The lobby and breakfast areas were very nice. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower had good hot water. The breakfast had a nice selection of fruit and other breakfast foods. We arrived in Puno early on the bus, and our tour wanted to pick us up at our hotel. We were booked at the hotel for the next night, but the hotel welcomed us in, let us hang out in the lobby, for 3 hours, let us eat breakfast (we paid 15 soles), and then stored our luggage for us until we returned the next day! They were so nice!

Puno is a great city. I like the view on the lake and the Uros/Taquile Islands. I would go back in a heart beat.
The city itself is easy to access but due to higher elevation, I could only walk very short distances before being tired.

It is worth going to the lake in Puno since it is the highest navigable lake in the world and is also unique because of the islands made of reed. It was interesting seeing the lifestyles of the people living on these lakes. The food served as part of the tour was good, but getting to the restaurant was challenging since the climb up to the restaurant was quite steep. The overall experience was very good.

Access to Lake Titicaca, Uros, Amantani & Taquile islands.
Access to Lake Titicaca, Uros, Amantani & Taquile islands. The city itself is not very interesting, nice main square with a cathedral and few goods restaurants (Mojsa at the bottom of the Main square was really excellent, full of international travelers...). Did not have much time to climb on the nearby hills to have a panoramic view of the Puno & Titicaca. Spent two-day / one-night trip to Uros / Amantani / Taquile islands (overnight at Amantani with a local family), very interesting and very down-to-earth, but we all enjoyed the boat trip, Uros, dancing in local costumes & sunset from the top of Amantani (made it with our 8-year old daughter), as well as the next day at Taquile island. The following night we spent at Uros with Felix (Uros Amaru Marka Lodge) was excellent !

We wanted to come for the cultural experiences of the uro peoples but we saw a people who are abusing tourism to live. We were overcharged at every occurrence from transportation, housing, souvenirs, food etc. It left a bad taste in our mouths. We wish we would have spent time in other places in Peru.

Keep in mind that Puno, the town itself, is small. They don't have the artensans or activities that other large towns like Cuzco may have, so if you don't care to visit the floating islands of Uros, you may not want to make the trip.

It was twixt Xmas & new Year. Even so the place was buzzing.
It was twixt Xmas & new Year. Even so the place was buzzing. Markets galore and very well priced. Food was vaery nice in the restuarants.
Dont forget your ina toursit trap and it becomes more apparent as and if you go to the Uros islands. You will not be allowed tp leave until they have rinsed you of every penny they can get out of you -with minimal effort.
There is so much potential to do a lot more but I think the islanders have become lazy and just want to sell you trinkets which in all honesty are mass produced. The guide said they get most if not all oof their income from tourists. I can understand that, but at least make it entertaining rather than a tired old roadshow where they roll out the same thing time after time.
There is a nice promenade along the front with lots of wildlife.
Hope you enjoy.
Happy trails
Issac had great communication from the start and provided very easy instructions to and from Puno. We took a local taxi to the port as there was no Uber and the boat ride which is amazing was about 20 min. For an additional cost we opted for an amazing dinner brought to our room. Our fav was the bed which was the comfiest in all of Peru with a king size mattress. Sunset views are spectacular and the serene calm of the lake was an experience. Thank you to Issac and his family for all their hospitality and very warm welcome and goodbye.
Nice room, neat and clean with hot shower as well garderobe with hanger in the room.
The owner Oscar is very friendly and speaks English. And the breakfast serve at the rooftop where you have the amazing views of Puno and the lake.
The hotel location is just 5 minutes walk to Plaza de Armas. The free wifi works excellent without disruption and they also offer tours to Lake Titicaca. Tea is 24 hours available on the hotel lobby. So for the price it is worthy! No doubts.
A great modern property in a nice location in Puno. The beds are large and comfortable with a good hot shower. The also provide you with a heater, which is a blessing in the cold weather. The included breakfast is the best I’ve had so far of any hotel. The staff are super friendly and there is a lavenderia on site which is so convenient. They also organise all the tours for you of Lake Titicaca at a good price. Highly recommended!
What an unusual hotel, which was perfect for me. As always, the staff were so helpful, and the breakfast delicious. There are unusual decorations, and it feels really like “old Peru” to stay there. I would definitely return.
I hope the very helpful teenager is enjoying my Jacket I left behind deliberately! And gratefully.
Lovely wake-up knock, and delicious breakfast.
Nestor was an amazing host. Super nice. The fresh trout dinner was delicious. Was a very unique experience and we got to learn a lot about the Los Uros islands and the history/culture. Pick up from Puno was easy to arrange. He also helped us organize other tours. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a homestay on Lake Titicaca. Gracias Nestor!!
• very well located, close to main square and streets.
• reception is English speaking which is rare in Peru :)
• breakfast is served in a nice room with view (6th floor) and offers choices of fruits, juice, coffee/hot water, eggs cooked for you.
• we booked the triple room and we had a balcony.
• a towel to clean your shoes & travel items is provided.
We came to relax for one night and we could not have wished for a better stay. The room was really nice, had wonderful view and the breakfast was by far the best we've had in Peru. I definitely recommend using the transfer the hosts offer as it is reliable, you get to see the surroundings and it is not expensive at all.
A good location hotel in the center of Puno with very comfortable beds, quiet & clean rooms. The bathroom included shower was perfect with hot water. Breakfast was amazing! The staff was friendly and always helpful!
We had amazing family holidays there!
Hope to return to Puno and this hotel again.
The view from this hotel is absolutely amazing. Really stunning. It was so gorgeous to wake up to see the sun shining over Lake Titicaca from my bed. The hostess is one of the sweetest, most heart-felt people I have ever met. This hotel is extraordinary and made my stay in Puno worth it.
It’s an extremely beautiful hotel, a very nice place to stay and enjoy lake Titicaca. The owner of this hotel and his family are very nice and helpful. Although it is chilly outside, they keep us comfortable inside. They also assist to arrange transportation for us.
Perfect stay, the best on my Peru trip. Let me check in early morning when I arrived by night bus from Cusco. Booked Lake Titicaca tour and Juliaca airport transport at a very reasonable cost. Hot water available. Amazing breakfast for only 10 sols.
We stayed just one night and this hotel offered just what we needed. Friendly staff, basic but clean and comfortable room just a few minutes walk from Puno main square, good breakfast. All for a very good price.
Very friendly and helpful staff, Ronald organized some tours for us. He was always available and even offered to bring us to the bus station in his private car.
The shower was the best we had in Peru.
This is a wonderful hostel. Very clean, beds very comfortable, employees very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast is the best I've had in all of Peru. I really recommend this hostel.
