It’s like individual apartments, beautifully decorated . They had to replace everything because of the hurricane & they didnt scrimp on anything ! They provide coffee, beach chairs, beach towels, & umbrellas. Appliances are all new &are “top-notch”.
The manager, Christine, is super & makes you feel like family. We met the owner & she was especially nice also…hands on & very caring. The pool is really nice, although we didn’t get to use it this time because they were having the numbers right.
I could write a lot more positive feedback but I had my right shoul der replaced & it’s hard trying to write or type.

Good location for our purposes. We were on the island primarily to make visits to our condo that is being reconstructed after Hurricane Ian. Brought our daughter and her dog along to give them a break, as they usually spend the winter on the island with us. It was great to be able to bring the dog with no extra fees, and the location on the island suited us well - easy walk to the beach and to some of the stores/restaurants on Periwinkle. Also, with all the miserable traffic during the week, being that close to the causeway helped us get off the island more easily when we needed to go off.

We will definitely be going back every chance we get!! 🩵we actually got groceries and ate at the cottage, more traffic than u can imagine around 3-5 at main intersection but they have that covered with a traffic patrol !

Sanibel is still a great place to vacation.
Sanibel is still a great place to vacation. Although it is heartbreaking to see all the damage from the hurricane, it's still a great option. We've been going to Sanibel for about 8 years and it's our happy place. We can't wait for the island to renew itself.

Sanibel is a beautiful island, so relaxing as soon as you get there! The island is so well maintained and driving is easy.
The cycle paths are fantastic too and my preferred way of exploring the island.
Lots of accommodation and restaurant choices.
Plenty of wildlife to see and it is superb for shelling. I only spent 3 nights here but I wish I could have stayed longer. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a relaxing beach holiday. I hope to return one day!
Wie always choose this hotel on Sanibel: Awesome beautiful place and houses, built and decorated with much love, utilities for shelling on site (a washplace for shells is outstanding!), own grassland with showers and hammrock, directly behind the beach, quiet location, bar (Crazy Flamingo) reachable by foot and the staff is really nice! An 0815 ibis hotel room in a concrete building you can have everywhere, but this nice cottages are extraordinary!
First impression was not great- exterior looks like an old motel. But the room was nice, clean, large and exactly as advertised. Beach access is across the street and down a path, a bit of a walk but fine. Even the condos "on the beach" were in fact set quite a ways back. It is on a road parallel to the main road, which was a great location to avoid the very heavy traffic on the main road.
This resort was one of the few now opened 15 months after Hurricane Ian. There was nothing at all wrong with the facility; it was just not the cottage like facility we had patronized for the previous 27 years. Our “resort” was the Castaways. Hurricane Ian removed that completely from existence. Sanibel island Beach Resort is a hotel with direct access to the beach.
From our room on to the beach in less than 5 minutes walking. Gorgeous beach with sooo many seashells to collect. Children loved the main pool and the ice cream shop within the hotel. Amazing assistance at the hotel. We had a wifi connection problem and the engineer came to our room at 10 pm to help us fix it.
Located on the beach. Old Florida Charm. Large property. Easy free parking. Ice Machines. Plenty of towels. Clean linens. We appreciated the warnings about using bug repellent to avoid attack by no-see-ums. We appreciated the shell bag provided for free as well as beach towels & lounge chairs.
Very quiete place. The room is big, and we appreciate the balcony. We appreciate the bikes (but had some difficulties to find 4, at least we only had to go to the beacher next hotel and there we found a lot). Good breakfast. The beach just in front of the hotel is so nice
we loved our stay- we had had another night elsewhere on Sanibel which was more than double the price with appealing customer service. We were checked in early and were given a personal tour - it felt that nothing was too much trouble! we loved the wildlife area too
The location of the hotel, along with the grounds and the pool are absolutely lovely! Although small the room had a fridge, microwave and they were also able to accommodate our request for a toaster. Bathroom is a great size just needs updating
I like what the hotel did to improve the pool environment and access to the beach. They also offer many additional activities. The room was clean and there was no musty smell in the drawers, a situation I experienced in previous stays.
We loved the hotel. The location, the beach, rooms, and the pool. Everything was great. The way how they welcomed us, exceptional. The room was perfectly clean. Me , my wife and our 2 years old enjoyed our 3 days vacation.
Really lovely place with great facilities. So nice to see it recovering from the hurricane. Really welcoming atmosphere and we will definitely be back to stay on Sanibel in the future. Bed was really comfy too!
The location is wonderful! We really enjoyed walking on the beach every morning collecting MANY shells. The pool was very refreshing to cool off after our walks. We had a nice view of the water too.
Our room was immaculate! Beautiful grounds right on the beach! We made use of the gas barbecue, beach lounge chairs with umbrellas, and tandem kayaks!! Love, love, love!!
Beautiful location right on the beach with a screened-in porch and sitting area. Awesome kayaking excursion provided by the hotel. Very relaxing atmosphere.
