Sol Caribe, hotel in Punta Allen

This secluded beachfront resort is located in the Sian Ka’an Nature Reserve, on the Yucatán Peninsula. It offers freshly caught seafood and charming beach huts with a private porch and hammock.

The staff are fantastic, and each time I’ve come it’s like a private island. The restaurant is convenient and there are toys if you have children. Punta Allen is a 20min or so ride south if you’d like to check out the small fishing village.

Villas Roseliz, hotel in Punta Allen

Villas Roseliz is a small family hotel in front of the Caribbean Sea within the Sian Ka`an Biosphere Reserve. The hotel is located in the town of Punta Allen which is 35 mi south of Tulum.

David and Angelica, along with their staff, were wonderful hosts. David took us out on the Boat Tour (look it up!) and was kind and helpful in all ways. His English is good. We had room 1, a nice-sized room with 2 beds, and closest to the beach. Erica keeps the hotel as clean as can be in the humid sea air. You have access to the kitchen, but know that there is not more than a small tienda for groceries. Best of all is the glorious beach at Punta Allen. There is hardly ever anyone on it, it's quiet and peaceful, just sit back and enjoy!

Punta Allen seems to be a virgin place in Mexico.

Punta Allen seems to be a virgin place in Mexico. Not many tourists not many places like restaurants or shops. Its full of sargaso and at the moment properties cant deal with it and many of them are on the beach. But you can have nice excursions to see dolphins at the nature ,we took the fishers boat and went to see dolphins and turtles do some snorkel, kids loved it! But this place is far and the road is not good.

My trip was rescheduled due corona. They ignored all my messages and calls, and stole my money. No even booking.com answers me. I got stolen, and nobody answer, nobody does anything, nobody takes responsability.

The property's serene location, well-kept grounds, and peaceful isolation were absolutely wonderful. The cleanliness of the bed and sheets was impeccable, and we are immensely grateful for the hard work of the cleaners, especially given the circumstances. After falling ill with a stomach bug on the second night of our stay and experiencing multiple episodes of vomiting, their efforts were truly appreciated. We made sure to leave an extra tip as a token of our gratitude. Thank you to the cleaners - you are the true heroes of this hotel!

This place is just fantastic. We got the room number one and heard the waves all night long. The rooms are spacious and clean, there is always hot water. David is super friendly. He organized two tours for us with amazing people (Israel and Francisco) and with them we could enjoy the nature in Punta Allen. Sonja is like a mama, she is always available and prepare the best food whenever we wanted. We enjoyed sitting in the yard with our feet in the sand in complete relax. Hope to go there soon again!

we never got to the property, because what booking doesn’t tell you is that it’s impossible to get there by normal car. you need to either get a 4x4 for the drive (and even then it takes 3.5 hours to drive the bumpy pot-holed road that leaves from Tulum) or schedule a boat which isn’t cheap and takes 2 hours. the hotel is not responsive and even when texting them in Spanish they provided automated Google translate answers that made no sense.

Exceptional destination. The hotel, the location, the environment, the food. This trip was the most beautiful experiences of my life. I travelled there with my mom and daughter. I highly recommend that you get there by boat from Tulum. The boat ride is incredible. Really don't recommend that you go there solely by car. It's the experience of a lifetime but extremely long. The wifi is weak, which is the point. Fell in love with the staff <3

The location is TOP - you have a gorgeous white sand beach right in front of your room and a jungle and lagoon behind you. Gorgeous sunrise. The hotel runs in an eco way and you can enjoy the beauty of simplicity. The room was clean and property well kept, food was good as well. The staff also organized an amazing tour to see dolphins, turtles, bird and other biodiversity of the region, worth seeing!

This is fairly remote and is reached on a 40 km extremely potholed road. So be prepared. The scenery is beautiful. The village of Punta Allen is rustic. Casa Pascale is mostly for sport fishermen but we weren't and enjoyed our time there. It's impeccably clean, the bed was comfortable. There was a good shower. There are beautiful wall paintings of various fish. It's a place with character.

Punta Allen is a real gem of Mexico and what really protects it - that horrible horrible road leading to it. It takes effort and time to get to Sol Caribe but what a beautiful place and location it is - secluded beach, manicured and cared for surroundings and real nature and serenity around. A place to visit and enjoy. A place to enjoy nature.

The location was amazing. Just what we were looking for as a couple that needed a little escape from work. We finally got the chance to completely relax in a beautiful guesthouse with zero stress. The gorgeous views and the lovely people that manage the hotel make the experience exceed expectations. Definitely coming back!
