We really liked the peace and quietness of the place. We definitely needed that after the ruff start that we had for this year. And there's no tv in the room...we loved it...no distraction.

Surrounded by stunning landscape, this lodge is located between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay and offers travelers a tranquil retreat along the Garden Route. Guests are accommodated in spacious, self-contained studio units with kitchenette, partially private patio and a deck. Free wifi available in all the units and communal areas.Fireplaces in the communal lounge and dining areas make it cozy in winter! Apart from the kitchenette in each unit, there is also a large, fully equipped kitchen next to the bbq facilities for guest use (six gas burners, microwave, electric stove with full size oven, dishwasher, washing machine and 4 basins). For an additional payment, guests can enjoy a substantial Farm or Continental breakfast in the traditional lapa and take in the panoramic views. In addition, private and communal barbecue facilities are available, and there is a lounge with DSTV and fireplace and breakfast/dining room. The lounge leads onto the patio deck with solar heated splash pool, offering views across the 1.7 mi² farm. Protea Wilds Retreat enjoys far-reaching views, and provides plenty of activities, such as mountain bike routes and gourmet picnics. Wine tasting. and quad biking are offered nearby. In addition to the 6 studio units, there is also a 3 bedroom house with private pool and bbq facilities at another location on the property. Completely private, family accommodations. Wifi, satelite smart tv, fireplace, patio. Infinite views.
