We staid for the weekend. It was so good, with the snow. Durbuy center is very small and you can go through it in half a day or 1 day even. Although if you like walks in the nature and other activities, like horse riding or kayaking, it is nice to enjoy even more, on a long weekend or so. Very beautiful ancient town with a castle. It was lovely to walk through the winding streets looking at the old shops selling local produce. Durbuy is a wonderful town in a UNESCO global geopark region that’s well worth visiting. With a good mix of both old historic and sympathetically added modern properties it’s very much a tourist hot spot. A little medieval village from the XIV century,...
A little medieval village from the XIV century, representative of the area, laid down in a valley on the river bank. A picturesque view of a river, rocks, and a castle. It is called the smallest city that exists as its rights were gained in 1333 and the street structure with the layout dates from then. What makes an impression is that all the houses are built from stones with thick walls and small windows. There are many good restaurants and nicely located terrasse to sit and relax at good food or coffee.

Very easy way to get our key from the lock box and 10 min. access to Durbuy and local supermarkets. Our host Kitty had prepared a nice welcome present - a red wine bottle and some snacks.

The room was spacious, with a smaller separate bedroom/living with an extra bed for our child. Breakfast was also pleasant. There is also a restaurant on the ground floor that seems to be very popular. It was full in evening. We haven't tried it, though. Probably another time...

The house was very spacious and well equipped with everything that you could possible you need. There is a super market in a 4km distance from the site, for some food supplies. Clear check-in and check-out rules, plus garbage bins to get rid of your trash bags at the end of your stay.
