It was the touches of hospitality that wowed us. The extra bed was made for our 3 year old daughter and they left a children's book for bed time stories. In the bath room next to our bath robes was a smaller bath robe and slippers just her size. She felt very special wearing this.

We loved the small shops near to the Mentone Hotel for example a second-hand bookshop, what looks like a nice old-fashioned pub (in the best sense), we didn't have time to go in but it was packed on a Monday evening in early March. And we loved especially the Lebanese bakery which was so authentic with a proper oven to fire flat-bread and it was not expensive at all. And there are many interesting buildings in the whole surrounding area, if only we had had time to explore them!

Whatch out when in tourist areas, my friend's phone was snatched right out of her hand! Thieves, often on motorcycles, grab phones and vanish in seconds. Avoid using your phone while walking or standing near the road, and watch out for approaching bikes. Stay alert—it happens fast!

Great city which has it all, nice relaxing quiet parks (Regent's and St. James) lots of culture (Buckinghame palace, Big Ben, St. Pauls) and also shopping possibilities (Harrods, Oxford/Regent street, Leiscester square and surroundings, Westfield). Prepare for some walking although public transport is working great. Underground brings you everywere very quick, but the busses also work well (if traffic is not to busy) with a bonus of getting a view on the city.

Public transport is great, the metro takes you everywhere.

Public transport is great, the metro takes you everywhere. The art scene is great, almost all museums are free, there are many art piece to see in person. The restaurants are confusing though, they force a 12.5% service charge on your bill, which is annoying, especially since they don't offer anything extra.

London is an exciting city with so much to offer. I love the arts so thoroughly spoilt with the excellent theatre, concerts, galleries both commercial and public and museums. Wonderful. Also great cuisine. Everything from fine dining to bistro to excellent traditional British fare. Paris eat your heart out. London has not just met French standards but surpassed,

The hotel was very clean and modern, a great location and very cheap for London! Reception staff were friendly. The room size is similar to a premier inn hub, with a spacious bathroom, a kettle, hairdryer, coffee machine etc all included. Paid around £40 pp for a night which, for right next to Hyde Park, was excellent.

We were in the travel business for 40 years and have stayed and inspected hundreds of holiday apartments . This is equal to , maybe better, than many of the top apart- hotels in London or elsewhere. The photos in the website were accurate. And very quiet.

Well priced for a London hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was good. There was only one office-type chair to sit on. They kindly stored my luggage after checkout.
