recommend Aparthotel Gaja in Bled!!

The hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub, too, and was within walking distance to the lake and plenty of restaurants.
