The Eucalyptus Hotel is located approximately two and a half miles from the airport and two and a half miles from Fira, the capital of Santorini. To use the public transportation, for most bus routes you have to first travel to Fira and take a bus from the Central Bus Station (except for a couple of routes that take in the southern part of the island and the airport bus). The bus stops in Mesaria are very close to the hotel. There are several restaurants close to the hotel and a supermarket which stays open until midnight is right across the street. The rooms in the hotel are spacious and the beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. I did not participate in breakfast, so I can't comment on that. The manager was very helpful with information on tours and booking what I wanted to do. Santorini is daily inundated with cruise ship visitors who totally overpower the island, especially during the high season--middle May until around the end of September. Mesaria is far enough from Fira and is not the home of any of the "must sees" on Santorini that the day crowds do not typically come to this village. I highly recommend this property and if/when I return to Santorini, I will definitely stay here again.

The host came to meet us and greeted us. She gave a lot of information about the local attractions and restaurants given we were there during off-season. That list was very helpful to navigate the island.

Mesaria is a very small 'crossroads' town with the main road being very busy with traffic especially large trucks.
There are some lovely local restaurants which serve good food at reasonable prices and two supermarkets. A good bakery sells miniature ice-creams that are very welcome in the heat and there is a small souvenir shop.

We loved the Galini restaurant and left their business card in the apartment. It is only 5 minutes by car and we went there 4 times, each time great food, huge portions, fast service, soft Greek music and next to a pretty pebble beach. Mostly Greek customers it seems though English menu available. All the seafood dishes are heavenly ! Mixed grill of seafood for two is amazing value. See 2 pictures of Galini.

The town was in a fairly rural area and seemed to be inhabited by locals more than tourists which was exactly what we wanted for our trip. All the shops you could need are within a short walk (although be prepared to walk up and down some steep inclines).
I strongly recommend finding Vothonaki Café/Meze/Bar, very friendly staff with very good English (And very happy to hear you attempting Greek) and can help recommend tours and activities and such. Some of the best food we had all week.

For a first visit to Santorini i feel I should have chosen Fira to be close to everything. The bus to our accomodation drops us about 10 min walk from the house and it is quite a walk.... If you rent a quad that won t be an issue though.

The room is really spacious and has the luxurious feel to it. The bathroom has a lot of space as well to put your towels, clothes and every piece of bathing equipments you usually need to bring. The staff is really helpful and will do extra to make their guests happy. The close proximity to the airport and the free shuttle service will make this a perfect accommodation if you're looking for a place to stay near the airport.

I'm very satisfied with this room.
I'm very satisfied with this room. Everything is very nice and clean. The landlord was very friendly and helped us a lot! Very recommended here! I really like it! I hope we'll come back next time.
It was an excellent experience. The owner and staff are very helpful, they helped me make a car reservation, the airport is only 5 minutes by car, the establishment is located in a nice area called Messaria, you have a big courtyard to park your car, a close supermarket with all you need, the flat is extremely comfy, we felt like home there and I truly recommend it. We will definitely return to Santorini, a week was not enough to see the whole beauty of the island.A big thank you to the owner for all the help provided, you have a 10 from us.
Good location, near great restaurants, supermarket and bus stop which had buses to different directions including - Bus to airport (10 min away)
- Bus to Fira - one of the beautiful places where you can see the the sunset (15 min away)
- Bus to Kamari beach (10 min away)
- Bus to Perissa beach (15 min away)
The hotel was 3 min away from the bus stop.
Great staff who helped us with everything we asked for and were available 24/7 for our questions :).
We are super happy about our stay and would go back there if we are in Santorini.
We booked this hotel for our last day because it is convenient to the airport. We had a lovely, quiet room with a large patio and sea view. The proprietor was friendly, welcoming, gave us a great room, good suggestions for things to do on our last day in Santorini, and arranged our transportation to the airport. The room came with breakfast but we had to leave before breakfast was served. To our delight, on our way to the taxi we were presented with a very generous sack breakfast which was delicious!!!
Villa was very modern and comfortable. It is very peaceful and great for relaxing. We really enjoyed having so much space and great facilities. We had a car which came in very handy to see other parts of the island. Messeria is in an ideal location to visit all parts of the island.
The village has plenty shops and supermarkets. The owner is a very nice man and offers lots of advice for visitors. Santorini is a peach, hope to return and hope to stay in this lovely villa again.
Firsty, hotel was very clean, breakfast were met our expectations. Personnel always helpful and cheerful. Also, Dimitris who has responsible of the hotel was very kind and helpful person. He guided us about the santorini’s beatiful places. I definetly recommend this hotel to the couples who likes tranquility and slience. I also recommend any couple who will go Santorini rent a car. Because it makes life easier at santorini.
The hotel is new and I really enjoyed my short stay. I would stay again. The views are spectacular and the rooms are comfortable. Many gifts included with room such as wellness and beauty kits containing good quality sunscreen. Restaurant was nice and not too expensive staff very friendly. Was able to get a whole bottle of nice local wine for a good price!
We did not stay at Alluvial Santorini Suites, as we were moved at the last minute by the manager, due to an issue with the previous guests. We were told that we would be given an 'upgrade' in their sister hotel, nearby. We were moved to Acave Suites. The room was very clean, modern and very peaceful inside with a comfortable bed and also a jaccuzzi.
Very good attention to guests. The room is very good price/ quality but the cleanliness of it made definitely our stay more enjoyable.
With private transportation everything is close and the owner help us renting a scooter which at the end we enjoyed so much because it gave us very good insights of Santorini.
Thank you Villa Danezis
What a gorgeous hotel! Beautiful views of the ocean, very clean and amazingly friendly and helpful staff! Food was great as well. The hotel is a 5 minute drive to the airport. We took taxi's daily to different parts of the island and the hotel did an amazing job coordinating it each time.
Location was good, the hotel was close to Mesaria center. 20 mins to Oia with car. The receptionist was so kind and informative. Breakfast was good. Wifi was good, too.
Overall cleanliness and COVID-19 precautions was very good.
It’s a brand new and very nice hotel with cyclade architecture. The staff is very friendly. It’s located in Mesaria, 5min by foot from the town centre, from where you can take a bus to Fira, Kamari, Perissa.
An architecturally clever hotel that merges traditional features with contemporary visions and offers a different side to the usual Santorini experience. I will recommended with no hesitation
Wonderful facilities and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend the Marvarit Suites as location to explore the wonders of Santorini
Great choice for Santorini . Room was perfect , staff very Professional and helpful . big Plus the parking area .definitely we go back there . Tnx Arlene Hotel
The hotel was amazing, the breakfast excellent
Michael the owner was fantastic, super friendly.
The room and the pool sides was so clean.
I recommend 100%.
Stunning little hotel. Very relaxing atmosphere and the staff are super friendly. I will highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Santorini.
The room was fine but the hotel is not conveniently located. Unless you need to be close to the airport, there are better areas to stay for similar prices.
