This traditional, rustic villa is located in the village of Chromonastiri, 4.3 mi from the beach and 6.8 mi from Rethymno. Settled in the traditional village of Chromonastiri, really close to Rethymno Town, lie Sokaki Villas, a wonderful complex of two Villas, Sokaki Villa I & Sokaki Villa II, each of them with separate entrance, private pool, outdoor area and facilities. Both of them are ideal for those who wish an authentic family friendly Villa and seeking a summer experience in a picturesque village. Bonus: It’s worth mentioning that both Villas are also very baby friendly oriented, equipped with all the necessary equipment a family travelling with a baby will need, including: a baby cot, a baby crib, a high chair, a baby potty, a buggy & baby step, a stroller, stair gate (on the top of stairs), a baby car seat, a plastic children's swimming pool, two life jackets for children and children’s plastic (non-breakable) plates and cups are available upon request. Sokaki Villa I : outdoor children toys (slide and see-saw) and some indoor toys such as children table & chair and other small toys and board games ) are also available upon request. Sokaki Villa II : outdoor children toys (Children's play house & toys) and some indoor toys such as children table & chair and other small toys and board games are also available upon request. Sokaki Villa I & II are located in the picturesque village of Chromonastiri and are located within walking distance to local tavernas, cafe and mini market. It has been classified as a preserved and traditional heritage site of great cultural value and it’s considered as one of the most important historic settlements of Rethymno. Chromonastiri means 'Colour Monastery' after the Byzantine church dating from the 11th century. Within this pretty village there are numerous stone paths, historic alleys, buildings with Venetian architectural elements are scattered in the village, but the most imposing building is the so-called Villa Claudio, a magnificent mansion, which has been restored and now houses an Army museum. Furthermore, a 5X5 football field and a children’s playground is available at the village. Additionally, its location area makes it a perfect destination for a relaxing family holiday close to nature. -In the nearby village of Saint Irene (Agia Irini) there is the homonymous old Monastery, which is considered to date back to the 14th century and is definitely worth a visit. -Rethymno town, which is 15 minutes away by car, offers all the amenities guests will need, such as supermarkets, pharmacies, banks and ATM machines, restaurants, cafes and bars, post office etc. Additionally, from the village you can easily reach the highway leading to Chania and Heraklion cities.
