The location is great. Many interesting sites are around in the area.
We had a rented car and lots of parking space is available in front of the reception.
It's calm around. Especially in the morning and evening you can sit outside and listen to nature (frogs and birds). However, you have to ask the personnel to turn off the pool recycling (see below).

Nice, quiet peaceful location out in the middle of nowhere nestled within rice terraces. While the villa was far from the airport that's what makes it secluded. There's a few local restaurants you can walk to on foot if you want, but not a big selection. The resort food was nice so no need to go anywhere else if you don't want to. We rented a scooter from a nearby place we walked to. It was fun to drive around the local area because there wasn't much traffic which made it easier. We drove into Ubud some but turned around after a while because it's just too busy. Get up go out and walk around and enjoy the fresh air and friendly locals. The staff are great, I could write a whole paragraph about them. They were very accommodating and helpful :)

This was by far our favorite stay in all of Bali. Beautiful and comfortable villas in the most gorgeous setting. We easily could have spent another two weeks here - one for doing all the tours and exploring, and one just for relaxing at the stunning infinity pool.

Fresh air, rice terraces, Balinese people are very friendly and courteous. Nature, vegatation, forest.. waterfalls and temples. My husband and I stayed at Aksari Ubud Resort & Spa … this place is my personal version of paradise. Staff were very cordial… they aim to please … the resort has great amenities and awesome infinity pools. The entire place has wifi, room has smart TV with Netflix, the resort is clean and very well maintained and smells like aromatherapy (spa) with “zen” music..,

Its got some lovely attractions and sights. Its peaceful and quiet without being too remote. Spending time amongst the people here gives you a sense of what life in Bali is really like and not just what they put on for tourists.

Last time I came to Bali, I only stayed in Ubud. Tegalalang is only a short trip away, but it is so peaceful and absolutely beautiful. Waterfalls, rice paddies, jungle, friendly locals and you really can experience Bali here. I have never felt more grateful, free and alive. Make sure to rent a moped to get the most out of it!

Far away enough from the city centre to be tranquil and relaxed with plenty of local activities such as the rice terrace and swings, close proximity to temples, waterfalls and volcano without the hustle and bustle of the centre.
My wife and I liked everything in the hotel, very attentive staff, breakfast, as well as the restaurant! Everything is clean and tidy, so quiet and everything is green that you don't feel other people there. I want to express special attention and gratitude to our taxi driver Mr I Wayan Wirawan (Wi),who was recommended to us at the reception and showed us the sights for several days and drove Us, a very kind and cultured person, and special thanks for his gift) we will definitely return to Bali and to this hotel 😊
Outstanding value for money, excellent service and friendly welcoming staff. The rooms were clean and the towels and linen fresh. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Lovely countryside location next to a small rice terrace. You really need a car or bike to get around. Great breakfast and the dinner freshly cooked to order was, again excellent value for money. We sat in the terrace watching fireflies in the evening darkness, absolutely magical
Cicada is not just a place to stay; it's a destination that lingers in your heart long after you leave. The perfect blend of natural beauty, luxury, and heartfelt hospitality makes it a haven for those seeking an authentic and rejuvenating escape. If you're looking to create unforgettable memories in the heart of Bali, Cicada is the place to be. I left feeling renewed, inspired, and eager to return to this haven of serenity.
Excellent hotel. Love the calmness and ambiance. Bali has been our annual vacation preference for years, however this is the first time we decided to stay in the Ubud area. We wanted to experience staying in a villa with forest and rice terrace view. This resort is just amazing. Villa is clean, staffs are sincerely friendly, good food, a nice place for a relaxing vacation.
You cannot ask for a more serene setting. After the hustle and bustle of Ubud arriving at Papas Villas was truly paradise. Wayan and his family could not have been more friendly or helpful. From great meals to driving us wherever we wanted to go. The villa was very nice and extremely clean. And the view cannot be beat. We were extremely happy with our stay.
Amazing villas in Bali nature, the staff is so nice polite and always happy to help with anything - I had breakfast and dinners in the room, did laundry, rented a scooter and eve did a massage in the room. Incredible stay, would 100% recommend. Location is great too, just 30 min away from Ubud - which is actually amazing, because it’s quiet and peaceful!
Excellent Scenic Resort with a Jacuzzi on its roof.
One of the nicest stays in Bali. Although we stayed here for a day, we enjoyed a lot especially the interiors, the Jacuzzi, the Hanging net bed and the projectors inside the room!! Oh man, it was just awesome.
It's slightly pricey but worth it as it comes with Breakfast and dinner.
Extremely nice people, beautiful and huge rooms with stunning views! We came by motorbike to this place. In the afternoon we had a walk through a village nearby. That's the real Bali. On their visitingcards it says free morningwalk, free flower pray session learning but I saw it too late, so we have to come back, haha!
A small hotel with lots of character. A lot of thought put in to all the extra things in the room. The most comfortable bed I have slept in for the 3 weeks I was in Bali. The most room facilitues too. A restaurant next door with amazing food and huge range to choose from.
The hotel is in a beautiful position with views from the balcony over the jungle and the staff are very helpful organising transport to nearby attractions such as the the rice terraces. The food is very good and the pool is lovely!
Easy check in, fast communication, kind people, moto bike rental and just 45 min to Batur Lake, gorgeous view around to the mountains and rice terraces from the room and swimming pool.
We chose GK Bali Resort for our honeymoon. The hotel is super comfortable, the staff is always ready to help. the private pool and common infinity pool is nice to chill out.
The property is new in Ubud. all is about fresh and the facilities are premium. Kadek is so friendly and helpfull. There is kitchen too. Our stay is superb and nice
If you want to experience true Bali, this is an excellent place. Amazing villas, iconic scenery from every window and very warm staff. We felt absolutely great!
The spacious room and the view of the sunrise and rice terrace in front of the room. The peace and restful environment is what we enjoyed about the property.
Lovely and peaceful with beautiful view of rice terraces. Very agreeable staff and all requests were met. It was an easy walk to the rice terraces trekking.
