Cordoba is a good example of what happens when you don't...
Cordoba is a good example of what happens when you don't have good urban planning. There are some beautiful buildings here and there but there is no real old centre even thought the city was founded in 1573--450 years ago--and has the oldest university in the country! Instead one finds high rises built helter skelter and so there is no harmony to the city. Also, most of the facades are blackened by dirt and pollution. We took a city tour by bus but the narrator had little to say in English compared to the Spanish version. It was not worth the expense. The people, however, are lovely and friendly and the cost of eating is low for tourists with US dollars. If we ever come back, it will be to visit the many attractions in the province, which will require renting a car. I advise you to go online to see what to do and see in the city.

Very nice historic centre.
Very nice historic centre. Also very nice art galleries and museums. Found some good restaurants and cafes. Visited Alta Gracia and the Che Guevara museum. Only off putting thing was Neuva Cordoba although pleasant full of bars and nightclubs which make sleeping difficult.

Cordoba is the 2nd largest city in Argentina and has seven universities so the population is pretty young. It is a great city to walk in as it has several pedestrian only streets through the downtown.
I recommend the City Tour Bus to get a sense of the central area. Many great cafes and restaurants. Several museums and art galleries worth seeing. Taxis are everywhere and cheap for US visitors. The exchange rate is changing daily so get your money in an ATM early in the day as they run out.

CordUnfortunately, most museums, galleries and even churches (even the historic temples) are only open in the afternoon. The surrounding villages are beautiful.oba is a city with relatively few tourist attractions, but it is a truly youthful, vibrant city.

Wonderful colonial centre; fabulous cafes and pedestrian walkways. A great student vibe. Highly recommend. Would also recommend taking the bus to Alta Gracia and visiting the Che Guevara museum and Jesuit estancia.
The apartment is hosted in an old, renovated building with a lot of character (stylishly vintage).
Everything was clean and tidy, and the landlady handed me over the keys in person -it was very easy to communicate with her-. The apartment has 2 air-con units , which were a blessing in the late-summer heat of Cordoba. There is also a lovely patio balcony outside to chill out in the evening.
Plenty of supermarkets and stores in the neighbourhood, and the center is at less than 15 minutes walk.
I don’t write reviews on Booking.com often but this place I can only highly recommend. The vibe the staff ist nice and sweet. On my first night the meneger organised a grill/Asado for everybody with drinks for free! The vibe was amazing. I have the feeling that only friendly and nice travelers are visitng this place. Made out surely my time in Cordoba. Location is in the center. You can pay with every card. Beds and toilets are clean. Rezeption 24h open.
Thank guys for lovely experience ❤️
The Hotel was one of the only two hotels in the city that were pet friendly. The owners and the staff were very friendly and all were pet lovers which made us very happy since were traveling with our French Bulldog. The rooms were clean and free breakfast was very good. It offers a free indoor garage parking which provided security for vehicle and peace of mind.
My wife booked this hotel for 3 nights in a standard double room on her trip to Uruguay and Argentina.
Positive:
- Staff is friendly and helpful, corresponds to the hotel category
- Room is large and modern
- Cleanliness is good
- The location of the hotel is good, you can reach everything very quickly on foot.
Location is good, right across from a modern mall, 3 blocks from central square, and several blocks from nice Nuevo Cordoba neighborhood. Apartment is modern with all the amenities: good WiFi, a/c, small kitchen, comfortable, well decorated, elevator, secure building. Good value.
An amazing heritage place to stay. The whole hotel was like a living museum, but very comfortable and welcoming.
Staff were brilliant, and the tour of the building a must
In a great location
The shower was good, and the apartment has a heater. The bed was comfortable, and the hotel had an okay location. The second receptionist helped us to take a cab.
The location is good for young people that likes party and go out. Is close to all the center attractions.
The parking was very nice, is close to the hotel
