Location is perfect, practically on campus (West Campus), extremely walkable. Beds are very comfortable, facilities are super clean, coffee is +++++.
The concept of a dorm-type hotel is quite clever and convenient as they don’t cramp the rooms with unnecessary furniture (using raised beds with large storage under). The room decor is simple, but elegant modern. The wine and beer on tap in the lobby, together with the nice decor (can find Cornell finishing touches everywhere) makes it for a very comfortable evening spent in the lobby outside the room.

I liked the personalized treatment, which started from the moment I entered. When I gave my name when checking in, I was greeted with, “Welcome. You’re coming up from Maryland!” The rest of my stay was just as pleasant. It reminded me of the friendly and efficient service that companies like Disney Cruise Line shows their customers. I also want to give a shoutout to the Valet staff—they were always super fast.

Our room was lovely and spacious; the outdoor and indoor spaces were wonderful to sit in; the staff were very helpful and friendly; the bar was fun, served delicious and inventive drinks, and shut down completely by 10:30 but was noisy til then. The location was perfect.

I love exploring what Ithaca and the surrounding area has to offer every time I go to visit family who is going to school in Ithaca. I love outdoor activities and find there is plenty to keep me occupied with hikes, waterfalls, and the lake.

Ithaca was fantastic.
Ithaca was fantastic. I enjoyed shopping but when I got to Country Inn and Suites the pool was defunct and the sofa bed was filthy and unchanged from the previous guest. They would offer no discount for the defunct pool.

Ithica is all about Cornell University.
Ithica is all about Cornell University. Downtown Ithica has a pedestrian area known as The Commons with many shops and restaurants. Ithica is a hilly town with very steep streets. As a result there are two significant and scenic gorges that have hiking trails and waterfalls. The downtown area is flat. Parking on streets and in garages is free on weekends otherwise it is all paid parking. Parking on the Cornell campus is by permit only except in parking garages. The Cornell campus is very scenic. We dined at Collegetown Bagels, Trillium cafeteria on campus, Ithica Brewery, Maru Raman, and Yellow Deli. We enjoyed them all.

It is not the first time I have used this accommodation, although it is an old place, it was always clean, but this time as soon as I entered the room the smell of a dirty bathroom was unbearable. I tried opening windows and turning on the air, but nothing changed, I realized that the toilet was dirty with ease, I had to go ask to change my room and the second room did not smell like the first, but It did need more cleanliness in the bathroom and when I got up I found a cockroach walking around the bathroom. I feel sad can not return to this accommodation because it was very convenient for me, close to my son's school and close to almost everything

Rodeway Inn is nice enough. The room was very clean, spacious, and everything seemed relatively new inside. It's not fancy by any means, but that's why I think the price point is a little high for a roadside motel. That being said, the prices of everything are high these days, so maybe this is just what even lower-end rooms cost now. I would definitely stay there if all of the major hotels in Ithaca are booked. Unlike its sister Choice Hotel properties which I've heard are horrific, Rodeway Inn is pleasant.
The room was fantastic. We had a king one-bedroom suite. There was a galley kitchen (full-size fridge, stove top, dishwasher, sink, dishes, silverware) plus small dining table; we also had a sofa bed, which was perfect for our college-bound son the night(s) he stayed with us. Plenty of room for all of us, especially since we brought our meals back to the room, rather than eating indoors with strangers. Breakfast was pretty standard hotel fare - totally adequate, with sufficient choices.
The GreyHaven is a wonderful place in Ithaca! This is a family run operation and they have renovated all the rooms! The outdoor facilities include Adirondack chairs around several fire pits and there's wood to start a fire too provided with the room. The attention of the owners was wonderful and I cannot express how accommodating they were. We went to Ithaca beer and the owner even offered to pick us up if necessary.
Pick this "motel" for accommodations in Ithaca!!!!
I liked that both the indoor and outdoor pools were open good hours and were clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast was appealing and very tasty. Our son and grandsons joined us for breakfast one morning and the staff was very accomodating. There were a few tour buses overnight one night and the hotel was still fairly quiet. The location was perfect for the event we were attending that weekend.
Location, close to downtown and to Cornell.
The beer taps are a really cool addition. Unfortunately most of the kegs were empty when I was there so all I got was foam but it's a quaint and cool touch. Happy hour prices through the day is a nice feature. It was a super hot day and it's quite a walk to get anywhere so having that option to relax at the hotel with a cold beer is great.
The location is amazing - a gorgeous view of the lake, quiet and peaceful property, nicely landscaped. Our breakfast on the terrace, looking out on the lake was great. Our host was very gracious.
The house has a lot of character, full of interesting things. It might not be for everyone, but definitely more exciting that a standard hotel room.
I liked the fact that the hotel was pet friendly. Being able to travel with our beloved dog on our way to help our youngest son gets settled physically before he engages into his dream of becoming a veterinarian and thus studying at Cornell was invaluable for both the parents and vet student….
i am very impressed by the hotel’s romantic decor, beautiful rooms, the amazing coffee machine, tasty cookies and mostly the super responsive staff. Also loved the cocktails at the bar. It’s THE hotel for my family whenever we visit Ithaca. It truly turns a trip into a vacation!
Good value, Great location to all waterfalls , Cornell University and Ithaca College, can walk to big grocery store across the street. Spacious room with microwave and refrigerator, very friendly staffs. Clean room. Breakfast with fruits.
This location has been our go to hotel while traveling to Ithaca. Our child was a student at Ithaca College. The hotel had great rates when others seemed inflated due to scheduled events at the surrounding schools.
wifi did not work properly, totally unreliable. no hotel/inn/property nowadays deserve anything more than a fair rating if the wifi could not connect properly regardless of how good other elements are.
Clean hotel an room. Easy parking. Room as expected. Breakfast as expected from Holiday Inn. In general I'm preferring to stay in Holiday Inns hotels than other main chains.
the location was wonderful. a few minutes from Ithaca College and a path directly to Buttermilk Falls. food was excellent and the room was very comfortable. slept so well!!
The location was convenient for the main centre of Ithaca, there was plenty of car parking available and the rooms spacious, comfortable and well equipped.
