Ayvalik is a nice place to spend a day or two.
Ayvalik is a nice place to spend a day or two. You can visit island Cunda by boat. Walk in the streets, see some attractions (museums, church, mosque eyc), enjoy nice food, soups, vegetables etc. If you have time consder taking the boat from Ayvalik to Greek island Lesbos-Midilli and spend few days there for a nice and quiet sea vacation. We stayed in Erresoss region in september and liked it. We plan to go again and explore more places in the island. Prices and quality offood wrre quite good and standard ( no surprises despite ig is a touristic place)

Nice town which is worthy of a stop for one or two nights, especially when the bazaar is taking place on the narrow streets of the old town. Good restaurant choices, and affordable prices. Everything is easy to reach by feet.
A very charming and lovely hotel! Location is superb, everything is in close walking distance. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful (helped with restaurant reservations, got us big bottles of water without additional fees, had lots of recommendations for activities). Breakfast was delicious (loved the full vegetarian breakfast buffet) and every day there were some new homebaked goods. AC in the room worked perfectly and was a blessing in the summer heat. Also, the cute hotel cat was a bonus.
The staff was really nice, and helpful, so here I give 10 points. We liked to eat our own food, as the restaurants are really overpriced in Cunda, and they allowed us to use their plates, cuttlery, and cleaned after us - I didn't even expect it, so it was a nice suprise. The hotel is decent, nicely renovated, and it feels good to be there. The staff was communicative, and translating with google from Turkish to English, so we felt we are able to communicate nicely.
the location is amazing, right in the middle of the town, next to the marina, on a magic street, probably one of the prettiest streets in Ayvalik. the staff is attentive and nice, breakfast very good. hotel itself is charming, a beautifully renovated old buidling.
they have live music in the evening (3 days a week) at the restaurant below, which is a big hit with visitors.
if you have the option, book the big last floor room with nice view.
totally recommended!
The rooms were located between the harbor and the city, which was really convenient if you visit Ayvalik by ship, like we did. The rooms were very clean and had all the important conveniences (wifi, A/C, TV, refrigerator). Mrs Banu was very polite and even though she didn't speak english, like almost every person in Ayvalik, she tried her best to communicate via technology and gave us all the information we needed. Everything was really great!
The historical property was perfectly converted for comforts of a stay. It was like staying with family. The owner came out to wish each person at breakfast. The staff is SUPERB, the breakfast EXCELLENT, the property BEAUTIFUL. If you like 5-star hotels with predictability and run of the mill luxuries, it will be wasted on you. If you like true experiences and appreciate aesthetics, culture and history, you will come back here again and again.
The hotel is situated on the calm street 200 meters away from the central beach. It offers spacious two-bed flats. Every flat has well-fitted kitchen, two bedrooms, dining room and bathroom. The hotel has been managed by a very kind, helpful and cheerfully family. It has a small private parking.
In conclusion, I heartily recommend the Ahmeda apart hotel to the visitors of Ayvalik.
Wonderful little hotel in a converted house. The decorating and design were wonderful. Friendly and helpful staff and a wonderful breakfast on the terrace. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.
The breakfast is the best, very complete and delicious; eating in the garden is such a beautiful experience. The location is perfect to discover the streets of Ayvalik. The Hotel is warm and very cozy.
Big sized sink, public bus stopped near to accommodation, best breakfast in my 2.5 weeks in Turkey, good wi-fi connection, comfortable room. The staff helped to ring for a taxi for me on departure.
Fantastic little hotel. Warm welcome. Great position in lovely little village. Owners were SO accommodating. Wife served the best breakfast in all Turkey. Best place to stay in Küçükköy!
The staff went above and beyond to assist us.
The hotel has history. The owner shared his renovation photos with us. Truly a unique boutique hotel. The airconditioner worked very well.
Everything was great. Beautiful place to stay in and excellent attention. Great location near to Cunda Island and breakfast was delicious. Mentesh and his wife were excellent host.
The hotel is on a great place in the traditional area. The breakfast is just convenient, but you could ask more and more. Th staff very helpful. Order pizza. It was great.
Great boutique hotel in a central yet peaceful location. Incredibly kind and helpful staff. Nice and varied breakfast. Very clean rooms. Free private parking is a huge plus.
Peaceful and cozy place where you can jump in the water as soon as you open your eyes. Beautiful hotel with kind and friendly people. Will definitely come back again!
