FAQs about hotels in Coventry

The Legacy of Legends

Southeast of Birmingham, Coventry is best known for the shell of its old cathedral, a poignant reminder of the damage sustained during World War II. Part of its northern wall joins the new Modernist cathedral, designed by Sir Basil Spence.

In the neighboring gardens, there are remains of an 11th-century Benedictine monastery set up by Lord Leofric. His wife, Lady Godiva, became Coventry’s greatest legend by riding naked on horseback in protest of her husband’s high taxes.

St. Mary’s Guildhall is built on part of the old castle, and Baginton on the city’s outskirts houses the reconstructed Roman Lunt Fort. Coventry Airport is also here, by the Midland Air Museum, where the exhibits include a Vulcan.

The Coventry Transport Museum has great examples of vehicles manufactured in the city over the years. Another point of interest are the canals north of the city's center, lined by historic buildings. Other attractions include the Warwick Arts Centre – the UK’s 2nd largest – and the Ricoh Arena, home of Coventry City FC. The Sky Dome Arena is an ice hockey and music venue, while the best shopping is found in Arena Park Center.

The city has 2 universities and tons of bars and restaurants. There are also several Coventry hotels, guesthouses and country houses on Booking.com, most with parking and some with pools.

This is a very student oriented city - Loads of eateries, curious mix of modern and Victorian/Mediaeval architecture, but above all, a vibrant friendly city. It's not big - your feet will easily cover all the best parts to visit, though the place abounds with buses, should you need them.

Very good staff. The restaurant could have had more choice. The rooms could have had information booklet as not everyone can use the phone app Its a shame the toilet door was soiled. Could have more coffee in the room (normal coffee)

Plenty to see and visit both in Coventry and local areas.

Plenty to see and visit both in Coventry and local areas. We come to watch a local band "Sixties Retro", recommend them to everybody and you can find them on social media. Suitable for young and older generation. We visit the local car museum and Coventry cathedral. The canals are a great place to walk and nearby Bull ring for shopping - what's not to love.

Everything was good: cosy room, fast room service, delicious breakfast (booking in advance at night decreases price). Hotel staff supported in any questions and was pleasant! One moment was location not in the city center (e.g., taxi was needed to go to University), but near to train station Coventry.

Excellent location for exploring Coventry. Lovely rooms furnished to a very high standard. Friendly staff. Good breakfast and good evening meals in the hotel's Forme & Chase Restaurant. Liked the hotel so much, booked a return visit before we even completed this one!

The Hotel is located close the the M6 and M69 at Coventry and is easy to find. It is in a business district and the roads around it lack character. Our room was remote, so it was quiet and it was also roomy.
