I am a foreign resident of Wuhan, and as it is such a big city, going for a one-night staycation is popular with foreigners in Wuhan and throughout China. There is plenty to see in Wuhan. The Optics Valley area is developing rapidly and has mixed urban and rural developments for leisure; there are many Taoist and Buddist temples worth visiting and walking around the old Concession area, and walking around the many lakes and riverside trails is popular, especially East Lake. It isn't Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Shenzhen, or Guangzhou, to name a few. Wuhan is a real blend of many well-known China cities. A long weekend is strongly recommended. Covid gave the city a very undeserved reputation but life has moved on come and visit, it'll be worth it.

East Lake is fabulous. I love the green road.
East Lake is fabulous. I love the green road. I biked all day -- no cars on this road. There are many top universities not far from East Lake. On another trip, I visited a famous temple which was quite interesting. I can't speak for the west side of the city. Didn't spend much time there.

Wuhan as a city is very impressive , But there is a lot to see if you plan your journey properly . i would read up on the area because you do not get much help from the local residents or Taxis .
There is many Provinces within Wuhan .
Please note , if you suffer with chest problems the air quality is like in London on a bad day.
I went in November and the temperature was 25c warm but due to the air quality you did not feel it.

Three very different parts to the city - Wuchang, Hangyan and Hankou. We visited each and really liked Wuchang for the East Lake and leafy green areas. Hangyan features long walks and parks by the Yangtze, which is recommended. Hankou is mostly new commercial areas. Subway system is very clean, very cheap and very efficient and easy to use! probably best way to get around Wuhan!
The location is outstanding along the Yangtze river, in the old British/French/Russian concessions of Wuhan. There is a nice pedestrian area nearby, with a lot of cafes and small shops. From the hotel it is easy to travel by taxi to the main attractions.
If possible, pick a room with a view on the river side, the night light show is fantastic.
The breakfast is really offering a lot of choice, for all tastes.
excellent staff and service! Everyone (concierge, kitchen staff, house keeping ladies, gym front desk etc.) was super friendly and helpful whenever I have questions or needed something. The breakfast was delicious and offers traditional Wuhan food! The room is nice and clean and spacious. The unit had dishwasher and laundry which makes it extra homey and comfortable!
Inexpensive hotel (199 yuan, currently less than 30 Euros) for a large, nice room, with air conditioning, two beds, fully equipped (including sleepers, tooothbrush and comb, which apparently is thebrule in China). Rooms are very nice. The staff does not speak english at all, but they arebvery nice and at the end they manage to communicate with guests
It is better than my expectations despite the pricey charge, ideal location, spacious executive room with decent bathroom , impressive view of Han Street and very nice reading table and chair, my husband’s favorite.
Staff are very accommodating and professional, the best service in China, in my opinion.
Hotel location is very convenient just around the main walking street. A lot of shops and restaurants nearby. Easy Taxi ride to the main attractions. Got a free room upgrade with nice view. Room was very large with big window.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Great stay in Wuhan! As of October 2021, they are still accepting travelers who foreign passport holders and since they didn't have too many guests, they let me choose the room I wanted. Conveniently located 30 seconds away from a metro stop.
There is a metro station just at the gate of the hotel, and besides the hotel is a commercial street where there are a lot of restaurants .
The room is large and clean, the gym is nice and there are nice buffet inside.
Very friendly staffs, from lobby, front desk; to room cleaners, everybody are willing to help.
The public transport system are so convenient near the hotel, you can get to almost anywhere from there.
I stayed for a total of five days. During the first three days, I had a positive experience with the front desk staff and the hotel manager, who were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable.
I wasnt accepted they dont want foreigners and i texted booking .com and they was no reply ,,, you people confirm with chinese hotels if they want foreigners ,, i wasted my money to travel there .
It was a nice hotel at the river side and close to Wuhan Bridge.
All staff were polite and helpful during checking in and out. Also like the location near Hanyang Street and Huanghelou.
It is an excelente hotel in Wuhan. The beauty of interior design, the cuban music at night in the bar, the generosity of staff, the amazing and complete breakfast.
Quiet comfortable old style hotel, with large rooms.
Close to metro station gives easy access to airport or high speed train station and all of Wuhan attractions
The staffs are very friendly and the service is excellent. The room is very clean and comfortable. The foods in the hotel are delicious and worth the money.
