We liked everything about our stay in Bayon Modern Residence. Our family of 4 had a huge room with 3 spacious beds, and we slept so well. We practically had the pool for ourselves every afternoon after exploring around the area. Perfect to cool off!
We also loved all the food we tried (room service, or by the pool). Breakfast was always fresh (we loved having fresh fruit every morning). The hotel has various options for tours available in the area, and they were great. We also used their laundry service. Everyone was so kind and wonderful.

This hotel just a short distance from the town center. Spacious and comfortable rooms, with a gracious and helpful staff. Convenient access to the Old Market, whether by walking, tuk-tuk, or bicycle. Good providing tour Angkor wat temples and other tours beside the temples such as Kompong Pluk. this hotel was good but wifi was a bit slow sometimes.

The highlight of our holiday , so much to do . Very easy to get round by Tuk Tuk. Angkor Wat temple complex amazing but don't just visit the main temples on the small circuit itinerary , visit the large circuit and Roulos Temples on the way to the stilt houses at Tonle Sap Lake. Local circus, main city museum and landmine rats also a must .We were here for eight days but could of stopped longer. Lovely and lively downtown area with great pagodas, local market and brilliant choice of restaurants and shops.

Siem Reap was surprisingly pleasant.
Siem Reap was surprisingly pleasant. I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to have a lot of life, to be clean, and with quite high end hotels, restaurants and nightlife.
The only big drawback is the money. Cambodia has its own currency, but it's one of those currencies where you get wads of notes that are worth only pennies. The USD is the 'parallel' currency, and almost everything is priced in USD. This seemed to me to have the effect of importing US prices for everything. Cambodia is the most expensive Asian country I've been to. The other drawback in this USD money system is they are all terrified of counterfeit. So much so that they scrutinise every USD note you offer them in payment, and if it has the slightest mark, fold, tear, or scuff, they refuse to take it! Most places accept VISA Cards, but I've been scammed before in other Asian countries on my cards so I'm wary of using them. The ATMs are ridiculous too - minimum 100USD withdrawals, and a 5USD charge per withdrawal. Good luck!

Charming small city with lovely surprises.
Charming small city with lovely surprises. Angkor Wat is the top prize but I also enjoyed the Artisans workshops- silk & handcrafts. The streets are cleaner than other cities, and the pavements even. Best of all are the people - sweet, accommodating, polite and enterprising and so proud of their city and country which has been through so much. A joy to be here!

We have been coming to Siem Reap for over 10 years and there is always something new or different to find other than temples, which we keep revisiting anyway because they are so awesome. The best though has to be the people, they are so friendly and helpful and always make you feel happy and make our trips so memorable because of them.

You need 3 full days to see Siem Reap but then you have just scratched the surface. Get a licensed guide as they are more knowledgeable. Start early in the morning and quit in the early afternoon. Forget sunrise and sunset; there are just too many people. Favorite temple is Banteay Samre (1200); has a terrace with lions. Was restored by the French.
You can get around by tuk-tuk or private car. Don't join a group.

Such a beautiful place!
Such a beautiful place! Really welcoming and such friendly people. Highly recommend People by The Community and The Elephant as places to stay. Really easy to get around and see the sights with a tuk tuk. Amazing food! Especially enjoyed Tevy's, Haven, Banlle Vegetarian Restaurant, Peace Cafe, Miss Wong's and the street food in the night market. Also really enjoyed a bike tour of local farms and communities with Siem Reaper. I really wish we had more time there!

The hotel was very central in Siem Reap, particularly near Pub Street.
They have a lovely pool and sky bar with Happy Hour (4-7 pm if I remember correctly).
The room was great with a nice big bed and shower but most importantly clean.
The staff was so polite, always with a smile and always willing to help. They even packed me breakfast when I had an early tour. Special thank you to Neardey for being so kind and helpful.
The hotel is located in the center of Siem Reap, near Pub Street and a lot of spas and restaurants, yet it is very quiet.
The pool is big enough to even spend a relaxing day there, a lot of plants create a nice atmosphere.
Mr. Phy and all of his colleagues were very kind and helpful, a problem regarding the door of our room was fixed within five minutes.
The hotel exactly looks like as on the pictures. Big friendly room, tropical garden with swimming pool and a bar, only few minutes walk away from the city center. We rented scooter on the same street so it was easy to discover Angkor and the surrounding of Siem Reap (for example floating village.)
The staff was very friendly and attentive, just like a luxury hotel. The rooms were clean and if I come back to Siem Reap I would definitely stay here again.
