This is a lovely hotel and everyone was very kind and helpful. Sabrina and the other staff were all extremely generous with every request and even in the afternoons and upon arrival I didn’t have to pay for coffee or juice. She even offered free beverages to my friends who dropped me off at the hotel and said it was an arrival gift. The hotel just had its grand opening the previous day so everything was festive with big balloons at the entry. I speak Italian but not perfectly so she could speak English to help when I didn’t have the correct Italian words. I liked the room, a comfortable bed and the pillow was memory foam and definitely the most comfortable I’ve had in Italy. The room had everything I needed for a single traveler and even had a new tv although I didn’t use it. It was very clean and simple, and there was soap and a new hairdryer to use. There was good wifi down in the cafe/bar on the ground floor and a no smoking policy near the rooms. The bar/restaurant is downstairs so if you need quieter evenings, ask for a room on a higher floor. Breakfast was always as much as I could eat and there were plenty of tables in the mornings to eat out on the big patio or inside. I chose either the pre-made sandwiches and pastries which were really good or a huge hot breakfast with eggs, meat and all the sides, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and focaccia. Very exceptional service if you find yourself wanting to stay in a small town. I didn’t need a car and the buses run to Piacenza every hour or thirty minutes during certain times of the day. The bus stop is only about 50 meters from the hotel which is on the main road to Piacenza and very quick by car or bus. Thanks to all the staff for helping me with everything I needed during my stay.

We stayed here while hiking the Via Francigena and it was among the best hotels we stayed in. Comfortable and clean room, very good restaurant and breakfast, ample space in bar for reading and internet use - overall highly recommended.
