The breakfast was great! Fruit, yogurt and cereals are available as well as the standard Irish Breakfast along with coffee or tea. The entire establishment is elegant, exceptionally well-maintained and clean. And Phil is an absolute treasure; she was helpful and sweet. She made you feel at home. A bonus was the excellent free WiFi!

Staff were helpful and friendly. Bar was comfortable and breakfast was amazing. Kathy on breakfast had been so welcoming and nothing was an issue, she helped me with a takeaway for breakfast as I had to leave for the day when breakfast was just open. We had dinner the first night in bar area which was extremely tasty.

A classy hotel with excellent facilities and food but what makes this hotel is the staff, they are a real credit to the place. Professional, efficient and friendly, they're as good as it gets.

Nile and Sean were the best!
I got a very welcoming reception and a lovely farewell from the staff before going back to hiking the Wicklow Way.
The best b & b for hikers!
Oh, and there's a pub downstairs🤩
It was only an overnight stay. Saturday to Sunday
So late arrival on Saturday meant most place had closed.
The Riverside Bar and Grill just a stone's throw from the Cody Lodge.
with its excellent rooms was open.
The Riverside Bar and Grill has excellent food and a menu to suit all tastes.
You will feel at home here because it is how the staff and owners will make you feel. Serving some excellent what I call real man food. Recommend the roast beef. Don't worry Michelle will look after you.
Michael that be Michael Kehoe the captain of this fine ship. Is a pure gentleman and as down to earth as they come. He will go out of his way to make your stay memorable.
Then on top of all that there is live music several nights a week.
You just cannot go wrong it has everything you could possibly want.
I had to depart Bunclody early on Sunday morning. But if the service and welcome received in The Riverside Bar and Grill is anything to go by. You will be in for a pleasant surprise in what could be one of Irelands best kept secret's.

Inland rural busy village, lots of life and activity on main street. Shops and facilities walking distance. Friendly locals, River Slany never too far away. Maybe not a tourism heavy hitter, but all the better for that. Beautiful countryside nearby in every direction.

Alas, it was raining hard when we were in Bunclody so most of the nearby attractions were off limits unless to seals! But Phil, our delightful hostess at Meadowside B & B, told us best local places to eat and drink, and offered lots of background information. We could not recommend this residence more, and in summer it must be a joy.

Lovely town with great selection of places to eat.
Lovely town with great selection of places to eat. Locals very friendly & willing to help out. Beware though as on Monday not all restaurants or bars were open, a little research will help with that.
We were in Berna's Cottage for nearly 2 weeks and from the moment we entered the cottage it felt like home.
The Cottage is cosy and perfect in every way.
Cathy and Paul are perfect hosts and give you the feeling of a warm welcome when you arrive.
The view from breakfast/Diner room is stunning and nice to start your day with.(and ofcourse the rest of the day)
Bunclody is a lovely town with all needed for all that visit Berna's Cottage.
Thanks for the perfect stay at your cottage.

Phil is such a warm and kind host. The property is spotless clean, beautifully furnished and maintained.
The delicious breakfast included a variety of options. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Meadowside. There is plenty to see and do around Bunclody. Every blessing to Phil, many thanks for making our stay so enjoyable 😊 Rachael and Ralph xo
Rooms were very clean and spacious and had everything needed for a short stay. Its not a hotel so staff are not available 24 hours but left their number in case we needed anything. Highly recomnended.
The only suggestion i might have that it might be useful to have a vending machine for late night snacks, alternative coffee options etc.
It's a very modern boutique Hotel. Price per room is reasonable. The bed was very comfy and clean. Option of additional breakfast menu from a café across the street. Charlie is a phone call away when away from his desk. Reception manned in mornings and afternoon. Otherwise keycards plus instructions are left on the front desk.
This was the perfect place for the end of our Wicklow Way adventure. A welcoming traditional b and b with Phil as a friendly and helpful hostess. The room was beautifully furnished and we really appreciated our full Irish breakfast. The house was situated in the middle of Bunclody, a nice village with plenty of amenities.
Charlie was a wonderful host. He was very accommodating. The rooms are spacious, very clean, modern & comfortable. Complimentary water, tea/coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits in each room. While there is no onsite bar or restaurant, everything you could possibly need is just a few steps away. Excellent central location.
We arrived with the warmest welcome , the property is beautiful and absolutely spotless, very comfy beds and a lovely breakfast. We will most definitely be staying here next year when my son's racing again down in Wexford , I honestly couldn't recommend a better place to stay
Modernized hotel. Rooms were very comfortable and relaxing. Bunclody is a wonderful little town. Charlie was so knowledgeable and helpful. He shared a lot of history and fun facts about the town . Parking was very easy. I had a window view of the city which I really enjoyed.

Cathy & Paul were excellent hosts. They were vey accommodating with all of our requests. Regarding the accommodation itself, it was one of a kind. A newly built house that was very comfortable, clean, spacious and bright. I would totally recommend staying there.
The cottage was beautiful and Cathy made sure we settled in and had everything we needed. The breakfast was a delicious fry with fruit bowl, coffee, tea and was better than many breakfasts I've had in hotels. The location is great too.
Fabulous accommodation, akin to a very high standard hotel. Excellent value and great location. The proprietor, Charlie, is a gentleman. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Bunclody or the surrounding area.
