Owner was very nice and greeted each new traveller with a map and marked it with restaurants, etc. Easy walk to train and bus station.

This guesthouse offers breakfast and dinner. The chef/owner possesses advanced cooking skills and uses local ingredients including goat cheese made onsite. I was lucky to have the place to myself. Location was great. Nakamura San recommended a nice restaurant nearby called Ichiyoshi. Staff isn’t on site but I was ok with that.

The private house was right on the Kumano. We stayed only one night but wish it was longer. Shino is the perfect host! After eating breakfast at her cafe, we went to board the bus across the street. I completely forgot my bag. Shino made sure I got it back! She had the bus company flag down the bus we were on and delivered it to me. Her homemade meals and warm accommodations will not be forgotten any time soon!!
