Very comfortable and well located. Simple but tasty breakfast, pleasant staff and a lovely setting over rice fields. Enjoyed the boardwalk around the bungalows and the many pleasant places to sit and relax. Close to a main road so very accessible but set back from it so very peaceful

Great place to stay! Our host was incredibly kind as she let us not only check in early to our room, but also upgraded us free of charge. She left us complimentary water in the fridge that was nice and cold when we arrived. The room was also very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and the location was a very short drive from the city (only about 7-8 minutes). Very wonderful

Looking for a pleasant setting off the beaten path? Nestled in the quiet hills of outer Mae Hong Son about 4.5 kilometers or 3 miles from the city center you'll find the quaint Phuchomjan Resort with bungalow-style accommodations. I was greeted by friendly staff and checked into my room very easily. There was plenty of coffee and tea provided, a small refrigerator, working air-conditioner with added fan, firm and comfortable bed, puffy pillows and clean bedding. The bathroom had a great bath which I used a couple of times. There was a small desk for coffee and work, and an inviting balcony with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and even a banana tree just near my bungalow. It was a peaceful and serene stay with soft Thai and Thai Yai music coming from a distant bungalow, quiet chatter, laughter and happiness from other patrons. Bonus: There is a great little market and restaurant very near by, less than a 2 minute walk. The owner's name is Dam and the name of the shop is Hoi Kha.

Nothing to see except nearby shrine on tophills with stunning view of the town. Proximity to few Karen tribe villages.
Besides that the town itself has nothing to offer. No life on streets and most of business closed after 8 pm.

I did the famous Mae Hong Son loop on scooter for 3 nights/4 days and it was perfect. People tend to stay in Pai for a few days to make it a little longer, but since I didn't like Pai, one night stay was perfect for me.

We had three days in MHS the ( Dec31-Jan 3) New years eve down by the lake in the town was great. So much going on and people everywhere. Good food stalls and market every night and i recommend eating at the Good View resteraunt by the lake. For anyone who's trip in MHS is due to riding the Mae Hong Son Loop , this is the town to get your souvenier t-shirts, stickers etc. All in all Mae Hong Son is a great place to visit for a few days .I also recommend taking the side roads off the main Loop road.

Such a laid back, friendly place.
Such a laid back, friendly place. If you are near the small lake you are near what you need. Killer night market. This is maybe my 10th night market in Thailand and maybe my favourite. Good food and cheap. Beautiful setting at night along the lake. The viewpoint on the mountain is fantastic. Walk up the stairs and earn the view. Behind the Wat is a cement road going up and this is where you can look out to Burma. Rent bikes and make your way out of town, cross the Pai River and explore the roads. Great easy cycling. Biggest obstacle is the heat. We are both in our early 60’s and had no issues. Come for 3 days and stay for 9 like us if you can. The best Chicken Khao Soi can be had at Khaw Soi Panoon. Also check out the morning Market 😍
Cute little cottage in semi-rural area in the outskirts of town.
Very well equipped. Airco, shower and fridge work well.
We loved sitting on our little porch with a cold drink overlooking the green area and with the neighborhood dogs playing around.
You will need your own transport to go to the center of town. It's about 10 minutes on the motorcycle.
Mae Hong Son has a lovely night market and some very nice places to eat and drink around it.
We enjoyed our stay very much!
Our favourite stop on the Mae Hong Son loop! Look out for the little sign as we went right past it! But when we arrived it was the warmest welcome from the most wonderful host! There wasn't anything that was too much, even lighting up the fire pit! Food was incredible and great value. Room was so clean, comfortable and modern and we truly felt at home. Cant recommend this place enough!
The staff was lovely and the guy was really great with comfortable beds. Daa is an amazing cook. I had both dinner and breakfast the next day. Dinner was yellow chicken curry soup with lots of vegetables. It was one of the best meals I've had during 6 weeks in Thailand. Breakfast the next morning included homemade bread. Wow!
This is one of the most beautiful spots I have ever stayed at. Even after more than 10 years in Thailand, i can say this place is special.
Fantastic nature views, unique nightsky, great location, close to Pang Oung and Baan Rak Thai while quite and away from the road.
Simplicity in all its wonder.
This is one of the most memorable stays on our five years of travels. Expect serene eco huts next to nature, solid wi-fi, cute dogs, surprisingly soft beds for Asian standards and a lovely host. A perfect stop on the Mae Hong Son loop, wish we could have stayed longer.
The host was very thoughtful and easy to communicate with. She was responsive and ensured our stay was comfortable. A pleasant 10min walk to the Lake where all the street foods and attractions are. We would stay again when we're visiting Mae Hong Son in the future.
One of the best places I've been to in northern Thailand. Perfect location just two blocks from the night market. Just the right mix of social and home-like feelings. Thanks for all the morning treats and the great recommendations, hope to come visit again :)
Such a lovely place, possibly my favorite hostel in all of my travels of northern Thailand. The owner is the most amazing person, super friendly. And she gives the option to cook dinner together as a group, a great way to learn to cook authentic Thai food!
Great hotel in Mae Hong Son. Easy to find, right on the main road, but just far enough out of town to be quiet and relaxed (but still easy to get into down). Beautiful reception, friendly staff, lovely rooms with all the necessary amenities.
one of my favorite places I have stayed in Thailand. the owner is SO hands on. will help you with anything you need and for 80 baht will cook a feast with you. make
for such a nice vibe after the parties in the south :)
The hostel is situated in the middle of Mae Hong Son with lots of supermarkets in walking distance. The owner is nice and the whole process was very easy. There is a common area on the first floor to relax, eat or work.
Beautiful location and views from the room, really friendly and welcoming team, came with a mosquito net for the bed which is a first for my stays in Northern Thailand and very welcome! Highly recommend staying here!
