Compact, modern and clean twin room that had everything we needed for an overnight stay - including the bonus of a fridge, safe and tea/coffee in the room. It was about a 15 minute walk from the bus station when we arrived late in the evening, and a shorter walk into the city the next day. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and we were able to store our luggage for a few hours after checking out to make the most of exploring the city.

For me, Aix-en-Provence is a little bit overrated.
For me, Aix-en-Provence is a little bit overrated. It's nice, but I would not say is really charming. Students are everywhere - and that's nice, they are enjoying bars and adding a good vibe. Other than this, some areas looks dead - maybe is just because the vacation season did not started yet?
Anyway, overall, for me Avignon is better than Aix

Nice city if you can access it.
Nice city if you can access it. We took the local train from Marseille and no taxi showed up for over 45 minutes. We finally walked to the hotel, which wasn't easy after a 3+ hour train ride. Just be prepared ahead with taxi co. phone number...Great town for foodies and drinkers..Three days are plenty. Plan excursions out of town to make the best of the area.

Aix-en-Provence is lovely.
Aix-en-Provence is lovely. Excellent restaurants, shops, marchés, sites and museums. The core of the old town has medieval charm. There a beautiful squares and the Cours Mirabeau Is lined with plane trees, shops and resturants/bars/cafes.
There are a lot of sites to see related to Paul Cézanne. His atelier is worth a visit. Where he painted his beloved Montagne Sainte-Victoire from the Terrain des Peintres.

The city was busy and some streets were to narrow for the car we rented. Some signals were confusing about narrow streets endings!
The hotel was very enjoyable. It was a great opportunity to relax and enjoy nature. We could stay longer.
We had great conversations with Christopher. He went out of his way to make us feel at home. We were able to wash and dried our clothes at no extra cost. He even packed for us some goodies for our trip.

A great place to visit, steeped in history with plenty of restaurants, bars and individual shops in the old town.
Visited Cezanne's studio and soaked up the atmosphere.
Ate amazingly well.........however it appears that the local French have forsaken their own native cuisine for Italian as there are no end of Pizzerias and burger establishments.
Search and you will find. Probably the best filet steak I've had since living in France for the last eight years was at the 'Cafe Grillon'....excellent fare.
Parking is a nightmare and the roads surrounding Aix at peak times are to be avoided.
A brilliant place for a long weekend........leave the car behind as you won't need it whilst there.
If you do take your car, take a trip to Remy de Provence and Cassis. You won't be disappointed.

Good quiet location. It is a cozy little apartment in the outskirts of Aix en Provence . You need a car to get to city center. Not sure of how close was the bus station as I had my own car . The hosts are super friendly and easy to talk to in french or in english.
The place is pretty small but we did not mind as we stayed only 2 nights. It had everything you need : air conditioner, kitchen facilities, TV and so on.
Good accomodation to stay in the morning and enjoy your coffee as you make your day city sightseeing plan.
The location could not be better for us as the train station was right across the street. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and the staff were extremely friendly. The buffet breakfast was more than you get at most hotels and everything was fresh and tasty. Front desk staff and breakfast room staff were exceptional. We will definitely rebook the next time we visit Aix en Provence.
Modern, trendy hotel, with stylish, large, functional, room. Attractive bar / restaurant / lounge / outdoor terrace area. Small (but functional) swimming pool (towels provided). Secure underground parking for reasonable fee (€10 / day). Helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast looked excellent (though we didn't have).
Hotel is within an easy, flat, 10-15 minute walk of the centre of Aix.
The hotel is easy to drive too, just off the autoroute and with good car parking.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and many spoke good English.
The restaurant was good, a short menu but food well prepared and nicely presented. Breakfasts were also very good.
The hotel is about 30 minutes walk from Aix old centre and is also on a bus route into town.
A short drive from the Aix TVG, the hotel had everything we needed for an overnight stay before catching a train the next morning. The room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant was simple but good. I had a very tasty salad with chicken. The fish and chips looked good as well. We will stay here again when we need to take the TGV from Aix.
The location was exceptional and convenient to the historic center of Aix en Provence. Close by you can find most everything you would need - banks, grocery, restaurants, shops. I'm so happy we booked early with all the events happening in AIP and Marseilles (conferences, rugby games) and this was available at an excellent rate.
This is a lovely hotel - so beautifully decorated, in a perfect position - was a pleasure to stay here and I would definitely stay here again if I return to Aix. Our room had a beautiful view and even a little kitchen attached. Wonderful place to stay.
The hotel is located on top of a hill, 20 min by car from Aix en Provence with easy access to highway. The hotel has great sport facilities and very large grounds including a swimming pool. The focus is on sustainability.
A very convenient location, perfect for wandering around Aix. The hotel itself is very attractive with nice period features. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Importantly, the bed had a very nice mattress.
most likely the best hotel in Aix. luxurious an spacious. good breakfast, fun indoor pool (the outdoor pool was closed for the season) ,easily getting by foot to all center attraction of this beautiful town.
La Bastide de Ganay is more a guest house than a Hotel with excellent breakfast, but no lunch or dinner options (best is to drive to Aix).
La Bastide de Ganay has 2 pools and is an extremly relaxing place.
The rooms are super spacious and the hotel is within easy walking distance from Aix-en-Provence. The staff was very helpful in giving advice for places to go and directions. They were always happy to help!
The atmosphere around the hotel, it's very quiet and surrounded with trees and nature. Feels very peaceful, and it's just a 15min drive from Aix-en-Provence. The rooms are clean, spacious and silent!
The hotel is in a great location, the bus stop close by takes you directly into the centre of AIx-en-Provence, the hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff were great. Will definitely stay again.
The location is perfect to visit Aix. There's a big car park in Forum des Cardeurs a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel has a nice terrace on the rooftop.
