This hotel has everything - fantastic location on the banks of the Mekong River, good well designed airy building, swimming pool, great views from nice dining room and terrace, great breakfast, lovely kind staff, comfortable bed room and everything sparkling clean.
Located in Chiang Saen, 5.8 miles from Golden Triangle Park Hall Of Opium, Honey Hotel Chiang Saen provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge.
One night stay is too short. Love the area's history, access to river boat rides, Laos market and casino. Can do many activities or just lounge/dine at the riverfront hotels and restaurants. I prefer the Opium Hall vs. the museum, the 'skinny, fast boat' river ride with 45 minute stop at the Laos market is fun at bargain price of 500 baht from the quiet & professional vendor on left side at the immigration area. Avoid the loud vendor on the right. Easy drive northwest to VIEW the bridge crossing into Myanmar and visit the Mae Sai/Tachileik market. Do NOT cross the border unless you have a Myanmar visa are going to visit there for several nights as it will likely invalidate any Thai visa you may have. Parking can be a 'challenge' in the area near the crossing.

The hotel is nice but very dated but very clean, the restaurant was ok with a nice view over the golden triangle there is a lovely swimming pool in the grounds for a place to relax and unwind five minute walk takes you to the main part of the tourist area were boat trips and many coach trips arrive through the day, the opium museum is worth a visit as is the temple on the hill for a high view over Myanmar and Laos.
Excelent position above the river, great view. Very well maintained, clean, very kind personel. Large swimming pool.
The place (a few houses and about three hotels) is isolated but a great stop.during a river tour.
This is a resort that exceeds expectations - a surprise in such a remote location.

The location is excellent for the Golden Triangle town. It's a short walk to the Mekong and the Triangle and just across the road from the Museum on the Opium Trade. The room was comfortable and of a good size, if a little dated and in need of a spruce.
Location is perfect. The view was beautiful. You can even see the Mekong River while laying in bed. Wats, Food stalls and restaurants are within walking distance. You’ll find a 7-Eleven just next to the hotel.
Our rooms faced Mekong River and the view is fantastic. Seven-Eleven convenient store is right next to the hotel. Great location which is located at the Golden Triangle tourist spot.
