I really liked how comfortable it was and the access to a really good TV range
It was quiet and had everything I needed to feel at home away from home. Thankyou

The location was easy to find, no problems. Access was easy also, the host had given us clear instructions. The bed was very comfortable, nice. The room had a heat pump which was great and kept the room cosy. There was a decent size refrigerator which was great for us and the continental breakfast was well appreciated. A well thought out and delightful accommodation.

The river view, wharf view in the evening was gorgeous.
The river view, wharf view in the evening was gorgeous. The walkway and boardwalk are a desirable, peaceful place to walk. The beach was the highlight of our visit as well as the farmers market. We preferred the beautiful fresh food from the farmers market opposed to take aways and restaurants we've dined at previously. We ate at a variety of cafes, restaurants and take aways. Without naming them we'll definitely be buying fresh produce and using the BBQ provided at our motel or available at Midway beach to cook our own steak served with fresh local produce, including fine wine, bread and honey. It's easy to get around Gisborne, but be aware of hazardous drivers and pedestrians. On our next visit we will avoid over spending trying to source excitable and palatable cuisine including takeaways.

Full of character with many 19th c buildings still surviving. Lovely beaches east and west with excellent access. Strong Maori influence including Cook's landing interpretations. City easy to access, with outrageous parking charges made until midnight on Saturday night! With accommodation, restaurant, gifts, and fuel costs spent amounting to NZ$2000 over three nights of our stay... give us a break

There are better places to visit that are much less difficult to travel to than Gisborne, we went because we had never been before so it was good to see the place but wouldn’t go to the trouble to go back.
Roadworks from Napier to Gisborne were many with many stoppages. Long slow winding road. Gisborne to Whakatane however was a very pleasant very scenic drive starting off with Gisborne's horticulture then farmland then through a native forested river gorge. Gisborne's main retail strip looks great and is well laid out, the palm trees set it off so well on a sunny day. The famous Eastwoodhill Arboretum was a bit of a let down, it was a big reason we finally decided to add Gisborne to our trip however it didn’t live up to the online pictures and information we saw of it. Basically it’s just hilly farmland heavily planted out sporadically with various trees and riddled with many tracks colour coded but good luck trying to completely follow a particular track as some markers weren’t there at various intersections. It’s nice for a bit of a hilly tree walk but there is nothing particularly organised or grand about the plantings that looks anything like you see of tree plantings in various Botanical Gardens.

My first time visit to gisborne.
My first time visit to gisborne. Town centre is not big, but it was interesting. I enjoyed the botanical gardens and small museum during my visit. My visit was the middle of winter, but still enjoyable.

I found the Cook Landing Reserve to be underwhelming, It was disappointing in that there was not much about Captain Cook at the site, just gourds.
The Gisborne Museum was worth a visit.
The beaches would have been lovely if not for cyclone Hale.

The service is not good enough for one night stay...we ask for milk for cup of tea in the evening but the receptionist said, the housekeeper is going to bring for us...waiting for the evening no one is turned up even in the morning when we left...
The space and facilities available were easy and accessible. I was very close to where I needed to get my daughter to for her competition. Staff were all amazing. Keep doing a great job wāhine mā! Greeted with a smile and acknowledged in te reo when I greeted in te reo Māori followed by great service from the cleaning crew with a warm welcoming farewell smile when informed of something minor was broken. Ngā mihi maioha kia koutou Waikanae Top 10 Holiday Park.
Good breakfast with sufficient supplies. Great location very close to the city and most of the attractions/restaurants etc.
Very friendly hosts Herman and Nadene. Their recommendations helped us greatly to quickly jump on exploring attractions in Gisborne easily. We stayed 3 nights and feel could spend easily up to 4 to 5 nights in Gisborne as there are plenty of places to visit from good beaches, rivers, parks, walks, museum etc.
Lovely host. Super friendly and helpful. Able to borrow their spare car at an extra fee which made the trip easier. Nice little spread of breakfast items available complimentary. Lovely porch and good off street parking space outside the house. Free wifi. Streaming sites available on TV (Netflix and Disney plus). Able to do airport pick up and drop offs. Great Gisborne recommendations provided. Overall a great stay!
I really enjoyed my stay at this location...........within minutes Tarquin, Lincoln and Crystal (the management team) made me feel like family, They did a great job of tucking away my bike, showing me around the facility, spending time with me teaching me about kitchen use, open area use and enjoyable things to do around Gisborne.........we will remain lifelong friends after this visit.
Hotel was as described. Leigh was very helpful, friendly and informative. The room was spacious and access to the outside garden was easy. everything was clean and the room was bright and airy. Tea and coffee facilities in the kitchenette were appreciated and the full sized fridge a bonus. Check in and out was easy and hassle free.
Great location -- short walk to center of town and city beach. Room/bathroom very comfortable, well equipped and very clean. Bed was sooooo comfortable. Owner/Host very knowledgeable, friendly with helpful advice. I highly recommend and would be my choice of where to stay in Gisborne.
We thought it was amazing vet handy to where we needed to go and absolutely stunning when the sun came out. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to all our friends and family if we head back to Gisborne in the future.
Very disappointed that there was a no refund policy. My circumstances changed and I had to leave a day earlier. Did nir like Gisborne - felt compromised in the town centre, felt unsafe and I'll probably never return
We loved the location, so close to the beach. The Sauna and spa were a complete luxury and at such a low additional cost. Staff had great communication; self-check in instructions prior to arrival and helpful on site.
Easy to find on arrival in Gisborne, and very well furnished and equipped. Many little 'extras' such as a choice of cereals, chocolates, and a very unobtrusive but highly appreciated unit service during the stay.
Lovely little place just around the corner from the CBD of Gisborne. Walked to the Harbour most evenings for dinner where there were plenty of choices. Place was clean and tidy.
A great location on the northern beaches of Gisborne.
Room was very nice, modern and clean.
Staff were really nice, welcoming and friendly.
Would definitely stay here again.
