FAQs about hotels in Bangkok

Something for Everyone in Bangkok

Bangkok never sleeps, or so you might think as you fly into Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From luxurious mega malls like MBK and Siam Discovery in Siam Square to the famous Khao San Road in the Banglamphu district, this hard working city is packed with commerce, fiery food and soothing temples.

Catch a boat up river on the Chao Phraya Express or discover different neighborhoods on the blissfully air-conditioned BTS Skytrain. A taxi or exhilarating tuk-tuk ride is never far away from the big attractions, which include Chinatown, Jim Thompson House and the floating markets at Damnoen Saduak.

To step out of the frenetic energy of street food stalls, amulet markets and the sizzling temperatures, discover an oasis of calm in one of the many Buddhist temples. Be awed by the majesty of the Grand Palace and marvel at the world’s longest reclining Buddha at Wat Pho. While you’re there why not relax even more with a traditional Thai massage?

From the sky-scraping luxury hotels with world famous rooftop bars to a cheap hostel bed in the center of town, Booking.com will help you explore all that Bangkok has to offer.

The temperature was hot but expected with rain for a while mostly at night but it is the rainy season and anyway the rain clears and because of the heat the place dries up quickly. The location I stayed at was just adequate but cheap and I only got what I paid for. The people are so polite and helpful and always seem to be in good form and smiling a lot. Most of the street signs are in English as well as thai but if you loose your way there is almost always someone in a shop or even on the street who will gladly help you with directions in fair English. I love Bangkok. The ladies are so petite and beautiful

Great city. Hot and rainy in May/June. The buses are not easy to learn how to get on. The fastest way to get around is by train or bike. Traffic is mad. Overall, it is a great city with lots of food and things to do as a tourist.

a city with the blend of everything where you can get a taste of culture, tradition, & their nightlife and it doesn't break the bank. This city is backpackers friendly its one of those city where you can walk alone and nobody bothers you. Walked throughout the city alone past midnight and it felt safe. But bare in mind that it's a city full of tourist so there are many tourist traps so be smart to avoid them else you'll be wasting money

It is a wonderful city, with very friendly people.

It is a wonderful city, with very friendly people. Lots of temples, contrasts (jungle, jungle canals, and in another neighborhood imposing skyscrapers, luxurious hotels and giant malls). Transportation is not so good, the tuk-tuk are fast but you have to bargain (for those of us who do not like bargaining is not highly recommended) and also a vehicle too noisy and that exposes you to the pollution of a busy street. The food is excellent and varied, with restaurants of all kinds. Convenience stores everywhere are well equipped with everything you need. Excellent atmosphere 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, there are always places open.

Bangkok is a vibrant city with diverse food and a rich culture, friendly people and things were reasonably cheap we found. The ferry was much more convenient than taking the bus. We wished we could have stayed longer.... The temples and palaces are a must see, even if you aren't religious. Pad Thai and freshly made juices were simply heavenly.

This was the second call at this hotel during our three weeks holiday in Thailand. When we came back to the hotel after one week of absence, all the hotel staff remembered us and welcomed us which brought us a very warm feeling. This hotel is located in the busy area of the city but it is very quiet in the room and in the beautiful garden and swimming pool area. This hotel is a hidden gem in Bangkok. If we have a chance to visit Bangkok again in future, we would not search for any other hotels but definitely stay at this hotel.

This hotel has fully met my expectations for its US50 per night in terms of its proximity to the office, cleaniness and amenities, services and variety of food for the breakfast. I asked for an iron and they have provided it. There are swimming pool, massage spa in the hotel and tuktuk for its customers. Around four or five 7/11 supermarkets nearby. Those who want to see Bangkok's night life there is a vibrant road (forgot its name) full of restaurants, cafe, disco bar, and massage spar within 10 min walk.

The location is good for exploring Bangkok, walking distance from Khao San Road but far enough away that it's not busy. The staff are very friendly (they don't speak much English but communication wasn't an issue). Hotel offers several services including laundry, airport shuttle and cafe. Felt safe and secure with key card activated door to the building and was good for price we paid. Rooms are all upstairs with no lift, not an issue for us but some might want to be aware of this.

Relatively peaceful and quiet area of Bangkok, 5 min walk from airport rail link and Phaya Thai bts station. Excellent reception, staff. Breakfast was not the same everyday (always slightly different). Large clean rooms and sound proof too (unlike some hotels where you can hear what your neighbour is doing - like having a shower. You could even get your room cleaned almost immediately by calling guest services. Great ambiance. Truly 5 stars!

The bed was super comfy! Slept like a baby, not so much noise from outside, and everything was quiet in the hotel. Free water is great! No restaurant in the hotel, but a 7-Eleven just outside was enough for breakfast and some street food was also outside the hotel. Close to Pratunam and all shopping. To get to and from airport was easy by train with station just cross the street. For my trip to Bangkok this time was this hotel perfect.

This is an older hotel that has been well maintained, which I suppose allows them to charge a more value driven rate. The room was newly renovated an huge for the price. We were there for a whole month and loved it. The main pool is huge and has an awesome view of sunset and old Bamgkok. We have stayed in Bangkok many many times and know what is on offer elsewhere very well having stayed at many luxury and long stay hotels.

Having now stayed at The Centre Point, Sukhumvit on a number of occasions, so much so that we now call it our home from home in Bangkok. We find the hotel to not only be convenient in all aspects of location etc. but also very fairly priced in comparison to other similar hotels. Exhalent sleeping arrangement for two adults and a three year old child. Without doubt we will be rebooking on our next trip to Bangkok.
